Great place, very spacious, nice pool

We stayed here for a bachelor party with 8 guys and it was great! There are a ton of beds available, mugs and plates as needed, and just a ton of space!

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to provide some context regarding your stay and the concerns you raised.This issue had already been addressed, and a refund was issued through Evolve as a courtesy. You checked in on Wednesday, and your concern involved the AC unit servicing the kitchen and master bedroom, which unfortunately stopped working Thursday morning. While this was an unexpected issue, we responded promptly:The master bedroom already had a backup window unit, so it remained comfortable.We provided a large floor fan for the kitchen while awaiting a portable window unit, which was installed on Saturday afternoon.The rest of the house remained cool, as it is served by a second central AC unit.Every room also has ceiling fans, which help maintain airflow during this time.We did everything possible to manage the situation promptly, especially considering it occurred over a weekend and required parts. Despite these efforts, we understand the inconvenience and offered a 10% refund, which unfortunately was not accepted.Additionally, it's important to note that your guest count exceeded what was listed in your reservation, and you mentioned plans for a birthday gathering, even though parties are not permitted at the property. These rules are in place to maintain the comfort and security of all guests and neighbors.We always strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-managed experience for our guests, and we regret that your stay did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to improve where we can."

Over all okay

Walking in the door there is a very strong smell of moth balls. It’s very overwhelming. The bedroom by the laundry smelled even stronger. Ac worked great tho. However we had quite a few cockroach’s within the house. But nothing too major. I think just the smell was too much. Lots of dust on the furniture. Definitely an older home but still nice. Loved the pool. Even left floaties for the next guest to enjoy. Beach towels would have been nice to have.

Amazing but hot lol.

The property is beautiful and the location is perfect. The only issue was the downstairs remained hot during our entire visit. Ac wasn't working strong enough. Never cooled down. Everything else was amazing. Slightly rusty with a few covwebs. And bring flying insect spray. Wasp nest are everywhere.

Pros: pool was great, communication with property manager was quick and easy. Wifi was easy to connect to. Beds were clean. Checkout was easy enough. Cons: the dishes in the cupboard were dirty, with food still present on them, on multiple diahes so we had to clean everything before using. There was literal trash in the drawers in one of the rooms, presumably from previous tenants. The floors are uneven, including on the outside balcony, so that felt unsafe and unusable. No real closets to use except for in one room, which was weird. All the other closets were locked. A huge cockroach skittered out of the laundry room and the clothes iron had some weird residue on it and needs to be replaced. Summary: would not stay here again.

The homeowner would like to address the concerns you raised:- The home had been treated by a pest control company shortly before your stay.- We’ve spoken with our housekeeping team to ensure that dishes are more thoroughly checked moving forward. We're also evaluating whether the dishwasher detergent may be contributing to the issue.- The walk-in closets are locked for owner use, but each bedroom has dressers, a wardrobe with hanging space, and a hanging rack in the main bedroom.- We weren’t able to find any trash in the drawers after your departure, only an extra set of linens, unless your group removed it before checkout.Thank you for sharing your experience. My experience was one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed in. This place was dirty, sheets were not clean, no hot water. Constant noise fixing issues after normal working day hours. This was not the lovely relaxing stay I imagined and the host was aware of everything. Even on my last night someone was outside the house jet washing the drive until 20:50 pm. Not good when you have advised the owner you are working from 2/4am each day

The storm-related power interruptions may have affected its heating cycle. - We understand that ongoing repairs from a storm-related water leak disrupted your stay, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. I am never one to complain but this stay was a different one! A couple positive things I will say about this house is number 1 is the neighbor hood it is in is very safe feeling and number 2 there is plenty of space in the house! There are several things though that were not great about the stay! In the main bathroom there was never hot water! I took a cold bath every night! The dishes in the kitchen were not clean! There was one thing that absolutely bothered me about this stay and that was the fact I came back to the house one afternoon to the owner of the house being in there! Yes she was there to set trash cans out but I do not agree with her actually being in the house while we have it rented! Also I never got check in instructions or check out instructions!

