This place is a diamond in the ruff. It is located on Pacific and 24th which is very close to the Boardwalk and Walgreens is just across the street. Bring your own plates, forks, shampoo, etc. towels are provided. Security is active from evening to morning. So you can rest easy even being close to the beach crowd. I’d definitely stay there again!

We can't wait to return.

We stayed in an efficiency cottage. It was cute and extremely clean. It provided all we needed with a stovetop, microwave and small refrigerator for our 3 day stay. We brought our own pans, cooking utensils, and plates. The cottage was small yet had plenty of storage for kitchen items and clothing. The location was perfect with quick access to the beach and nearby stores. The staff was friendly and a joy to chat with.

We loved staying at this little cottage. The room was clean and it had a great little front porch to hang out and sip cocktails after the sun set. It is just one block from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants you can walk to. Great place for half the cost of Ocean front.

I enjoyed staying at Angie's Guest Cottage; it is unique. I loved my room with the wicker and king bed. It was very clean. This was my first time in visiting my niece and I chose Angie's Guest Cottage for my stay. Norma and Steve were welcoming and I liked the "family" type of ownership. I definitely recommend them as a welcoming change from staying in a hotel.

Great stay!

I had a great stay, one night, week before Labor Day. Super clean and quiet, easy parking, even let me park in overflow lot the day of departure. Appreciated restaurant recommendations. Across the street from 7/11, a block from Walgreens, no need to drive anywhere. Will be back!

My daughter and I stayed here for four nights. The property was super clean and the customer service is second to nine. There’s plenty to do within walking distance. I’d recommend this place to anyone considering taking a vacation to Virginia Beach.

All the decor was similar to the 50s and that was a great memory. Colors and decorations were bright and cheerful. Staff were helpful with current festivities and directions. Grounds were well maintained.

Family owned and operated, Steve Jr was welcoming at the start and Steve Sr. At checkout time. Room was very clean and well maintained. Location is very close to the beach, dining, shopping.

I come every year and Steve never looks any older! Great stay, super comfortable and convenient with 7/11, Walgreens and dining options steps away. I walked to the beach and never moved my car. Kitchenette is unequipped so bring, plates, cups, cutlery etc if you need them. I’ll be back!

Very cute cottage and the location was great but we kept hearing a loud, thumping bass sound past midnight at night that came through the walls. We also ran out of hot water halfway through our 3rd daughter showering. Just be sure to bring your own toiletries and there was no cookware as well.

When we checked in Stevie Jr. gave us a rundown of the immediate area. He was so nice and informative. It was a quick and easy check in. The room was extremely clean. The only thing was is the smell of must I had a problem with and the bed was not comfortable. But the location and cleanliness was outstanding.

Location is several blocks from the beach and boardwalk. Several good restaurants nearby. Communication with management was poor. The room was not provided with fresh towels daily - probably every several days. I would not stay there again.

Cockroaches and Unsafe Location

I don’t often write reviews, but feel compelled in this case to save others from making a mistake. The ”cottage” which is actually more of an apartment, is infested with cockroaches. Within minutes of entering the room, the largest cockroach I have ever seen, ran up the wall behind the headboard. It stayed on the wall the entire time we packed to leave the room. I contacted the manager to return the key and he offered to refund us for the stay. He said it would take few days to process. One month later, I have not received the refund and the manager refuses to respond. I must also note that the location of this hotel is in a bad area. There are many people hanging out on the street smoking, drinking, etc and outdoor bars on the block with loud music late at night. I cannot more strongly advise you to avoid this place at all costs.

Just me and my hubby!

My husband and I were in Roanoke seeing his family. No one could take a day off work so we decided to go to Virginia Beach. I found the cottage on Trivago while we were driving to Virginia Beach. The place was relatively easy to find with Google maps. I liked that the free parking was off the street beside the cottage, and then the ocean was just a couple of easily walked blocks away. The room has a microwave, very small fridge, toaster, coffee pot, and a 2-burner cook top. There were NO pots or pans, no plates, no utensils, no cups so bring your own if you intend to cook while you are there. There are several places to eat, souvenir shops, drug stores, and convenience stores close by. The bed in our room was very soft and comfortable. We did have a small mishap. We were the first to use the heater this season, and when it warmed up it burned off the dust and caused the smoke alarm to go off! The place was brightly lit all night long which brings me to my only complaint-- I had to hang towels on the windows to make it dark enough to sleep. The owner and his son were very nice. I was having an allergic reaction which caused the skin around my eyes to swell and get red and itchy. They gave me ice to put on my eyes the help reduce the swelling. I was thankful that I did not have to buy a whole bag of ice at 7-11!
