Chez Claire: Your Quadra Island Retreat

After a long day of exploring the island come back to Chez Claire and relax in our spacious private guest suite. The suite is located on the second floor of our home. Amenities include: THREE rooms: a separate bedroom with a queen bed and air conditioning: a full bathroom; AND a separate sitting room with Wi-Fi, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, ice, dishes and DVD player. Healthy breakfast items can be found in your refrigerator. However, there is NO kitchen. This accommodation is not a separate cottage but there is plenty of privacy. There are two private decks - one sunny, one shady. Guests can fill their water bottles or wash their dishes in the outdoor sink on the back deck. Over 650 square feet of indoor and covered outdoor spaces. Five acres of walking trails. PRIVATE ENTRANCE. Must be able to climb the stairs. Adult oriented. Sorry no pets. This is a scent free premises. Located at 240 Irene Road off Lighthouse Road at the south end of Quadra Island - a 10 minute drive from the Q Cove ferry terminal.

Great stay

It was a great location and property close to everything on the southern end of Quadra, with really cool walking trails on the property, and great communication from Claire.

This was an excellent place to stay. I could not have made a better choice. Clair was an amazing host. The breakfast items were replenished immediately. Her home baking was delicious and plentiful. I would recommend Chez Clair to anyone. I can't say enough about this wonderful gem tucked away in a forest!!

Peaceful retreat with delicious breakfast spread

Chez Claire is a little slice of paradise where you can sit on the balcony, sipping your coffee or wine and watch the hummingbirds, deer or other wildlife in the yard. The bed is very comfortable, the trails around the property are eclectic and fun to explore and Claire even went the extra mile and provided us with breakfast for our dietary needs which was completely unexpected. We hope to be back sometime and highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

I had weekend getaway here and it was one of the best I have ever experienced. The breakfast provided was so lovely. There are a lot of games and movie options in the cabin as well. We also made some campfire s’mores outside. It was such a lovely stay. I definitely recommend and will hopefully be coming back!

Wonderful private suite

The suite is very large with many amenities. there was a lot of wonderful food in the fridge for us. Claire’s granola is amazing. We really enjoyed hiking on the beautiful property. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stay - quiet, clean, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, and super helpful host. We did not use the TV. Less than 10 minutes from the ferry. Close to the lighthouse park. Would definitely come again.

Great place to be in nature & feel at home

We enjoyed our stay in Claire’s place; it is spacious and welcoming. Claire was a perfect host. The fridge was filled with bagels, cream cheese , something my husband called focaccia & even blueberry crumble . Claire also advised us about the best places to canoe..

Quiet woodland retreat

A little home away from home. It was so lovely to have the quiet, away from the buzz of the perhaps more popular waterfront areas. I enjoyed sipping coffee on the patio in the morning, listening to the birds. Claire had the fridge very stocked with fruit, snacks,and breakfast items. She even made is scones for the second day!! I would definitely go back

Sweet Little Oasis on Quadra

Claire and Dan went the extra mile to help us enjoy our stay, including driving us to a hiking trailhead and showing us the extensive network of meticulously maintained trails on the property. Breakfast supplied included fresh fruits from their garden. Quaint and beautiful all across the board. Too many cool memories to note! We would love to come back. Thank you Claire and Dan…we hope to be as cool as you some day!

Fantastic property

I thoroughly enjoyed my few days at Chez Claire. I was looking for quiet and solitude and that was delivered!! I was looking for a place to do some sight seeing and work-away-from-home. Beautiful place, and the hosts were very respectful. They were prompt with answering questions and even had a few extra treats for me while I was working. I was able to do some calls so the setup for work was excellent. I often find that mattresses are an issue when I stay at places like this, and there was definitely NO issue with this mattress or sleeping arrangement! Thanks, Claire, for being a lovely host with a lovely place!