We stopped by briefly, after knocking, to take out the trash bins ahead of pick-up day and didn’t intend to intrude. It's important to note we only accessed the garage.- The hot water heater is a 100-gallon tank, and with multiple guests using the showers and soaking tub, it can take some time to refill. We’ll continue monitoring it to make sure it’s meeting guests’ needs.- We’ve reminded our cleaning team to double-check all dishes, as we’ve noticed that the dishwasher sometimes leaves behind food residue.- We include check-in and check-out instructions in the welcome book at the home, but we’ll take another look to ensure the information is easy to find and follow.Thanks for taking the time to leave your review.

Grandmother’s House

I booked this property for my son’s wedding weekend. The first night he stayed with two of his groomsmen. Accommodations were not his focus and I didn’t ask him about it on his wedding day. The second night, my mother and aunties were supposed to stay. After entering the property, the damp moldy order was overwhelming. There was a lot of “grandmother” dusty clutter/trinkets, dust bunnies and the bathroom rugs that were worn. We did take pictures. There was also a sign saying not to put toilet paper in one of the toilets. That eliminates the full use of one bathroom. I discussed this with Georgie and was told it meant no wipes or feminine products. But that’s not what the sign stated. I have pictures of the sign. It also felt like we were being watched because some lights were motion sensitive. We ended up driving back to Flower Mound because the elders found this house creepy. This place needs a decluttering and modernization.

We regret any confusion and will revise the wording for better clarity. - Security footage confirmed a significantly higher number of guests arrived than indicated in the reservation. All beds were used the first night, which raises questions about the reported guest count and how the property was being utilized. - The home’s vintage style and decor are accurately reflected in the listing photos. Needs some help

This property has so much potential! The owner is so understanding and quick to respond to the issues. Pros- The pool is really nice (not heated so a little cool this time of year). The house was clean and spacious.Cons- Our first day the septic backed up and caused two toilets and a shower to overflow causing a flood in both bathrooms, hallway, and a bedroom. We used every towel in the house to get it cleaned up. Owner was notified immediately and she sent the house cleaner and a plumber. House cleaner started the washer which had about 25 towels in it and left. It immediately started flooding the bathrooms again. Plumber showed up worked on it for about 2 hours, left saying it was fixed. The next morning it flooded the bathrooms again and started to smell really bad. We decided to just use the two bathrooms on the other side of the house and not let let this ruin our vacation. During our 4 night stay the air never kicked on. We tried adjusting and even contacted the owner who said she would adjust from her phone. Still no AC. During the day the house would get up in the high 70’s (76-79). We spent our days either in the pool or out doing something so we also decided not to allow this to ruin our trip, however no AC is unacceptable! The kitchen was extremely unorganized and there wasn’t much to use when cooking.One room had no pillows on the bed, so we had to use the extremely flat Sham pillows. I do hope the owner gets these issues fixed, as this is a great propeety.

Hi Jennifer, we’re glad you enjoyed the pool, found the home clean and spacious, and felt well cared for by the owner. We also take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:– We responded right away when the septic issue was reported and sent a plumber who tested all bathrooms and confirmed everything was working. Unfortunately, this system has had challenges due to a buildup of items that don’t break down easily. While we can't say exactly what caused the issue during your stay, we’re taking proactive steps, including a planned pipe realignment, to help prevent future backups.– Our central A/C is a brand new 4-ton system with a smart thermostat that shifts into vacation mode when no motion is detected in the home. This may have delayed cooling when you returned from being out. We’re working with our security company to disable this feature so guests have more reliable temperature control. In the meantime, we also offer ceiling fans in all rooms and have standing fans available to help guests stay comfortable.– We’ve replaced the pillows with newer, thicker ones and removed any that didn’t meet our standards. As for the kitchen, we’re unsure what was missing or disorganized. We looked into this, and it includes several cutting boards, a rice cooker, a slow cooker, a toaster, an air fryer, a Ninja blender, and more. We’ll continue keeping an eye on inventory between stays to make sure everything is stocked and ready for guests.
