Mid-century ranch house, w/large screened 3-season porch. Negotiable pricing, length of stay (inquire). Located in the Nationally Historic Arboretum.

Open design perfect for socializing, cooking. 6 people max. Fully stocked kitchen with gas stove, bake ware, KitchenAid mixer, microwave, smoothie maker, toaster, plenty of utensils, plates, glassware - everything you need to cook!

HEPA AIR FILTRATION is operated throughout the house for 24hrs between bookings; MERV-13 furnace filter changed every 3 months (user recommendation is one year); I STILL abide by pandemic cleaning protocols.

Less than two miles to grocery, lakes, zoo, Hwys 12/14/18/151; Less than 3miles UW-Madison, Capitol, State St, Alliant Center, St. Mary's and Meriter Hospitals. Bike, run, walk, ski, snowshoe 20 miles of paths.

Porch set up year round; fireplace Nov-April. Laundry service, cleaning available for long-term guests 12+ days.

You just can't beat this location for its convenience and privacy. It's located in the Arboretum - the forest within the city of Madison. There's a lot of wildlife; when you're out for a walk, hike, or bike ride, it's not unusual to see wild turkeys, cranes, and a multitude of birds.

The back porch extends comfort and space during warm or rainy weather, and the gas fireplace adds a cozy accent during colder months.

We have ROKU sticks on both TVs, plus Netflix, Hulu, and Internet access. Sorry, no cable TV, although we do get 24 local channels on living room TV, including an awesome weather channel.

We STRONGLY encourage you to purchase TRIP INSURANCE in case you need to cancel a reservation within the non-refundable time period. Refunds are only provided through VRBO based on the cancellation time frame and policy a guest agrees to upon booking, no matter the circumstance. If you think you may need to cancel within the non-refundable time frame for your reservation, PLEASE PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE.

EVENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED at our home - no retirement parties, no bridal showers, no bachelor/ette parties, no large birthday celebrations, baby showers, etc. If there are more guests or vehicles at our home than the indicated number of guests for the reservation, you will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund Additional guests are allowed, for example, visiting family for the day, etc. just please communicate about it. Thanks!

Guests are provided a supply towels and sheets for up to up to a 4-week stay.
HOW THIS WORKS: Guests place laundry in recycle bags (provided) on front porch, and laundry is picked up and returned clean within 36 hours. Guests DO NOT have direct access to a washer and dryer in the house.

The house was equipped with everything we needed and Nancy was very informative and gave us all the info we needed before we got to the house! Downtown Madison was a quick Uber ride away and we enjoyed all they had to offer.

Great house for relaxing stay

Had a wonderful time and the property managers were very responsive and even suggested a lovely day outing for our stay. The house was clean and elegant and had all the kitchen staples. Excellent location!

Quaint and quiet

We had a lovely stay. Nancy made sure the house was more than comfortable and added sweet touches for us to feel at home. We loved the porch each afternoon. We will definitely be back!

Charming and clean

This property was very clean and exactly what my family and I needed for our visit. Nancy was a great host, very accommodating and generous. Great stay! Lovely home! Very cozy!

Lovely home! Great and quick communication with owner/Nancy. Nancy left us coffee, danish, and fruit with was lovely and appreciated. We had a lovely walk in fresh snow along the nearby lake and Arboretum--just beautiful and very quiet. We would definitely return to this VRBO!

Great Stay

We spent the weekend in Madison for our daughters graduation. This home was great. We only wish the weather was warmer so we could have taken advantage of the screen porch. Nancy was very accommodating and responsive! Location was 8 mins from main campus, and walking distinsce for nice walks in the arboretum! We will stay here again!

Great home for a weekend with friends

The location and size of this property was just right for a weekend getaway with friends. The fully screened back porch was gorgeous on a summer night complete with lightning bugs! The location was great for accessing the arboretum as well as anything you'd want to do in the Madison area. The house was very neat and clean and had everything we needed including some extra treats to welcome us. The host was very communicative and caring! A great place to relax and unwind.

Great stay at this perfect home

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Nancy's home. She was a great host, super responsive, friendly and she even left us coffee, fruit, danish, eggs! So incredibly thoughtful! She even borrowed a rice cooker for us to to use for the weekend! The home is well decorated, super cozy and the kitchen is well stocked. The fireplace was such a nice bonus since we literally sat by the fire every night. The house is so clean and stocked with everything you could need. I highly recommend renting from Nancy. You will love it! We can't wait to be back!

Great kitchen and living room for gathering

My brother, sister-in-law and niece were travelling through Madison for 2 nights. They opted to stay in a nearby hotel. My sons live in Madison. I thought it would be nice to have a gathering spot so that we could have at least one evening meal together in a home setting. The house was perfect with a wrap-around couch, dining table and kitchen counter and nice kitchen. I stayed both nights. One of my sons stayed the 2nd night. Good sleeping. Good gathering. Super clean home and well stocked kitchen

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed thru VRBO- spotlessly clean, kitchen stocked with all the things that you don't think to necessarily bring from condiments to butter/ olive oil and even milk and of course coffee etc- and the host Nancy was ever so kind to leave a Kringle and fresh fruit and yummy chocolates in a candy dish. The bathroom had a good shower with enough pressure to rinse long hair - and good lighting also as well as plenty of room to place toiletries etc. I especially liked the conveniently placed hand/body lotion in the bathroom from TraderJoes- I am going to look for the same product here at my Trader Joes. The screened porch was lovely and a great place to have a relaxing meal- no signs of mosquitoes while we were on the porch- Not all screened porches keep out the little pests- but this one did. The only issue we had was the dog next door barked quite a bit one evening and we move inside- but it did not happen again and the neighborhood was very quiet. The TV was very easy to use- we have had issues at several VRBO properties not being able to get TVs to work- but no problem here and Nancy was kind enough to have it set up to use her Netflix and Hulu accounts for those of us who maybe forget to bring our sign in passwords. The arboretum that surrounds the neighborhood is awesome and be sure to explore- the also have a very nice visitor center on the other side of the arboretum from the house that we visited. I would certainly stay here again if visiting Madison- we wished we could have stayed longer this time.

Home near the Arboretum

The home near the arboretum had everything we wanted and needed for a lovely family get together. The home has a well stocked kitchen and the layout is conducive to family gatherings. The hosts were thoughtful and available if needed. The location was great for walking at the arboretum and for a family mountain bike ride. I’d recommend staying here.

Enoyed the stay

Very nice place and convenient to bike trails, the university, and the arboretum. Communication was excellent - timely responses and answers to questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Weekend

Had a great weekend with friends at this house. It was a short car ride to the stadium and downtown. Everything was very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. Loved hanging out on the back patio!
