Great place, exactly as described with a great view of the ocean. Kitchen was quite functional and the induction cooking too was a nice touch. Had one rainy day where we were stuck inside for a fair chunk and would have been nice to have another chair besides the couch but otherwise a great property.

Beautiful weekend getaway on Pender Island

Susan's place is wonderful for a relaxing getaway. It's clean, cozy and well equipped. The location cannot be beat, with views out over the water. It was also super easy to access the ocean down the steps from the garden, which was a real bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Amazing view

I really just wanted to stay in this place our whole time on the island because the view is so wonderful. Such big windows and you can even see from the bedroom (and no one can see in). The bed was comfortable and all was as described.

Both leading to and throughout our stay, the owner went above and beyond when responding to our queries or being proactive with recommendations. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and as described. A pleasant surprise was the layout of the multi-level asian garden overlooking the water. Because it provides for such a peaceful and pleasant setting, a couple of reclining chairs on the lower level next to the tea house would have been a welcome touch, as an alternative to the tall bistro style sitting. That said, with so many coves and beaches to enjoy on Pender, the island does not lack options. We had not quite grasped that the smaller unit we rented was adjacent to the main rental unit in the same property. This certainly was not an issue during our stay. A very positive experience all around, enhanced by a warm and dedicated host. Attached are some of the wildlife and sunrise/sunset as viewed from the garden.
