About the home
“Redwood Beach House” is a spacious single-storey home suitable for a large/extended family or two families holidaying together, centrally located in Cowes just a short walk to supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes, and a comfortable walk to the beach. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The central Kitchen/Dining room flows through to the main rear Living Room (with 55" smart TV with Kayo) that provides access to the rear covered deck, as well as the Master bedroom with BIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet). The front separate Lounge (with 65" smart TV with Kayo) has an enclosed wood fire (no kindling or wood provided) and provides a great 2nd option for people to spread out. Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 all have BIR and share access to the main bathroom (with shower over bath), a separate toilet and the fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer).
The NBN connection has been upgraded to provide the best internet speeds with high speed fibre right to the modem in the house.
Outdoor Areas
The rear covered deck (with table & chairs for 10 people plus a gas BBQ) overlooks the fantastic private in-ground solar heated swimming pool (6.0m x 2.55m, 1.3m - 1.6m deep). The large rear yard is fully enclosed (perfect for children) and has a large shed with a table tennis table. The double carport at the front of the home provides parking for 2 cars, with space for another car in the driveway and a boat can be parked next to the driveway.
There is a lockable gate with direct access to Redwood Parklands behind the house.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine with frother, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The house is well airconditioned with new split systems from end to end that ensures the even flow of cool air into each room and throughout. There are 4 split system units dispersed around the house; one in each of the front Lounge Room, rear Living Room, Bedroom 1 and in the hallway outside Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4. There is also a wood fireplace in the Lounge Room (no kindling or wood provided).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 7 beds plus 2 futons, accommodating up to 10 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: Two Long Single beds (which can be converted into a King bed)
Bedroom 3: One set of King Single bunks, and two Single Futons
Bedroom 4: One set of King Single bunks
Please note that if you want the Long Single beds to be converted into a King bed prior to your arrival, we need at least one week's notice before checking in.
Long single mattress dimensions are approximately 92cm x 203cm and converted king bed dimensions are approximately 184cm x 203cm.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
