I've been renting various places in Chase's Ocean Grove for 30 years, it's my happy place. This property had great pictures but didn't find it worth the premiums. At 500 dollars a night, I'd expect a mattress with functional springs but it wasn't found here. I contacted the manager and they said it was replaced 2 years ago. Feels like they really must have cheaped out if that is the case. Multiple reviews mentioned the poor mattresses, wish I would have listened. I'd consider staying again if they make some changes otherwise stay at another property in the same complex for 150 cheaper per night or so

Magical beach cottage

The cottage is adorable and very clean. We were so close to the water we slept with the windows open every night! We loved the location on the island,short drive to everywhere!

The location was great and cottage was perfect. Only negative was that the beds were very uncomfortable. The couch was also uncomfortable and an ottoman would have been nice. Not many tv stations and really should have NESN available for Red Sox games since many of the guests must be fans. We would rent again if the beds are replaced.

Getaway

The property is Beautiful and such a short walk to private beach! The outdoor shower is Amazing! Nice private cottage and close to great food! Only issue we had was mattress needs updating. We totally enjoyed the space and also took advantage of the bike trails nearby. Neighbors were very friendly!

The cottage is a charming little Cape Cod getaway that’s clean, well-maintained, and has all the essentials for a beach vacation. The outdoor shower was one of our favorite features—it has excellent water pressure and is perfect after a day at the beach.For a weekend stay, it’s a great choice. However, I think a full week would start to feel a bit cramped. The mattresses were clean and perfectly acceptable, though they weren’t especially comfortable or luxurious.The biggest drawback is the air conditioning. The cottage relies on a single portable unit in the main living area. You can aim it toward either the living room/kitchen or the bedrooms, but it isn’t powerful enough to cool the bedrooms effectively. I ended up moving one of the small bedroom turbo fans and setting it on top of a cooler in front of the AC unit to help circulate cool air into the bedrooms. That made sleeping comfortable enough, but ideally each bedroom would have its own wall-mounted air conditioner.For some guests, the cooling situation could be a dealbreaker. For me, though, it was part of the nostalgic Cape Cod experience—it reminded me of the simple beach cottages I stayed in during summers as a kid. As long as you go in with the right expectations, it’s a cozy, enjoyable place to stay.
