Arrive at 'The Emily Jane' and you are greeted with modern luxuries and old-world country charm.
This enchanting 1863 cottage, allures nostalgia, love and cosy comforts. Just 30 minutes from Adelaide city, a hidden gem that is yours to discover. The perfect escape close to some of the finest cellar doors and restaurants in this world-renowned wine region and located within a short walk to the Nairne town centre. Switch off, settle in and soak up the surroundings - the idyllic romantic get away!
The space
A beautifully renovated home in the heart of the vibrant Adelaide Hills, lovingly styled with luxury and wellness in mind - The Emily Jane is the perfect couples' retreat to feel inspired, cosy up and reconnect.

Take in the country views from your upstairs master suite balcony; relax with a healing infra-red outdoor sauna experience; enjoy bath soaks under the stars; lazy days in the enchanting garden and ‘happy hours’ in ‘The Snug’.

The expansive master suite offers a king size bed, cloud soft linen, original floating floorboards, french doors opening to your private balcony to enjoy your morning sunrise coffee or a cheeky afternoon beverage, while the local farm animals meander over the rolling country hills. A sanctuary for relaxation, The Emily Jane is perfectly suited for two and also can be enjoyed amongst friends, with the option of an additional queen room upon request, booked for the entirety of the stay.

The Emily Jane also offers a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, two separate living spaces, indoor and outdoor yoga and ‘Zen’ spaces; expansive outdoor entertaining including wood oven pizza and BBQ facilities.

Enjoy garden views from your luxurious soak and the comfort of heated towels as you step out of your deep relaxing 'tub' and into your own personal outdoor full spectrum infra-red sauna.

We encourage our guests to explore the nearby vibrant Adelaide Hills townships of Woodside, Little Hampton, Verdun, Hahndorf, Uraidla, Bridgewater, Aldgate, Stirling and the iconic 'Monarto Zoo' and 'Mighty Murray River' which make for memorable and fun day trips.

Discover heritage buildings, local galleries and sample the best produce from South Australia’s restaurants, cellar doors and cafes.

During the strawberry, cherry and apple picking seasons, guests can ‘pick your own’ from our recommended local producers.

The Adelaide Hills is a perfect location to celebrate your upcoming wedding, family occasion and other special events. The Emily Jane welcomes photo and location opportunities and this can be arranged with your host by prior arrangement.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. We pride ourselves on being considerate and respectful neighbours and we ask our guests to acknowledge the no pets, no parties and no events policy.

2. The Emily Jane accommodates a maximum of 2 people only for the period of your stay (unless requested at time of booking). Strictly no children, parties or mass gatherings are allowed.

2. All outside fires are to be contained within the designated firepit area. Firepits will be removed during bushfire season (Dec-April) or as advised by the local authorities. Strictly no outside fires are permitted during bushfire season.

3. We adore our furry and feathered friends however animals and pets are strictly prohibited on the property.

3. Our accommodation is strictly a non-smoking property. Additional cleaning costs will apply and be charged to the guests account card upon check out.

We had a very relaxing stay at The Emily Jane. The space is clean and luxurious and we love all the amenities provided. Lovely outdoor areas too. Cheryl is hospitable and curated a fine pantry showcasing some fantastic local products. We would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again.

Beautiful, private, relaxing

This is a beautifully styled property that oozes tranquillity and relaxation. The bed was so comfortable, the fires cosy and the bath luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway. All of the extra touches (Jurlique bathroom products, delicious breakfast food etc) really made it special.

Back for the second time - loved it!

Such a beautiful property with everything you need plus lots more. Candles, wood fire, breakfast provisions, luxury bedding and towels and such a lovely outlook onto the back garden. We love it and if the owners will have us, we will keep coming back. A luxury home away from home.

Fantastic Central Location

A wonderful well kept huge property, quirky, fun, spotless, perfect location to explore Adelaide Hill wineries. 1 minute walk to local excellent country pub. A true gem of a property. Lovely included breakfast provisions and bottle of bubbly.

Blown away, an incredible stay

We absolutely loved staying here. Every thing was so well thought out. The property itself is very big, with lots of great hang out places. The infrared sauna and large bath tub were a stand out. Great quality products sprinkled around the house and incredibly yummy local produce provided for breakfast. Will definitely be back!

The owners are obviously kind, thoughtful and generous - we loved the flowers and treats. They have created an exquisite home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the gorgeous town of Nairne. A wonderful alternative to staying in the centre of Adelaide. The whole experience was utterly delightful.

Beautiful cottage but there are stairs!

We loved the cottage which has been lovingly restored and superbly equipped. Great quality throughout. We weren’t aware that the bedrooms are upstairs but the bathroom and toilet are downstairs. We are in our mid-seventies and pretty fit but we did find this challenging particularly at night. Perfect if you haven’t reached the age of mid night visits!

Beautiful, charming, luxurious well thought out cottage! Highly recommend

What a gorgeous cottage,garden and “studio” room at the top of the garden. From the special touches of drinks, cheese etc to the luxurious linens, throws, cushions, Jurlique lotions to the outdoor bath, studio games room with record player and the ‘goodness’ garden filled with all manner of herbs we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan on coming back one day. We felt utterly pampered with a lot of room, the yoga room, the massive indoor bath that when all the candles are lit and the French doors to outside are open feels like such a special treat and lends to complete relaxation. All of the extra special touches left for us were lovely and we had planned on going out for dinner but ended up cooking for ourselves as we just did not want to leave. The cottage was immaculate in cleanliness and every need catered for and having two log fires was an absolute treat. Having travelled extensively throughout the world this host had everything just right and it was good to find such a high quality stay in our own home town. A massive thank you to Cheryl for all her special touches.
