The Space:
This six-bedroom Riverside Oasis is fit with everything you need for an impeccable holiday in Barwon Heads. Located right on the Barwon River, you have your own private access ramp into the water just outside the back door.
Soak in the bay view from the upper bedrooms and main living area whilst you sink into the lush couches, including the swivel armchairs which you can choose to face towards the wood fire or the water.
The six bedrooms are split between the two stories, with three on each level of the home, containing eight beds in total, which comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests. The bottom floor contains one single bunk, two king singles and one queen. The top three bedrooms include two queens and one king. All beds are dressed in quality linen with deluxe Sheridan towels supplied.

Just a 10 minute walk to the Frank Ellis Reserve beach and playground or 18 minutes to the main Barwon Heads beach and playground, where there is more fun to be had. A 12 minute walk to the main strip of Hitchcock Avenue, where you can enjoy local produce at café’s & restaurants, as well as, Annie’s Provedore, Confetti Gelato, the local Greengrocer and IGA. Pop into boutique stores along the strip to find beautiful clothes and home goods, such as Kiitos Living and Design, Moss Groto, Tonik Surf Centre and Sorrento Collective. Let’s take a walk around the property together, firstly entering through the shared driveway into your secure parking spots, look around to take in the two-story classic coastal home and substantial block it sits upon. Located right along the Barwon River, pop your canoe down the side of the home to enter the water via your own access ramp by the back door, please note to keep a keen eye on little ones around the water’s edge. Your kids can safely play on the massive 630 square metre grassed backyard which is securely gated off from the river frontage, where they can play a proper cricket match or do as many cartwheels as to takes to get to the end.

Walking by the alfresco and outdoor entertainment area with a Weber BBQ, you enter the front door which has a long hall to the right, stairs to the front and main living area to the left. Going to the left into the kitchen, dining and main living area, you are greeted by stunning views of the river where you can watch boats sail past as you lounge or cook up a storm for the family. The kitchen is equipped with all you need to prepare meals throughout your stay, including appliances such as an electric stove top, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Plus all the cutlery, crockery, utensils, dinnerware and glassware you will need. Ready for you to take a glass of wine to the back patio and soak in the summer breeze. Off the kitchen you have a breakfast bar with four bar stools and a sand-toned round dining table for eight, so each of the 12 guests have somewhere to sit and enjoy a family feast.

Moving across to the living space, which is serviced by a split system air conditioner, wood fire and complete with incredibly comfortable couches and stylish pieces, including a large 3-seater couch, rattan occasional chair and two nautical-striped swivel armchairs. After you watch the sunset along the water, swivel the armchairs back around and light up the wood fire below the Samsung Smart Art TV, which you can log into your streaming services and enjoy your favourite movies and shows. Turn the TV onto Art mode for some ambiance whilst the fire crackles away.

Heading back to the entry, straight forward you have some of the wet areas of the home, being the first bathroom, laundry and separate water closet. The first main bathroom comprises of a shower, vanity and toilet, which services the downstairs three bedrooms. At the opposite side of the stairs sits the laundry which includes a washer, dryer, trough and ironing board, with a clothes line just out the door.

Down the light and art filled hallway you have the three downstairs bedrooms and a retreat living area down the end. Each bedroom has a built-in wardrobe and bedside table with lamp. Bedroom one has a single bunk bed, bedroom two a queen bed and bedroom three, two king single beds.
The rumpus at the end of the hall comprises of a plush sand and white striped couch, another Smart TV, coffee table and occasional chairs, with a view over the backyard. Have a nap out of the sun on the comfy couch, set kids up with their favourite show for some wind down time or have some playtime on the rug. This little retreat is the perfect spot to have some space from the rest of the group and wind down after a day in the sun.

Finally heading up the stairs of the two-story home, you enter the second living quarters which features three bedrooms, second bathroom and a balcony. You can enter the balcony off the landing and main bedroom, soak in the salty sea breeze as you gaze upon the water and keep an eye on the kids in the backyard. To the right of the landing is the second bathroom, also fit with a shower, vanity and toilet.
The three upper bedrooms are complete with quality linen sporting soft coastal tones and spoilt with an incredible view of the river, like you could swim right out of the window. Bedroom four comprises of a queen bed with rattan bedhead and matching bedside tables with lamps and a walk in wardrobe. Bedroom five includes a queen bed, bedside tables with lamps and a built in wardrobe. Last but not least, is the main bedroom (6), the largest room of all with a king bed, elegant bedside tables with lamps, a white dresser and of course those magnificent bay views and access to the balcony. The home takes advantage of the sea breeze, open the windows to have the cool breeze sweep through, working as a natural air conditioner.

Things to note:

Free Wifi is available, however Barwon Heads internet can be a little unreliable in peak times and during unpleasant weather.

There are gates at either side of the home to keep your kids safe in the backyard. However, please to keep a close eye on them around the water’s edge when enjoying the river frontage, and on the upper balcony.

Pets are NOT permitted at this property

Guest Access

You have a shared driveway up to the home with a couple secure car parks off the street and through the front gate. The access is via a key safe at the property, no need to meet anyone for key collection. You will receive check in details 48 hours prior to arrival.

The Neighbourhood

The property is located on Riverside Terrace in the coast side town of Barwon Heads. Just a 10-18 minute walk to the main Barwon Head Beaches, Reserve, Park, Playgrounds and Shops. Grab a bite to eat at local cafés & restaurants, such as Ginger & Blondie, Tommy Gunns and At the Heads. Pick up local produce at Annie’s Provedore & Produce Store, The Greengrocer and local IGA. And Find some beautiful clothes and good’s in Boutiques such as Moss Groto, Kiitos Living by Design, Sorrento Collective, Heads and Tales Bookstore, and Tonik Surf Centre.

Getting Around

We would recommend bringing your own vehicle to explore the Bellarine Peninsula. However, if you’re not bringing your own vehicle there is public transport via the local bus network accessible at the end of the street, about a 2 min walk from the property, where you can catch Route 55 (Geelong Station - Ocean Grove via Barwon Heads). Taxi’s are available in the area, however likely not close by as further from the city.
