This is a really special cottage in a very special place. Simon and Ann have thought of everything: it's such a thoughtfully equipped house, with wonderful books as well as everything that is practical and helpful for a holiday in this lovely part of Greece. The pool is such a bonus in the heat, but there are also many beautiful beaches accessible by car or via wonderful ancient mule tracks down the mountain. It's a perfect location, both to experience complete peace and release and to explore the magical Mani. Thank you, we would love to come back.

This is a really nice villa in a great location. At the top of Porastio village, a short walk down the hill into the narrow streets of this quiet village. The property was bigger and more modern than I had anticipated . Directions to the home were perfect and also avoided some of the ridiculously narrow roads that the rental car sat nav wanted us to take. You are also a few minutes by car away from the coastal villages and restaurants, or going up the mountain restaurants with wonderful sunset views. It is about a 10 minute drive to several well stocked supermarkets. Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay, although I personally found the mattress very hard on my old bones and there are only two useable sun loungers, that is a matter of personal preference and didn't diminish our enjoyment. There are nice sunset views from several location but especially from the tower top and in a private, quiet setting. We had a very enjoyable two weeks.

Great Place

We had a fantastic holiday in this very nice house. Location is good. Swimming-pool is great, our teenage kids had lots of fun. We can only recommend the house and will be back!

Excellent all round.

Lovely property, beautiful location and the pool was a godsend in the heat. The village is close to 2 small towns that have very nice restaurants and small shops, there are beaches and coves ideal for snorkelling and a boat hire place too, all within 10-15 mins. Really great holiday all round and an excellent property and host.

Tiny lovely house

Great little house with lots of charm. All the necessary equipment. Very pleasant little pool. Lemon tree, orange tree, century-old olive tree... and a region that is relatively untouristy and magnificent.

Everything you could want

A beautiful villa and garden in an absolutely stunning area. A gem. Swimming in turquoise waters, ancient walks, tavernas on the shore - what's not to like. Simon very responsive and professional.

Beautiful house in lovely location

We had a wonderful week at Mikros Pyrgos. The house is lovely and extremely well equipped, the garden is really pretty and the pool perfect for gentle swimming. The location in Proastio is perfect, on the hillside with stunning views, access to a local shop and taverna but in very easy reach of the coast and other hillside villages and of other places of interest on the Mani Peninsula snd beyond. Communication with both owner and house manager was quick and easy. We highly recommend Mikros Pyrgos.

An idyllic hideaway

A modern house well presented and equipped with a lovely garden. Within short walk of village shop and taverna. Enjoyed meals in taverna and music evening. Badly let down by lack of sun beds and umbrellas. There was only one useable sunbed and a small beach umbrella which provided little shade by pool. Patio outside house well shaded with umbrella and sail. Good beaches nearby.

Wonderful holiday at Mikros Pyrgos in Mani!

We had a wonderful stay at Mikros Pyrgos. The house was beautifull, well equipped and the view was absolutely stunning, We enjoyed Kardamyli as it has very friendly people, nice little boutiques, good food and drinks, just a few (mainly Greek, French and Italian) tourists and the sea and the beaches are beautifull. The contact with the owners was good and they really wanted us to have a great stay. Thank you for opening your wonderful house for my familiy. We hope to come back to Mani sometime soon. Amsterdam, Netherlands - July 2019

Great two weeks

The property is excellent, exactly as on the on line description. The pool is smallish but deep and perfect for cooling off, our 3 kids loved it and there was plenty of room for the whole family to swim around in.There are new sun loungers and two very large umbrellas for much needed shade. The house itself is very well equipped. It’s located on the edge of a pretty little village, not far from a sandy beach at Stoopa or the lovely small town of Kardimyli.

"An Unforgettable Second Stay: A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Exploration"

This was our second stay at this wonderful property, and it was just as delightful as the first. The property truly feels like a home away from home. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket, which set a warm and inviting tone for our stay. The house itself is impeccably clean, well-maintained, and exceptionally comfortable. The pool provided the perfect respite from the heat, offering a refreshing escape on hot days. This time, we took the opportunity to explore even more of the area. We revisited a boat trip and made several visits to Kardimim, where evening meals by the harbor were simply spectacular. Our adventures also took us as far as the ancient town of Messini and on an intriguing trip to the caves. One of our favourite moments was stargazing from the pool and watching the sunsets from the balcony—both experiences that added a touch of magic to our stay. A truly special place - defiantly hoping to return for a third visit.

Wonderful 2 week holiday

Everything was wonderful. Met at the house and given lots of brilliant local tips for excursions and eating / shopping / walking. We loved going to the local taverna and walking down to the two local beaches on the old paths through olive groves and wild thyme and sage. Beaches themselves beautiful with clear warm water - spent hours snorkelling and swimming with the children. Great shorter trips into the mountains and to local sites (including Kalamata with excellent market and cafes and museums) and longer ones across to Mystra, Messene and Nestor’s palace and down into Mani. House was bigger than we expected and really well equipped for cooking. The owners had kindly arranged a third single bed in the second bedroom so there was plenty of space for our three children. We loved the pool which is small but wonderful and deep - perfect for splashing and cooling off. Sunsets as promised dramatic and views of mountains and sea stunning. Garden felt green and still lush despite late August, and fans kept us cool enough at night. Occasional dramatic thunderstorms added to excitement. We loved the house / pool /garden and local area and did not want to come home.

Paz, tranquilidad y belleza

Sencilla casa situada en un pueblo de montaña con un entorno de paz, tranquilidad y belleza. La casa tiene que actualizar la cocina, los baños y el suelo. El exterior de la casa es pequeño pero bien cuidado. Los dueños son muy atentos y están pendientes de que estés cómodo y tengas tranquilidad. En general, la estancia fue agradable y buena.

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail und sehr wohnlich eingerichtet, sodass man sich sofort zuhause fühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den tollen Pool, der zum Entspannen und Abkühlen einlädt. Ein echtes Highlight ist die Aussichtsplattform, von der aus man fantastische Sonnenuntergänge genießen kann – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, und wir konnten die Zeit hier in vollen Zügen genießen. Eine Unterkunft, die wir absolut weiterempfehlen können!

Das Haus ist sehr schön, tolle Aufteilung, perfekte Ausstattung, Tipp-topp sauber. Der Pool und die Dachterrasse mit Sunset-View sind das Tüpfelchen auf dem I. Das Dorf und die Taverne sind sehr charmant, die Umgebung und die Strände bieten viel Abwechslung. Absolute Empfehlung!

Amazing!

Wow! The property is lovely. Views from the roof terrace are fantastic with both morning coffee and evening gin and tonic. We have 4 children - they loved the pool. Perfect for accessing great beaches and mountains. Great tavernas in village and further afield. Can’t recommend enough and great value Colin

Good times had by all.

I don’t think the photos do the property justice. It is such a lovely space that we all enjoyed. Really well equipped. Amazing views and the garden is beautiful. Very clean. Would highly recommend.
