Unique stay with a nice location near Old Town

Good stay overall. I would consider staying again now that I know what to expect. Good: The bed and bathroom were perfectly clean. There was great water pressure and the hot water was actually hot. My wife appreciated having asking to the coffee machine in the foyer. The bed itself was also super comfortable. Bad: The room is a little small, no view from our unit and very bright in the morning — really recommend bringing an eye mask. There is also a very bright thermostat that lights up the room at night. The bedsheets are also strongly scented from a laundry detergent of some kind. I would’ve appreciated a nightstand on both sides of the bed but there is power available in floor outlets which made up for it. Overall, this pseudo-hotel is no frills and got the job done. I would stay again under the right circumstances, like another work trip or one where I knew I only needed a place to sleep.

Ich kontaktierte die Unterkunft über 24h vorher wie der Check-In verlaufen würde und bekam keine Antwort. Kommuniktion NULL. Check-In: Man bekommt am Tag vom Check-In eine SMS (Account Telefonummer!) mit einem Link zum Check-In. Danach bekommt man 15:45 den Tür-Code zum öffnen der Unterkunft. Leider fehlt diese Beschreibung zum Check-In!!! Wenn das nicht gewesen wäre hätte ich der Unterkunft eine glatte 10 gegeben

What didn’t I love about the Flats? Besides the aesthetic, cleanliness, the water pressure in the shower, the magnificently comfortable King bed with cloud like sheets, the cold bottled water in the fridge, the selection of teas and coffees, timely communication, and easy check in/out, it might be safe, easy street parking or the beautiful building on a tree lined street and 1 block walk to a beautiful coffee shop and grocery store. There’s so much to love! This will be my go to every time I’m in Ft Collins. Just book it!

Light sleepers stay away.

Place was well finished but it is ground floor on a very busy road. I am not that light of a sleeper but it was a struggle to sleep here. The guests in the floor over me were heavy footed and all the sound came through . And I found it disgusting that they do not put the comforter in a cover - they put the cover on the bed, but not on the comforter, so you are sleeping with something that never gets washed.

Cute and clean. Comfy bed/bedding. Charming older building with updates. Loved the brass fixtures. Walkable to many Foco restaurants and attractions. AC kept the room super cool.

The property only has on the street parking that is limited in time. You need to move your car if you want to stay more than one night. The property was walking distance to old town and we liked that.

Centrally located and close to Old Town. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Very grateful the room has AC, since it was over 100F while we there. Will definitely be staying again next time we are in Fort Collins.

Nice enough, but not sure I would recommend.

Quaint old building in a good location. Not exactly in the heart of things, but still walkable. Street parking only, and you have to pay attention to the time, so you can't leave your car on the street all day. The other option is the Target parking lot 2 blocks away. Our room was on the second floor, which could be a challenge for anyone who has trouble with stairs. It's a fairly steep, narrow staircase to carry luggage up and down. The room was nice and comfortable, but not particularly quiet. Old windows, noisy A/C unit. There is a refrigerator/wine cooler in the room, stocked with water and coffee creamer, and a counter with a sink, but the coffee is a common Keurig unit downstairs. It would be much nicer if there were a small one in the room itself, rather than having to go down and stand in the small foyer to make coffee.

Cute and cozy, but lack of communication

The room was very nice and cozy, however communication was lacking. I asked if it would be possible to check in at 3 instead of 4. We had dinner plans, and wanted to drop our stuff off ahead of time. I was told they would put in the request, and then nothing. I sent a message asking again, but was ignored. We ended up not being able to check in until 4 which was ignoring. I personally feel that 4 is a little bit late to check in. Would checking in an hour early really hurt? We sat outside in the little court yard for 45 min until we got our code to get inside. Changed our plan for dinner so that we would make it on time.

This our second time staying at The Flats and this time don’t disappoint. It’s very close to CSU campus and in a safe area. You have to park on the street (or at Target up the street), but we have never had a problem finding a spot. Easy check-in and great communications with the hosts. We will always try and book one of these places whenever we’re in town.

We had a good stay at The Flats. The room was clean and comfortable. Everything was in working order. Upscale bed and sheets. The bathroom was very nicely updated. Great location, you can walk to old town and all the restaurants. Parking was easy, although it was the weekend and you have more options. Our room looked out to the main road in front and we did hear the cars going by. Check in is all done on line and there were no issues. We would stay again.
