The Lakehouse with Hot Tub

The Lakehouse is the perfect place to escape to as a family or group of friends. Located in Vaucluse Drive you are only a five minute walk from town or ten minute walk to the lake. Spend your days exploring all that Taupo has to offer or simply laze around at The Lakehouse soaking your muscles in the spa pool, enjoying a glass of Vino on the sundrenched deck taking in the stunning vistas of Lake Taupo and the snow capped mountains perched in the background. This home is kept warm in winter with a gas fire and heatpump. All bedrooms get soaked in sun, so an afternoon siesta with the sun beaming in on you will be very inviting. With a fully fenced back yard you can relax knowing the kids can’t escape without the need to watch their every move. No hidden costs! The nightly rate includes linen and exit clean.

This spacious, modern home can sleep up to 11 guests. The bedding configuration is 1 x King, 1 x Queen, 1 x Queen, 1 x Bunk (Single & double) and 1 x fold out couch in the lounge. The home has two bathrooms including a bath in the main bathroom.

*Pets* - if you wish to bring a pet, you must discuss this with us prior. There are fees that will apply.

Excellent Accommodation

Fantastic place to stay, really impressive and well kept house with amazing views from the deck. The house had everything we needed for our family stay. Our family particulrarly enjoyed the set up with the kids area in the garage and also the amazing spa pool. We will return to stay there the next time we are planning a visit to Taupo.

Great location and views

This is our 2nd stay at this Bach.The location and views are incredible. The size of the property makes it an ideal family hangout with lots of space for the kids to socialise away from the adults.Since our last stay a couple of years ago, the place is starting to look a bit worn and needs a refresh. The spa pool didn't seem to heat properly, the towel rails didn't work, the shower curtain kept falling off the hook and the internet was very intermittent with the connection to the TV. Overall, great place for a family stay but needs some love to bring it back to a higher standard.

Pleasant stay

Convenient distance from town centre, although there were quite a lot of rules. (No use of the spa pool after 9pm, position of where kitchen utensils needed to be returned to.) We couldn't get the TV to work and the Foosball game apparently didn't work, but the spacious living area was good for a large family.

Lovely house with lovely view

We enjoyed staying here and it was well equipped with everything you need. Very clean and love the playroom in garage. Handy for kids to have their own space especially on wet days. Only negative was not being allowed in the spa after 9pm (although equally I can understand why with certain groups that could be noisy). When your out all day by the time you cook dinner and clean up and see to the kids the window has passed to enjoy a soak. Other than that we loved the house and would stay again .

Spacious and amazing view

Overall a great place for families. A bit disappointed on how dirty the spa was - we could see dirt floating. It’s one of the reasons I picked this house - wanted to soak in the spa! But that only happened on the first night as wouldn’t get back in knowing how dirty it was. Also found a used plaster on the bathroom floor on arrival. Understand it was a busy week and cleaning might have been rushed but maybe consider moving check in time a bit later on busy weeks

Amazing holiday whare!!

Our Whanau had an amazing time in this beautiful holiday Whare. The view was awesome the children enjoyed the spa! Beds very comfortable plenty towels Very spacious & homely. Not far from shops heaps of holiday fun activities nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely book this whare again!!! Berryman Whanau👍🏻😃

Well worth the money

Fantastic place to stay

Three families - mums and kids on a school holiday get together. This was a very well equipped, clean, and secure property. A bonus was the spa pool. Lovely linen, bath towels and it was so great to have plenty of extra towels for the spa included . Great location and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended.

The property was beautiful

The property was beautiful. However, their is no spa at the property(the entire reason we had booked for this trip). The 5min walk to town was not an appropriate estimate as it would take at least half an hour and not an easy walk at that. Lightbulbs above the ensuite and main bthrm mirrors did not work.. We phd the number given and was told the spa hadnt arrived. Asked for a discount but we were refused. only 2 makeup cloths for 8 ladies. Totally gorgeous homethough, was unfortunately let down
