Just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment and outdoor adventures, this rural retreat in the Avery’s Creek Community is a sanctuary of peacefulness. Along with the horses in the pasture you are bound to see wild turkeys and deer and hear bull frogs on summer nights.
Your Private Hot Tub is on a covered porch with a spectacular view of the mountains from the spacious lounge seats. This spa hot tub features 31 jets and 2 full body seats.

Your fully equipped private bungalow overlooks our private fishing pond and horse pasture. You can take a short hike on the wooded property, fish for trout, bass and brim or plan your day sipping coffee on the porch and end it sitting around a warm campfire sharing stories from your day’s adventure.

This convenient location is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. Your romantic get-away is located just 10 minutes from the Mountains to Sea Trail, water sports on the French Broad River, hiking and biking at Bent Creek and the NC Arboretum. You are 10 minutes from dining, shopping and entertainment at Biltmore Park and Sierra Nevada Brewery, 15 minutes from the airport, North Mills River National Forest Recreation Area, and the Asheville Outlet Mall and 20 minutes from West Asheville, The Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village, the River Arts District and Downtown Asheville.

Special amenities that can be arranged through the owners for an additional fee include: 1) Horse boarding for up to 2 horses during your stay. We will be happy to take you on a guided tour of some of our favorite riding trails in North and South Mills River, DuPont State Forest or Davidson River Recreation Area. 2) Guided hiking or trout fishing.

Perfect weekend get away

We were on the way to NC and there was a snow storm going on and Donna called to make sure we were prepared for the arrival and getting up the driveway. Perfect place for a weekend decompress. We will be back

Great property!

Donna is a great host with a great cabin, perfect for a weekend getaway! The cabin was as advertised, and Donna even took the time to leave us a personal note upon arrival. The fridge even included a few beers from local breweries. She is also quickly available via text if questions arise. I highly recommend!

Peaceful place to unwind

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Nice quite place to unwind. Felt like you are in the mountain but close enough to everything to be able to enjoy it all. Had all the basics included. Some good tips for hiking trails. Great place to get away. We will be back

Loved staying in this cabin! The screened in porch and hot tub were wonderful and the cabin was very thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous property and the hosts were great!

Beautiful location!

This is a great spot. We explored the Smokey Mountains, Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain. It’s such a beautiful area and close to everything you need.

Peaceful Get Away

This was a first trip to NC. This cabin was located in a beautiful area so close to Asheville. We loved the beauty and peacefulness about this location. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch, enjoying coffee. The hot tub was such a wonderful addition. This cozy cabin was very clean and we appreciated the attention to detail and thoughtful little touches that Donna had left for us! We'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone!

Perfect Romantic Getaway!

This was the perfect cabin for our anniversary trip. We were far enough from the city to get away and relax but also close enough to get to shops and restaurants. Our hosts were so welcoming and sweet! Sitting on the screened in back porch was our favorite part of the cabin! We will definitely be back!

Great Place!

We stayed for 3 nights, as a "Fall Long-Weekend Getaway," and enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was the perfect distance away from it all, and also easy for us to get out and go exploring, hiking, and dining. We would definitely stay again, when in the area!

Lovely view

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Can't say enough about the lovely view of the lake from the screened in porch. We spent a lot of our time reading in the comfortable chairs, taking in the lake view. It was a really relaxing stay. The house accommodations were great. We even got to chat with Donna and her pooch. An all around lovely time away.

Beautiful Anniversary Present

Heaven’s Gate is just awesome! Sit on that front porch away from the world and hear the quiet. It was just what my husband and I needed as a home base for all of the fun things around Asheville.
