Welcome to A Little Sandy Cottage! Newly constructed in 2024 with a family friendly design.

Located in coveted Darnley Beach PEI, with the best beach access on the North Shore.

Our light and bright oasis from busy life. Relax by walking to the beach and experiencing PEI's natural beauty. Rest on the deck or in our hot tub.

Three bedrooms 2 full bathrooms, air-conditioning, full kitchen, dishwasher, 50 inch smart tv for sign in, and a washer dryer laundry.

Located near the town of Kensington, and a short drive to all the amenities of Cavendish. Enjoy world class golf, stunning seaside vistas, restaurants and fun attractions within scenic driving distance.

Beach access is a short walk from the cottage. Our quiet self contained property is nestled in a family friendly community, chosen for it's relaxed atmosphere.

Our beach location is also ideal for evening bonfires, stargazing and memorable walks.

To ensure a restful vacation we have provided comfortable foam mattresses, soft towels, cozy quilts and deep seated deck chairs. This property is also easy ground level access to support mobility needs. Please note we are not wheelchair accessible.

Close to fresh seafood, delicious bakeries and live music. We think you will love Little Sandy as much as we do.

Our stay at A Little Sandy Cottage was simply magical. After our first steps inside this beautiful spacious coastal themed new build cottage, we knew we found our home away from home! Every inch was thouroughly thought out, from the open concept kitchen/living room, to the super comfy beds and fluffy towels. An outdoor shower awaited us to wash off PEI’s famous red sand (from our days at the beach which is only minutes away). We were supplied with gorgeous large beach towels and beach chairs. It was beyond convenient not to have to pack these and take up space. Everything you need is provided, and the hot tub is a relaxation must! We were even surprised with local treats upon our arrival from our hosts. You are located in your own private slice of heaven, but a close drive to all local attractions, such as Cavendish, Anne of Green Gables Museum, Brakley Beach Drive-In, Kensington and so much more. All I can say is Little Sandy is PEI perfection if you are looking for ample room for a family, a group of 7, or a quiet getaway for two. Thank you to the best hosts on the island! Absolutely exceptional accommodations in the heart of PEI. Everything was so well thought out in the home and just a small walk to the beach. Take the time and check it out, this is an incredible place to stay!!!

Spectacular. Cottage was just as presented and proximity to beach was wonderful. We enjoyed visiting in the area with plenty to do. Great clean hot tub to relax after a vigorous day enjoying the countryside. Did get to see some colorful leaf changes.

This was a lovely property, well deserving of 5 star rating. Location was great as it was midway between Cavendish and Summerside, lots to do in the area. Very well stocked and the hot tub was an awesome touch! We travelled with 4 adults and 1 child, Lindsay has thought of everything, right down to the beach chairs to use at a beautiful beach close by. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

This is a wonderful cottage. New, clean, well laid out and maintained. We were 5 adults and never felt on top of one another. Great amenities (hot tub, bbq, beach chairs, etc). It's a great location, a beautiful part of the island.

Five stars isn’t enough! Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood close to the most beautiful beach in PEI. Cottage was beautiful, super clean and with all the amenities we could have wanted. And our host was lovely and very helpful and responsive. We hope to return again soon!

Little sandy cottage was the most perfect place for my group to stay during cavendish. We had a group of 6 people, and all had more than enough space to move around and sleep comfortably. Sean and Lindsay were super helpful and would respond right away when I had a question. The hot tub is a lovely addition especially on the chillier nights by the ocean. Amazing place to spend time and explore the island!

Outstanding

The cottage is brand new, immaculate and wonderful. The local beach is just a few minutes walk. The hot tub was so relaxing. The furnishings and bedding are very comfortable. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Definitely one of the finest places that we’ve stayed

A perfect getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Little Sandy! The place was absolutely lovely! It was perfect with a short 5 min walk to a private beach where we enjoyed morning and evening beach time. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage by the sea. The home was immaculately clean and well laid out for a quiet and relaxing stay. Good or bad, I never leave reviews as I don't want to be the one to unintentionally mislead a vacationer however I felt this property and owner deserved one. We have rented many VRBOs in the past and this is the only time that the description and condition of the property is exactly as promised! The house was immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and fully stocked & organized. From the moment we stepped in until leaving, we felt comfortable. The hot tub was clean and we used it twice a day. The beach was stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer. Lindsay was a great host and communicated immediately. We very much appreciated the fresh cinnamon buns and coffee....nice touch!

Amazing week

Great short walk to a sandy beach that was perfect for the kids (7yrs) to swim, play and make castles. Was able to have a beach bonfire in the last night which the kids thought was just the best. Enough to do around (30mins drive) for a week of entertainment (water park, amusement park, butterfly garden, etc) that was a change from the beach when needed. The house is divided into two sides for sleeping which was great to have one side for the kids. The hosts were super responsive and the property was pristine.

After years of coming to this area, we started our dream of building Sandy four years ago. Our lovely little slice of heaven was built for families to enjoy time in what we feel is one of PEIs premiere locations, with amenities that are easily accessed. Our beach is considered a gem! We also designed our space to be accessible for those with mobility concerns (not wheelchair accessible) such as seniors. One level access to the cottage makes it easier for families to enjoy the area, beach and visit the North Shore attractions.
