Come, escape and slow your pace. Commune with nature, and experience life on Nettles Farm. The Farmhouse Suite is a rustic but luxurious, gourmet Lummi Island experience for those wishing to experience full Island country flavor.

The Farmhouse Suite offers Queen beds with beautiful garden views and a private bath with soaking tub. Additional living space includes a leather love seat and a WoodStone 30 X 30 Fire Oven in the kitchen. 3 bedrooms and a bath upstairs allow space for additional 6 persons.

Your closest neighbors will be cheerful chickens, and the perfume will be the scent of fresh soil, the ocean breeze, and good fresh air.

This Island retreat is perfect for couples who enjoy the farm-to-table culinary adventure, and also families with children, and is sure to bring memories that last a lifetime.
Escape to luxurious, organic privacy at Nettles Farm. This bucolic retreat offers a perfect blend of good food and the opportunity to cook with high-quality, organic ingredients. Our rigorous Covid cleaning protocols include a Green Tech air sanitizer that allows ozone bombing between stays, effectively killing viruses and bacteria.

The Farmhouse Suite features four bedrooms with queen beds, a private deck overlooking beautiful gardens, a bath with a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. The gourmet kitchen includes a Wood Stone pizza oven, and the suite can sleep up to eight guests. Outside, enjoy a cooking and dining area equipped with a Big Green Egg and live fire cooking tools.

The main Farmhouse has three bedrooms with queen beds, private decks, a walk-in double steam shower, and a downstairs bathroom with a soaking tub. Its gourmet kitchen and wood stove in the great room make it ideal for gatherings. Additional amenities include a gas grill, charcoal grill, portable pizza oven, fire pit, and live fire cooking tools.

Each suite accommodates at least six guests and features its own kitchen garden. Minimum stay is two nights unless otherwise approved. Guests can also enjoy a wood-fired sauna for relaxation.

Set on over five acres of west-facing woodland and three acres of cultivated land, Nettles Farm was once row crop farmland for the Willows Inn. Now, it boasts perennial gardens with grapes, berries, and fruit trees, along with a greenhouse growing tomatoes and vegetables for guests to enjoy. Just minutes from Sunset Beach, renowned for vibrant sunsets, the property offers afternoon sunshine year-round, perfect for relaxing in the garden with a glass of wine.

Nettles Farm is a haven for cooking, good air, and fresh water. Our eggs make breakfast memorable. Visitors can explore reef net fishing gear and participate in workshops. It’s an ideal place to unwind and indulge in nature’s beauty.

We went out with Riley and trapped, cooked, and ate 11 Dungeness crabs. Incredible.

Getting out on the water to help Riley and Roger set up their Reef Net for the upcoming season was a truly amazing and beautiful opportunity. We loved every minute of our stay because of the generosity and friendship we encountered at the Nettles farm. In addition to the crabs, I think we ate 3 dozen eggs, and many pounds of Nettles farm bacon and coffee. Thank you Riley!

Pleasant laid back atmosphere

Love the fresh eggs and endless supply of tomatoes , deer sighting and most of all loved the host. I have not slept so well in ages ! Thank you, Riley , for salmon eggs - they turned out delicious !

A most welcoming retreat off the beaten path - fabulous farm stay on beautiful Lummi Island

Nettles Farm is an absolute treasure. Its peaceful, rustic setting offers everything you could want to cook and relax. Our dog loved wandering the pastures and exploring nearby Sunset Beach. Unassuming Riley is an extraordinary human with an astonishing range of experiences that could span many lifetimes. He is a most generous host - providing fresh eggs, bacon, smoked salmon and garden vegetables, plus the amazing outings and meals he organized with the other farmhouse guests. We loved it all!

A true coastal, farm escape with the kindest host.

We enjoyed playing around on the farm picking blackberries and finding slugs. We appreciated the tips to secret beaches and preserves along with the sustainable salmon fishing practices. Quickly adapted that slower island pace allowing us to be more present with the ones we love.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed for 2 nights, 3 days. Riley was incredibly hospitable and Stella the pup was very cuddly and sweet. The farm is idyllic and serene. Riley made us feel very welcomed and was always available to help us out. We picked veggies, herbs and some fruit from the farm and made delicious meals in the well stocked kitchen. The nearly 2 hour soak I took in the deep tub was delightful with the barn door open to enjoy the greenery and breeze. The chickens were fun to watch, their eggs delicious!

Lovely cooking retreat

My husband and I were looking forward to a socially distanced holiday with good food, time in nature and space to relax. We absolutely found this at Nettle's Farm. The Farmhouse suite was cozy, had a well appointed kitchen, and beautiful gardens full of fresh vegetables and produce. Riley, the proprietor, was a lovely host; he made sure we had what we needed and was extremely knowledgable about the island and activities we could consider.

Peaceful spot to cook

We spent three nights in the Farmhouse Suite at Nettles and loved every minute of it. The views from Sunset Beach are spectacular, so we spent a fair bit of time there. The hike at Baker Preserve was a highlight of our time on Lummi as well. Mostly, though, we just read books on the porch and took advantage of the kitchen and outdoor grill to make good meals.

Peaceful Island, Wonderful Hospitality

We had a great time relaxing at the farm and on the island. Picking fresh veggies, herbs, and fruit to round out our meals was a luxury. Riley was very hospitable and we learned a lot about the local environment from him.

Chef's Delight

Once again we escaped to Lummi Island and relaxing pleasures offered by Riley's sweet bed and breakfast at Nettle's Farm. This was special--a destination birthday party--for my husband's 70th birthday. The farm did not disappoint. An excellent chef's kitchen complete with pizza oven for our vaxed-only pizza parties with friends. Riley even joined us and shared his special, artisan pizza dough and black garlic sauce. Always great to be at the farm!

Peaceful and comfortable, under generous hospitality!

I loved the lovely and quiet well-stocked house. It was so cool to be able to cook for myself in a nice huge kitchen each day, and walk to the beach and drive around the island. Very happy to have had a sweet dog and chickens on the property to visit with. Such an added gift to get to go see the seaweed farm. Thank you!

Perfect (off the beaten path) getaway for a family of 5

We flew into Seattle and stayed there for a few days and then drive up to Lummi. We desperately needed family vacation and an opportunity to get out of the bay area and get a change of environment for my partner and me and our 3 teenagers. The archipelago is beautiful and Riley did a fantastic job of giving us the info we needed to be prepared for our stay on Lummi Island and keep ourselves entertained for 5 days.

Nettles Farm was a comfortable retreat for our family, a vibrant setting on friendly island!

We felt so relaxed, safe and welcomed everywhere we went. Cooking great food in a gorgeous kitchen (and picking through the garden!) was a huge improvement over tourist-trap dining. The kids played on the beach, we went on a hike... and just played around on the farm and with Stella the dog - we were completely unscheduled for a few days and it was wonderful. Not to mention our extremely helpful host! Thanks for the visit!
