The space
THE PROPERTY:
The cottage is on a stunning and rocky hillside, with stairs from the parking area down to the cottage, and stairs from the cottage down to the dock. The rugged wilderness is beautiful here, and the deck feels like you're up in the trees, with a birds eye view of the lake. Great for bird watching and listening to loon calls!

Seamlessly enjoy the upper deck from the living room, with quick and easy access to the BBQ and outdoor dining table that seats 8, with a stunning view of the lake.

The waterfront is perfect for swimming off the dock and paddle boarding (paddle boards are available for your use!) in summertime. Be sure to bring your water shoes! We have a rocky shoreline and zebra muscles are guests along our waterfront. Weed free - this is an ideal place for swimming! It's also a great spot to bring your fishing rod!

If you love winter, you can come snuggle up during the winter season! Bring your skis, skates, sleds, ice fishing gear, whatever you enjoy!

THE COTTAGE:
This bright, freshly renovated, modern cozy cottage (1000 sq ft in size) is lakeside on Crowe Lake, and you'll get to enjoy comforts like central air heating and air conditioning, heated floors (kitchen and bathroom), and electric fireplace, based on the season you're visiting.

BEDROOMS:
The cottage features 3 cozy bedrooms, ensuring comfortable accommodation for up to 8 guests (6 adults max). There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds in each and a ceiling fan, and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds.

Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with comfortable beds (pillows, comforters and sheets are provided), and storage space for your belongings. The green queen bedroom has a closet and a dresser. The blue queen bedroom has one drawer on each side under the bed, as well as side tables with drawers. The bunk room has space under the beds for storage. All bedrooms have hooks.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of nature and bask in the warm sunlight that fills the rooms, creating a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere.

OUTDOORS:
There is a large deck off the living room with a dinning table for 8 and a BBQ. An outdoor firepit is located down by the water. There are 2 canoes, 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards available for use (life jacket are located in the shed)

LIVING ROOM:
Step into the bright and airy living area, where you'll find a welcoming space to unwind and socialize. The open concept design seamlessly connects the living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen, allowing for seamless interaction among guests. Sink into the plush sofas, curl up with a good book, or gather around the large dining table to enjoy delicious meals and engaging conversations.

Enjoy a 55 inch smart TV, games, and plenty of outlets for charging your devices. Plus, enjoy the bonus room with lots of windows and stunning views, which can be used as a flex space for reading, or working at the desk with our strong WIFI. This bonus room also has space to set up a pack and play, if you're bringing a little one with you! (pack and play not currently included).

DINING:
Both our indoor and outdoor dining tables seat 8 comfortably. We have an IKEA high chair under one of the bunk beds for your little one.

KITCHEN:
A freshly renovated and open concept kitchen is yours to enjoy! While you can definitely order takeout from a local restaurant, you can also enjoy cooking like you would at home.

The kitchen includes: Full size fridge with freezer, mini fridge, oven, stove, microwave, 2 slice toaster, dishwasher, cupboard space for food and snacks, dishes (ceramic and melamine), glassware, mugs and cups, utensils, bake ware and cookie sheets with silicone mats, pots and pans, cooking utensils, spices, oil, reusable food containers, and earl grey tea bags, and more!

BATHROOM:
The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo with great water pressure. There is storage space under the vanity, where you'll also find a hair dryer and extra toilet paper. There's shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as hand soap.

WATER:
Our water intake is from the lake its UV treated and filtered. It's been tested. We offer a water cooler for 18.9 L bottles, please bring your own. They are sold in town at Home Hardware or Valu-Mart (5 min drive).

LOCATION:
The cottage is 2 hours from Toronto, 2.5 hours from Ottawa, and 3+ hours from Niagara.

We're located just outside the town of Marmora on a paved year round road, and while the cottage is lakeside and feels secluded from city life, the small town of Marmora is just a 5 minute drive with access to groceries, LCBO, restaurants, cute shops, a playground and splash pad, walking trails, and loads of activities in the area!


NOTES:
- potential guests must have reviews to be considered, thanks for your understanding
- we currently have 8 muskoka chairs by the water and two little tikes plastic chairs for toddlers
- pillows, comforters , linens and towels are provided
- hand soap and dish soap are provided
- shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided
- water shoes are recommended for swimming, the shoreline is rocky and there are zebra muscles (no weeds! swimming is a dream)
- swimming off the dock is shallow, so no diving
- IKEA high chair available (under the bunk bed)
- the cottage is on a septic system, and water intake is from the lake (we provided a water cooler for drinking water!)
- laundry is available with a washer and dryer and detergent, plus you can line dry outside off the deck!
- we don't have a boat launch, but there is a boat launch just 5 minutes drive from the cottage
- we have security cameras on site (at front entry, outside on the upper deck, outside on the lower deck)
- the walkout basement is not included for guest use (it's for storage and won't be rented)
- the dock will generally be available from the start of May to the start of October (feel free to inquire!)

COTTAGE RULES:
- no parties
- no excessive noise
- life jackets are mandatory for water activities such as paddle boarding and canoeing (there are life jackets available in the shed down by the water, and the paddle boards are beside the shed)
- NO SMOKING (inside, or outside); we understand that some guests may smoke and may be looking for a place to smoke outside, please do so in the driveway and do not litter any cigarette butts on site, please ensure they are properly extinguished and placed in the garbage
- 8 guests max including infants and children, if you're having day guests visit they must be approved in advance
- 6 adult guests max
- Infants are included in the guest count
- no outdoor shoes inside the cottage
- children must be supervised at all times
- No pets on furniture, pets paws are to be wiped when coming in from outside.
