Great location

A great loaction for our family's holiday. We had 4 generations and the one level big home plus short flat walk to the safe-swimming beach suited us perfectly.

Wonderful long weekend stay

We had a great time at this beautiful bach. Spacious, clean, cozy and well stocked with all the essentials. The pool, indoor fire, and outdoor brazier were all highlights, as well as being so close to the beach. Heaps of games to keep us entertained too. Highly recommend!

Great location, plenty of space for the kids. A good, honest kiwi bach - may not be fancy or brand new etc, but was perfect for our family getaway. Super relaxed, and as comfy as a good roast dinner. Thanks

Our family had a wonderful stay at this big comfy bach. Hayden was an excellent host. He was very kind, responsive, and always available to answer questions or help with anything we needed during our stay.The house was spacious and comfortable and easily fit all nine of us. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The pool was beautiful and quickly became one of our favorite parts of the property. We spent a lot of time swimming and enjoying the outdoor space.Another highlight was the location. The beach is incredibly close, just a short walk away, and it’s absolutely beautiful. Being able to go back and forth between the pool and the beach made the stay especially enjoyable.Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Hayden, for a great stay!

Ladies weekend

Perfect location and set up for an amazing, relaxing ladies weekend away from it all. Hayden was super friendly and easy to deal with. The house was massive and had lots of breakaway spaces for our group. We had the perfect weather to enjoy the pool and a short walk to cafes and restaurants. Fabulous!

This house, yard and location is very welcoming, comfortable and well-equipped with everything you could think of to accommodate a comfortable and relaxing long weekend with family and close friends. Relaxing Stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty space for all 12 of us to relax and not get in each others way. The beach is only 5min walk away, and our kids were there everyday. There is plenty family activities provided like, boardgames, toys, books also beach toys. It was very cold, our kids still enjoyed the pool. you do have to time it right with starting the fire and closing the curtains to keep the house warm. So thankful there was plenty of firewood. A Lovley family vacation!

Great for a family trip

We were an extended family with a couple of dogs and small children. The house is a good size and the property is enormous, with plenty of flat lawn for children and dogs to run around - although as noted in listing, the fence does not go fully across the road boundary so they do need to be watched. The kitchen and pantry are big and have plenty of cooking and dining utensils. The dining table would seat 8 comfortably, and I presume they could provide more dining chairs for a larger group than ours. There are heaps of board games and puzzles suitable for older children and some toys for younger children that were much appreciated. Also a big range of books! The big fireplace was very exciting for the children and heated the living rooms well, but the bedrooms were a little chilly overnight (June) and we couldn't find any heaters. Otherwise the bedrooms and bathrooms are good. The beach is very close and there's a park with a fantastic playground not much further along, very easy walking distance. Overall we had a great trip!

Disappointing.

Location great. House old and run down. There are rust holes through all the ranch sliders which someone has plugged with tissues. The lounge carpet (why carpet in a pet friendly rental?) has stains all over it. The lounge suites, couches are chairs are all old ( ok) but appear to never have been cleaned. The vertical blind cord was black with dirt. A day’s hire of a rug doctor (200) would sort the carpet and upholstery, or steam cleaning. Which I would have thought would be regular maintenance in a pet rental. Leather cleaner for the lounge suite. When a bird flew in and pooed on the carpet and I couldn’t find it amid the other stains, i was grossed out. I realised I couldn’t stay here and we packed up and left. The owner disagrees. I was expecting more for 550 per night. This has been a very expensive mistake.It’s not fenced if you bring your dog fyi.

If you are looking for a relaxing family holiday this is a bach that sleeps 12 across 4 bedrooms. The property is a park like 1800m2 with a pool. It is an easy 200m walk to one of Auckland’s very best beaches. The house has a large kitchen, with stone benchtops, and large living areas too. Bring your family, your friends and your dog. It’s within driving distance of the city. But very lazy & pretty tranquil. It’s a comfortable and well worn bach. Not a luxury home. If you are 2 people (mother & son) looking for a 5star hotel then you are in the wrong place.
