Tranquil Sunshine Coast hinterland farm stay on a working Macadamia farm

Relaxing getaway at Green Acres Macadamia farm in a beautifully renovated 3 bedroom cottage. Roam the orchard of 10 000 trees, swim, kayak or standup paddle board in the enormous clear dams. You can explore the adjoining National Park after enjoying a complimentary cheese platter on arrival.

End your days sitting around the outdoor fire pit or relax by the indoor wood heater. The cottage is airconditioned and has fans throughout. Maybe you would like to enjoy a glass of wine while soaking in the claw foot bath tub. If you would like to see how Macadamias are grown and harvested our welcoming hosts will be delighted to show you.

Green Acres Macadamia farm is situated 13 minutes from Gympie and backs onto a National Park and neighbours a dairy farm and cattle properties. Views in every direction are simply stunning. We are 30 minutes from Tin Can Bay and 40 minutes to Rainbow Beach.

Green Acres cottage sleeps 5 people however if you have a baby and can supply your own travel cot they are not included in this number.

Loved this farmstay! Quiet, serene, rejuvenating. De is lovely and very welcoming!Our highlight was seeing the wildlife and what we called the "sun room" - the bedroom overlooking the dam with THE BEST BREEZE! We spent our afternoons here just enjoying the beaut breeze. We needed our jumpers for this cool change, even during summer Thanks De! We'll be back for sure.

We absolutely loved our stay at Greens Creek, what an absolutely beautiful location and incredible cottage! De and Paul are wonderful hosts with every detail thoughtfully considered. The beds were comfortable, views incredible and the kids loved playing outside under the macadamia trees and cracking nuts. The weather was perfect for the firepit each evening and marshmallow smores! Thanks for the arrival snacks De! It was fascinating to see the end of the macadamia harvest and tour of the harvest process. We all enjoyed kayaking on the dam. It is not far into Gympie for extra supplies and activities including the Gold Museum. A memorable stay, we hope to return one day.

Second time and just as great!

We had another very relaxing stay on the macadamia farm. Didn’t think it could get better but De made us her world famous banana cake to supplement all the other welcome goodies and it was amazing. Everything you could need is provided and it’s all very clean and beautifully presented. Time spent in the dam is also very relaxing and highly recommended.

Happy!

A great place to get away from the busy-ness. The cottage is lovely, there was enough room for our family of four. The kitchen is well provided, lovely campfire. Farm tour by De was fun driving on the buggy! Great hosts, De & Paul. We loved our swims in the dam! We came home with bags of macadamias, thanks De & Paul!

My sisters and i spent the weekend here. The host was absolutely lovely. The views are amazing. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and renovated. Just the perfect place to stay. Highly Recommend

Such a perfect property

We booked our stay for a family getaway from the rush of life and could not have been happier with our choice. We loved the cottage and it was the perfect size for our family of four. It was perfectly clean and so well stocked with our lovely charcuterie board that we enjoyed around the fire with a bottle of wine. Our children loved the games and water activities and the beds were so very comfortable. We can’t wait to come back

Beautiful, Private, Well Equipped

We thoroughly Enjoyed our stay. Fantastic property... so homley, very clean and everything down to the smallest detal and has been thought out and provided. I would have to say in all of our travels this is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed. Wonderful Relaxing holiday which really gave us a chance to unwind and reconnect as a Family. We will be back for sure. Highly Recomended

The most relaxing weekend

We had an absolutely amazing relaxing weekend away for the family. De was the true definition of ‘Superhost’. A beautiful platter on arrival, a spotless cottage with everything we could have needed. We had a great time exploring the property and relaxing on the dam with the kayaks and paddle boards. We’ve done quite a few cottage getaways but this is our new favourite. We will be back!

Fantastic

Wonderful property with stunning views. Our family enjoyed Kayaking/paddleboarding on the dam. We also appreciated the aircon as we stayed during a heatwave (38 degrees) and all bedrooms and lounge stayed nice and cool.

The perfect family country escape

We had the most perfect weekend away on this beautiful property. The cottage had everything we needed, and was lovely and clean. The views were stunning, even better than the pictures. The host was so warm and welcoming, we felt right at home! The kids had an absolute ball with all the activities provided from board games, kayaking on the dam, to totem tennis & of course the swing with the view! We enjoyed relaxing by the outdoor fire and strolling through the gorgeous macadamia trees. We can’t wait to visit again!

PEACE AND CALM

I could not fault our stay. The property was amazing and Dee (our host) was helpful and friendly. The lovely suprise of an incredible platter (with local cheeses) when we arrived along with the endless supply of macadamia. Sitting on the hill with the fire watching the sunset was just the peace and calm I needed. Sadly it was winter and we didn't get to try the canoes or stand up paddle boards.

Peaceful family getaway

Perfect Relaxing Weekend

We stayed the weekend for our anniversary, every year around this time we go away. The cottage ticked all our boxes, from the host lighting the fire before we arrived to the very delicious cheese platter in the fridge and the wine and marshmallows around the fire. The cottage is lovely, very comfy bed and kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Loved the macadamia nuts, played games and had a walk in the orchid and down by the dam. Attention to detail is 100%, could not fault a thing, we loved every minute of our time there, it was the perfect, peaceful anniversary weekend for us!

Absolutely beautiful

This is one of the best getaways we've had as a family. Everything about the property is wonderful. You are right in the middle of the macadamia farm and surrounded by beautiful dams and lush countryside. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. We had the best weekend away and would love to go back.
