The condo had modern updates and was comfortable. The A/C did not work for the first two days, but Southern sent a repair crew after we reported it. There were no sheets for the fold out sleeper sofa. Southern said they were in a red bag in a closet, but we searched all the closets and dresser drawers without success. There was some trash left under the furniture in the living prom when we checked in but we cleaned it up. The kitchen trash can had a broken lid when we got there, but that was no big deal. The condo is nice and I would recommend it.

Not Family friendly

Condo had Active mold in multiple areas of kitchen. Very loud, inappropriate music playing around the unit regularly Very loud, inappropriate music played so loud each night, no one was able to sleep Condo building was under construction, not a safe area for children I do not recommend this condo or area for a family vacation.

Ground floor

I loved being on the ground floor so it was walk out, and over the boardwalk to the beach. I thought we would be able to see the ocean from our patio, but unless you are up on the higher floors, the dunes will prevent that. Ours was just fine for us.

The place appears large on the Vrbo listing than it is. It is away from Everything and I don’t recall seeing that. I prefer to be close to all the restaurants.

Nice stay

4 pm Check-in and 9 am Check-out times aren’t ideal. Location was nice. Condo desperately needs updates. Bathtub didn’t drain well at all so ended up standing in sandy, dirty water while showering. Other than that, stay was nice.

Perfect!

It was our first time to Gulf Shores with our 3 girls! Driving all the way from Iowa! The property was perfect! Clean, easy access to the beach, perfect outdoor pool and the best location!! Not surrounded by chaos but close to everything! Southern Vacation made it super easy to ask questions and get help. This property was perfect for us and I would HIGHLY recommend it to others!! We are already planning our return next year!

Gulf Shores Experience

This was a very pleasant experience the condo was in a great location and very beautiful. There are stores not too far away and there is a restaurant within walking distance.

Sun, beach and pools

My family and I had a wonderful time with our stay here. The pictures are accurate and the place is lovely. It is right next door to the indoor pool/hot tub. The indoor pool also includes a steam room and sauna. The outdoor pools are a wonderful addition with four local ones to choose from (seven outside pools total) in back of the condo. The biggest one is located straight back of the patio. The beach is walking distance past the pools. The only down falls were no washer and dryer as it doesn’t say it includes it, so shouldn’t be expected. Instead it had an extra sink in front of the dinner table. Weird and wish it was a washer and dryer stackable instead. But the beds were so comfortable and the shower pressure was amazing. It’s about 30 minutes to anything lively or shopping areas. We made two days of going out to orange beach area. Enjoyed a dolphins cruise with cold mil fleet and had amazing shakes at the yard milkshake bar. It was a wonderful time and absolutely breathtaking views! I highly recommend this location.

Amazing Get-Away

From the start, our vacation has been exactly what we were waiting for! The pictures on line caught our attention, and when we arrived at our condo; the pictures did not lie. Everything was so nice and clean, and of course the beach is indescribable! We also took advantage of the many swimming pools,which were very well maintained. The only thing that we did not have, was a beach view out our door. Next year we will book early! We will recommend Gulf Shores Plantation to uor family and friends.

First Time In Gulf Shores

This was our first visit to Gulf Shores. We stayed in condo 4111. We were in Fort Morgan. 10 minutes from Walmart and the main drag of Gulf Shoes. Our room was in the first floor, next to the indoor pool. Walk arrows the parking lot to 2 more pools and the beach. I highly recommend if you can bring beach chairs and a umbrella if going to stay on the beach. We went and purchased ours from Walmart. Bring beach towels. The room was big enough for the 4 of us. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. Pizza place right down the street. Try the Oyster House the Hangout Bar, restaurant has live bands everyday/night. Condo 4111 is at the Plantation off the beat in path. I like that for more quite.

Beautiful property!! Great condo and even greater location! Love how it’s away from the main area in Gulf Shores. This place has everything you need. Already planning our second trip back. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Was beautiful and pleasant and relaxing, which we needed. Clean and decorated nice.

Quiet and friendly , meet new couple's , went to a lot of new places. Enjoyed a lot of new restaurants and fishing Caught lots of fish. Got to see friends from here , that are down there Weather was low 70's to high 70's Could not ask for conforable temps

Away from it all but, where you want to be

We had a wonderful time in this resort. There are so many amenities. Loved the boardwalk access to the beach, no stairs, easy to take our wagon and beach supplies. So many pools to choose from. There is a restaurant next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus adult beverages. The condo was nice and as described. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the to-go coffee cups with lids for our morning beach walks. There are plenty of glasses, plates and mugs to go around. It was nice to have HBO for the evenings. The property is very walkable and well landscaped. There are chair and umbrella rentals on the beach if needed. The only negatives I can think of were: there wasn't a light blocking curtain in the front bedroom to block the light from the front walkway. There were no pot holders for taking things out of the oven and a few little throw rugs would have been nice. Easy fixes. Otherwise, we enjoyed the amenities and being away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Just okay

The floor was very very dirty when we arrived. Felt gritty underfoot and the bottoms of our feet got really black walking around barefoot. We saw mop streaks and I think they must’ve mopped using dirty water! The property management did offer to send someone over to clean it but no one had shown up by about 10 am the next day so I texted them not to bother, we had already been to the beach & back and I figured it was going to get sandy anyway. Everything else seemed clean though (toilets, sinks, fridge etc.) The dining room table is very wobbly, needs to have legs tightened or replaced. Location is great, the complex is clean and quiet. Not many dining choices around so make sure to bring provisions or eat all your meals at Sassy Bass. The pools are clean and seem well-maintained which is nice for kids.

Plantation was nice but not happy with rental

The big front burner does not work, the condo was not clean from hair on backsplash in bathrooms , cotton rounds were found by trash can in bathroom, A comb and pills were found on floor in bathroom and I have a 22 month old glad he didn't eat them, the mirrors had fingerprints on them. The condo did not smell clean, and every time you sat on the couch a smell on fecal matter would come from couch. I kept thinking my son had a dirty diaper but it was the couch. All of the curtains and towel holders are not sunk into wood so therefore they fall out of wall. Dining table and coffee table you cannot put weight on because screws are barely holding it together. There is no safety in this rental cause you can't lock the back door. The rod falls no matter what and wakes you up in the middle of the night when it falls. They only furnish two trash bags so we had to go buy some. The microwave has no microwave plate in it so you have to balance food on the spinning part. The toaster oven burns one side of the bread and doesn't even toast the other side so food gets wasted and that happens on both slots of the toaster. I read the reviews and the owners said they would look into some of these problem, they haven't, the place has only gotten worse. Rent was so much money so you think they could go by a new $10 toaster , a microwave plate for $10 and get oven serviced using at least one of there weeks money. We spent half that last year and had a nice two story home. The AC was put on 69, which was the lowest setting, and I was sweating every night. Guest bedroom had no curtains only shades and at night they leave the front lights on to condo and it shines in while you are trying to go to sleep. They definitely need blackout curtains in both rooms. I do not recommend staying in this rental.
