A charming older facility. Charging devices was a bit of a challenge, and the lighting was minimal for reading or similar activities. We were very happy with our room (but beware the sofa bed. You may be better off with the mattress on the floor).

Elevator was broken . Making it hard traveling to and from the 4th floor. The bartender at “the bar” was rarely even there. The coffee is very generic and the smell inside was unpleasant

Everything's Up-to-Date In Kansas City

This is a "historic" property, where the doors milk delivery to the apartment remain, but you wonder if the central air delivery to our room dates back to this time as well--don't pick this location when temperatures exceed 85 degrees. We also chose this facility as valet oarking was offered--but now, they offer a "modern" cell phone payment, complicating what used to be a fairly straightforward process of tickets and cash tips. Hint--don't tip until you see the price of the valet parking, then tell the attendant they "can take the rest of the day off."

The dining room was closed and will remain closed. Breakfast was served in the lobby. We paid in advance for breakfast, but only ordered it once as it was not good. The toilet in our room ran on and off the whole time we were there. No-one came to fix it although we reported it several times. The furniture around the fire pit was filthy. The location was decent, as we could walk to the Plaza.

Everything was fine but for the price it was a little outdated. I was also disappointed because I paid for breakfast via Expedia and the hotel server waited until after I ordered breakfast to tell me that they didn’t honor the breakfast tickets that I purchased. I even asked the sever prior to ordering, letting her know that I purchase breakfast with my reservation. When she handed me the bill for breakfast, with the meals included in the invoice , I once again said, “I paid for this online during booking.” She took the invoice to the check in counter, came back, and lied to me, and said that the discount was applied. I just got my bill and I was charged for the $30 for breakfast from Expedia and a $30 charge from the hotel for breakfast. What I can gather from this experience is the daytime lady taking your order is not honest, and will do what it takes to make a sale. I regret tipping her.

High Crime area no security available and several cars vandalized while we were on property. The hotel charges to park and says park at own risk but there is not secure alternative.

The room was dark and mostly windowless. The furniture was stained. This property definitely needs updating and refreshing. We were surprised that a Marriott would be in such poor shape.

We like this hotel

We've stayed here a couple of times before. It is in a great location and easy to get to. This is an old, maybe historic building and the rooms are nice. However, some of the furniture needs to be updated. Some of the room layouts are a little different but they are comfirtable. It's in the Passeo district so there are a lot of shops and good food places and some cool parks in the area. Rooms dont have much if any street noise. Well stay there afain next time we are in KC. The staff was great.

Great stay! comfy

Our stay was great. We would stay again. Everything was clean. Beds were good. Hot showers! The only issue we had was with the pull out bed/couch in the room. My son said it was the worst he slept on, so don't know if it just needs to be replaced or maybe add anther layer for the bed in the room.

Great location but property was old, carpet was gross, didn’t want to take off my shoes. Pull out couch was gross, layered towels for my son to sleep on. Over all needs room updates but location is great.
