A wonderful month on Shelter Island

A great stay in this lovely house. The U shape of the house around the pool was great with young kids. Very helpful and responsive host. Solid wifi and appliances. Really nothing to suggest in terms of improvements. Hope to be back next next year.

Location to write home to Mom about

We all enjoyed the home very much. The owner was very responsive (replaced our A/C in bedroom immediately). The home is a bit vintage so forget marble/latest appliances or 300 thread count linens, but if you come to Shelter Island to enjoy the outdoors and the general uniqueness of the island, then this home is ideal.

Shelter Island Perfect Family Vacation

This home is perfect for those looking for a family vacation spot. Beautiful setting, private and spacious. This home is designed for comfottable family gatherings with a huge living room, good size kitchen and grill for meal prep.(well stocked) It has a large media room with a smaller den for get away reading and napping. The bedroom area is great with comfortable beds and newly remodeled bathrooms. The pool and water view provided us all with entertainment. Watching all the boats and most exciting the ospreys feed. The beach area was great for quiet walks collecting shells, fishing and kayaking. Very peaceful. Many happy memories!

This was the third year that we rented this property its location is tremendously beautiful my grandchildren and my children and I have created incredible memories here

Second stay at this Shelter Island waterfront home!

My family recently enjoyed our second stay at this property. The location is spectacular. The private beach is such a rare find. Most days we were the only people on the entire stretch of beachfront. The evenings on the beach were gorgeous. There is a nice breeze that always seems to exist on this side of the island. This family-friendly house has plenty of space and multiple bathrooms. The kids have plenty of space to run around - huge lawn, private beach and a pool with tons of toys provided by the owner. If you are looking for a good place for tweens and older kids, this one is it. It may not be a great house for toddlers or small children that can’t swim as the pool is located directly outside all the doors on the backside of the house. The host was very responsive.

Amazing

We had a wonderful week on Shelter Island. The house was spacious, the view and sunsets were great, and the pool and beach. It exceeded our expectation ,it was spacious and very comfortable for our family . The owner was very easy to work with and we can’t wait to go back.

This lovely home is a classic beach house! Fantastic views of the water!

This home was perfect for our family vacation! Plenty of space for gathering together, sharing meals, and catching up! Private sleeping areas with water views- very peaceful. Room for everyone! The pool was a real bonus! We loved the short walk to the shore enjoying the shelling and kayaking and sea air! Our granddaughter had fun observing the local wildlife including rabbits, chipmunks, and of course the ospreys fishing. Wonderful two weeks!

Perfect Location for a Week of Relaxation

Terrific place for a family vacation. We spent a week - the house is very comfortable. Its location right on the bay, with beach access, is fantastic. Nice pool, grill on the deck, lots of rooms. All around awesome place. And Kurt, the owner, is down-to-earth, responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home with lots of space inside and outside! The pool is delightful.

The house is spacious and lovely. Eating dinner outside with the sunset as our natural TV cannot be beat! We loved it. The pool is wonderful all times of day. The beach is perfect for relaxing on a beach chair and for enjoying a walk, and swimming was really enjoyable too. The owner is responsive and easy to communicate with. We had fun too exploring the Island. We had a most wonderful time!!
