Worst Place to stay in Goa with family

I had a bad experience staying in this hotel (Villa). Very remote location, no one to help in the hotel, breakfast was very bad - awful. WiFi did not work. Hot water was an issue. The owner did not have a bill to provide. The worst place I have stayed with family. I dont recommend anybody to have this experience. We paid almost Rs 3500 per night in Off Season and we got this! Nobody from my family is happy about it. We got fooled by seeing the pictures on the internet. What a shame.

Fantastic place :-)

A's Holiday Beach Resort is really fantastic. We came early in the morning, and asked if possible to just leave luggage, but were met with a kindness seldom seen. We were allowed to step in right away, and the owner arranged breakfast. The staff are really kind, and were able to help with any question, that includes renting bikes, arrange taxidrive, flight connect etc. We had to leave at 6pm, and again the staff let us stay as long we needed. In walking distance, you find a fantastic beach. We used quite a lot time at Alex Place, and here the staff also were kind and helpfull. I would have liked to give more stars, but only 5 available :-)

Clean and good hotel

Very nice place, you can feel the indian way of living with several different people helping out with what's necessary in the Indian life. Nice small pool and the villa was perfect for 4 people an possible for one extra. We stayed here for one week and never had 2 days that were the same, it was easy to find different places to swim and relax and also finding adventures.

Excellent resort

Very comfortable. Serene and calm place. Would definitely recommend to all who are looking for a great stay. Staff are very helpful and the owner is very courteous and made sure that we had a very comfortable stay

Rude Owner

, there was no reception.. The the owner come on a cell phone and tell us that because our room wasn't ready, we would be upgraded to a bigger room for the night, we could stay there for an additional $12 a night. Later that evening, the owner finally made an appearance and was upset about the air conditioning. We were never told how to use them. So the owner was accusing me of trying to break his air conditioner before I was even told how to use it. He then showed us a list of rules for the hotel and pointed out the first rule about the air conditioning... I read it and agreed. After a couple days in a row of getting burned in the shower because of a broken water pipe, I told the owner about the problem with the shower along with other minor things that were broken. He quickly blew into a furry and started blaming me for breaking the things I had pointed out. He was raising his voice right next to my 7 year old as I was trying to cook. She and I both became scared. This could have been avoided if there was a proper reception area and rules that were clearly written out. But a business owner should not raise his voice around women and children and engage in arguments that make the child cry and both of us very uncomfortable.

Vorsicht!

VORSICHT. Ich habe das A's Beach Resort gebucht. Aber wenn man dort ein Appartment bucht, dann landet man in A's Beach Retreat. A's Beach Retreat ist ein 5 oder 6 stoeckiges Haus und hat mit den Bildern die man so sieht nichts zu tun. Wenn man zum Strand will muss man entweder 25 Minuten gehen oder eine Abkuerzung nehmen durch einen Wald der sicher wem anderen gehoert. Ich bin dort in der Nacht in ein Loch gefallen. Das Wort Resort ist wohl ein Witz vom Eigentuemer. Es gibt nicht einmal eine Rezeption. Als ich ankam hat mich der Sicherheits-Hansel empfangen und dann seinen Chef angerufen. Ankommen war auch schwierig weil die Taxifahrer das Teil nicht kennen. Eventuell ist der andere Teil mit den Bungalows ganz nett. Der Appartment Teil ist jedenfalls ein Witz. Es gibt ein REstaurant in Gehweite. Fuer alles andere braucht man ein Taxi.

Found As very good place to relax near to beach nice walk to a couple of restaurants staff very helpfull Singh the chef was ace cooked breakfasts to die for especially the dozas would recomend

Fantastic hotel, walkable to beach and restaurants

We had excellent stay with our 8 and 3 year old kids. Aagi is an excellent host, and took care of our daily plans by arranging taxis at good rates. The resort is nicely located with walkable (~10 mins) access to beach and nice restaurants. The sunset beach is awesome, with clean sand and very few people, compared to North Goa beaches which are crowded with people. The water is clean, and we can go quite inside the sea, as shore is shallow. Good thing is it had life guards, even though we had only handful of people. It is one of our best and memorable vacation, and we will stay here when we visit Goa again. The room service was nice, and maid made us nice breakfast in our apartment itself. Finally, when our flight got delayed, Aagi gracefully extended our checkout time.

Facilities are good but owner not professional

1. The owner has refused to give accommodation because the booking is done for one day, even we had shared the confirmation mail. 2. They don't know how to deal with customer and how to speak to customers. Used language which has no room in this business. 3. Facilities are very good but they spoiled our mood before entering to the hotel. Basically they spoiled our day. 4. We have wasted one hour for settling this which we could have spend on the beach in the evening. 5. We go out for holiday to get rid of all kind of stress and enjoy but we had very bad experience, we were forced to argue with hotel staff for an hour before check in. 6. Overall it was a bad experience to my family.

Great loaction , right on the beach

The swimming pool was the highlight of stay. Beach a 2 minute walk from the villa.Good food and excellent service at the Tentacao restaurant. Mickys place is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Overall a pleasant stay . The Umbrella provided in the room were broken . On asking for same , they didnt have any. Wifi is at a snails pace. Painfully slow.

Not satisfied for the price

While all the basic necessities were present, I have to admit being a little disappointed for what we received for the money we paid. We saw live cockroaches, had to move from one property to another because of a water leak (in the monsoon season), and the new property we arrived in smelled moldy like it had been shuttered for a long time. Overall, I would not recommend this location for anyone but budget travelers.

Family holiday

Aggie the owner could not do enough for us. Abdul and the lady cleaner did everything and even rented bikes for us. Sin came in every morning and cooked breakfast . 5 mins walk to golden beach with 2 great shacks for cheap food and drinks. A lovely clean pool and quiet area. I would go back tomorrow.

It's a trap.

We Expected the Little villas we could see at the pictures and what was written down in the hotel description. When we booked, we only could choose apartments. So we thought it would be the same. But NO. It's not the same, these are two different buildings, with separate stuff and pools. The one we stayed was a 4 or 5 level building with a lot of apartments. The apartments are quite nice and well equipped, but we expected something else. We didn't want the owner to pick us up from the train station because it was overpriced. When the driver did not find the hotel immidiately the hotel owner shouted at us. He is a very unkindly person and all he wants is your money. His employees are very kind and helpful. They supply a very nice homemade breakfast. To The beach it will take you about 10 to 15 minutes.

We didn't actually stay at A's, they had some electrical work going on so the owner put us up at the Golden Sands Apartments. We did walk past A's to get back from the beach, looks nice and quiet, the owner was really helpful and kind.

Fantastisk semesterlägenhet med bästa läge

Detta var ett otroligt trevligt lähenhetshotell med egen frukostkock, alla bekvämligheter såsom pool och egen tvättmaskin. Nära stranden, 5 minuters promenad. Och promenadavstånd till Goa's berömda restaurang Martins Corner.

Ruhig, schöner Strand zum ausspannen

Nah am Strand. Sehr gutes und günstiges essen in fussweite im Martins corner. Wir waren alle 4 Abende dort. Pool vorhanden aber nicht genutzt. Mit Fahrrad ins dorfzentrum, 5min. Aber da gibt's nicht wirklich was zu tun/sehen. 1tag Roller ausleihen und strakende erkunden war ganz gute Abwechslung.
