We had a wonderful time at The Good Life on Ocean. With several families totaling nine guests, the space worked perfectly for us. The location is fantastic—you can walk to Main St., where there are many shops and restaurants. It's also a walkable distance to the carnival grounds (a bit longer, but manageable), and you're very close to Maddox Blvd., which offers even more shops and dining options. The air conditioning worked excellently, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped.
Although it is an older beach home, it was very clean and well-maintained, adding to the charm of our stay.
There are a few minor improvements that would make a significant difference for this rental:
The bunk bed is a basic Ikea model, suitable for very young children. Our 12 and 13-year-olds found it small and uncomfortable, though they made it work. The upstairs room is large, so investing in a more substantial bunk bed would be beneficial. The rest of the beds were very comfortable.
The kitchen was missing some minor essentials that would have been helpful for a week-long stay:
Only one dishcloth was provided; a few more would be very useful.
There were no basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, or oil. Having these basics on hand is usually standard in many rental homes and would enhance the guests' experience.
Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the property. With these small improvements, it could be even better. Thank you for a memorable vacation!
