Nice hotel with excellent restaurant

We wanted to spend our last day in Sicily outside of busy Catania. This place was outstanding. The restaurant and bar was excellent.

The food at the property was impressive. There was a varied selection at breakfast which was nicely presented. The vegetarian option on the restaurant menu was delicious. When we arrived we were not shown to our room, and were told it was on a different road we took ages to find it, and were given conflicting information by different staff members as to where to go. There were lots of shards of glass around the pool and loungers this this was still visible the following day. There did not appear to be anyone responsible for tidying the pool area, dirty plates and glasses were left on tables all afternoon. We were surprised to be charged for coffee pods in our room!

Great stay overall! The two pools were relaxing, free parking was a big plus, and breakfast was fresh with plenty of options. Special thanks to Raphael, super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Still a beautiful and peaceful spot to unwind in Sicily!

You will be close to churches, Parrish, restaurants - Acirale is like a museum town - if you enjoy the real feel of old cities, and great home service.

Good budget option in the autumn.

Great location, comfortable bed. They provide valet parking for your car if you call ahead. Good breakfast.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. The rooms very clean and large. They set up an extra single bed for my son. The breakfast was delicious. They organised a driver to pick us up from the train and then to take us to the airport. He was a very careful driver. The pool area was much smaller than the view in the website. It was however very clean and there was bar service. The atmosphere was really relaxing and chilled. It is a little dangerous to walk anywhere from the hotel as there are no pavements. It is a long walk to town and the beach, however they offer a free transfer 3 times a day. If I was to go again it would be better if we had a car , but probably won't return as we like an evening walk and it wasn't nice to walk nearby.

Five Star experience. Very comfortable, great facilities and staff. Two pools, roof terrace with a view to Mount Etna and the sea. Secure parking. Highly recommended.

Well maintained hotel with very nice views! Reception staff were not very accommodating and give the impression that it was a chore to help or advise! The hotel was exceptionally clean, the food was very good with a wide selection! The location isn’t ideal for walking to the main centre and you will likely need taxis there and back.

NOTHING like the pictures

Looks NOTHING like the pictures on the Hotels.com page. What looks like a beachfront swimming area is in fact a disappointing bar/ restaurant type of thing (with grubby bathrooms!). Breakfast included was totally uninspired, and room dominated by bad 1980s glass, chrome & leather. Don’t understand the high overall guest reviews at all. Would avoid.

Nice little Gem!

Amazing hotel. Lives up to the reviews we researched before our stay. The staff are very helpful and the food is very tasty if you choose to eat at the hotel in the evening. A few things to be aware of: 1) it’s not close to lots of other bars and restaurants so expect to drive or take taxis to get about to the main towns 2) the two restaurants near the hotel were both enjoyable food but I would be careful of the bill - we were overcharged both times. 3) make sure you ask the cost of the taxi from the airport before you get in the taxi, we were overcharged by 40 euros as were other guests. It should be around 60 euros by taxi. However, an Uber is between 40-50 euros. 4) it’s very quiet and tranquil, be prepared to totally relax - some might find it a little too quiet. It’s a small hotel and very civilised which we really liked.

Sadly we had a very poor experience. We booked this hotel for our last night in Sicily, hoping for a high quality experience and amazing service. We were disappointed. It all started in the first 5 minutes. When have you ever checked in and gone to your room to find that there are no toilet rolls? We were given some very quickly but we should have realised that there was something amiss... When we went to use the shower, this morning, we discovered that it was broken (and had obviously been broken for some time)... so the room should never have been sold. When i pointed this out to the reception manager, his view was that I should have called the emergency number to get the shower fixed. (Can you imagine, naked in the bathroom at 7am, needing to get out to catch a flight... calling an engineer???) NO... The bottom line is that they should not have rented the room. I'm requesting a refund. Let's see how reasonable they are!

Muy buen apartamento todo nuevo y modernisimo y no le faltaba de nada.Muy tranquila zona y con parquing.Fantasticoy muy recomendable! Tambien tienen el cafe del mar en Acireale donde hacen descuento a los huespedes, buena comidao

Wir waren Ende November in Sicilia‘s Residence. Das Kilma war um diese Zeit sehr angenehm. Die Insel nicht so überlaufen und im Hotel fühlten wir uns sehr wohl! Tolles Frühstück, wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Wir hatten jeden Morgen den Hotelpool ganz für uns allein! Unser Zimmer war sehr großzügig aufgeteilt, dazu ein schönes großes Badezimmer und ein toller Meer-Blick von unserem Balkon! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Dankeschön für eine sehr schöne entspannende Woche!
