The house was very clean and the layout was perfect for teen 3 kids and 2 sets of adults. With 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom for this price was absolutely amazing. The hot tub and fire pit were used a lot. We had a wonderful 5 day stay.

Cabin was dusty, inside and out. Spider webs in cabin. Stove top two large burners cook on high only. I did report this and they were receptive. Told them we were not going to be using anymore on our trip so they stated they would have someone check it out after we left. Communication with Morning Breeze Cabins was very good.

What a Retreat!

The cabin was amazing! So warm and cozy but so much room at the same time. We enjoyed the fireplace so much. Sitting out on the porch or by the fire pit was a daily routine. We loved everything about it and will definitely book again!

Scrap book retreat

Two of my Scraping friends an I spent a wonderful week there. It was everything as described. Beautiful house and area. We were there during the storm, Helene, but weathered it very well. A+++.

First trip to Blue Ridge

This was my first trip in Blue Ridge, and I had a great time. The property was incredible and a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It was just me, but it was great to get away with some alone time just me in the woods enjoying nature. I’ll definitely be back.

Our Favorite Cabin

This property is beautiful. My husband and I had our 12 and 13 year old children and our Goldendoodle. It was perfect for us. We had fun with the pool table and hot tub!!! This house is worthy of a second visit!! You won’t be disappointed.

It was a good stay and a nice, spacious house. We especially loved the screened-in porch and gas fireplace, as well as the almost identical bedroom suites on the main floor. The only slight downside was that there are multiple homes pretty close by. In the winter with less foliage, you certainly feel the (albeit pretty quiet) neighborhood you are in. If you are looking for remote seclusion, this might not be the spot, but it may feel more private in the spring/summer when you can’t see as many houses. (No huge biggie, but something to note for folks that *would* matte to.) Really dog-friendly, however, which was wonderful!!

Overall good property…nice size bedrooms, and living areas….however, the cleanliness could be better…there was hair in one of the bathroom sinks, kitchen counter was filthy, an old used bathroom soap still left in the shower.Update needed on tvs…smart tv

Friends Mountain Weekend

Property was as advertised. Cabin was nice and clean and stocked with everything we needed. My one problem was the hot tub. We specifically chose a cabin with a hot tub and when we went to get in let’s just say the water wasn’t exactly hot. They have a lock box on the temperature control as well so we weren't able to change it. When I reached out to the property manager she said that it’s at 100 and they won’t adjust it. Maybe it was set at 100 but it sure was not hot enough to go sit in during this cold weather. I wouldn’t book this cabin if getting in the hot tub is important to you. Otherwise everything else was nice.

Spacious, clean, perfect for family retreat

Easy access to a mountain home within a friendly, well kept private community. Large lots per home so we still felt like we were on our own. I immediately recognized the house as we approached it with its large carport and screened in porches that allow everyone to enjoy outdoors with their pets (without worrying that the pets will run off). Did I mention the house is spotless? It is including no cobwebs to be found. The kitchen is large, allowing for several people to work together while still visiting with everyone and watching TV. There had been a power outage previous to our visit causing the hot tub to turn off. We didn’t realize that until we wanted to use the hot tub, so that was a disappointment. Recommend to future visitors that they check the hot tub shortly after arrival because it will take over a day to warm up to desired temperature. The hot tub circuit breaker is attached to the corner of the house next to the tub (we had trouble finding it DOH). It would have been nice to have some chair seating around the fire pit, and a handy method to put the fire out such as a bucket (maybe even filled with sand). We appreciated having an information book to browse through that contained lots of useful tips for the house, seasonal insects, and local area. Kudos for the labeled light and fan switches throughout, that sure helped! I think my favorite feature of this home was that EVERY bedroom was en-suite.

Really nice property, but not ultra-luxury

First, we had a great stay and I want to emphasize this is a gorgeous home in a great location. Plenty of room, comfy beds& furniture, the screened-in porch is wonderful,the host company was great when we called. We would 100% stay here again. That said, my husband and I love mountain vacations and have stayed in luxury mountain homes all over the world. I love to cook also, so we generally look for high-end properties with nice kitchens. Lovely as it is, it's a stretch to call this home 'ultra luxury', as there were some things about it that I'd describe as almost miserly. Exs: *The thermostat has a governor which doesnt allow the air conditioning to be turned below 70F/21C. Even though we slept with the windows open & ceiling fans on, it was stuffy and uncomfortable a few nights.Thankfully our stay was in the fall with cooler temps--if we'd stayed here in the summer, we'd have been miserable. *We (2 adults) booked the home for 6 days. We were left exactly 4 bath towels and 3 washcloths. While we don't need clean towels daily, having so few meant we HAD to do laundry. *There is literally nothing consumable in the kitchen when you get there, & the pots & pans look like they've been gathered from yard sales. They send a note with this info upon payment, to be fair, but still. Most luxury places we've stayed have higher-end cooking implements, provide nice toiletries, basic spices, coffee, & maybe a bottle of wine or gift basket. Not luxury, but it was a lovely trip.

We are very happy that you loved the property and your stay in Blue Ridge! The Retreat really is a wonderful cabin with a very easy drive and great amenties. As you stated, we do inform our guests about no consumables and the number of towels (though you should have had one more washcloth, sorry about that). Our cabins are each individually owned and some owners do have certain limiters on the heating/cooling temperatures. We would have been happy to help, next time please call us as we could have had the owner change that for you. We will absolutely look into the cookware at the cabin and will replace any pieces that look like they are work out. For you and any future guests, please do not hesitate to contact us with any issue that may arise while staying with us as we will do our best to recify it. We do hope you come back again and stay with us in the future and again we are super happy you enjoyed yourselves and The Retreat.
