We loved this gracious and beautiful apartment situated close to everything in the downtown. especially the great restaurants and the cathedral. It was comfortable and well appointed. It would be comfortable for two couples or as we were, just two people who enjoy each other's company but would rather have their own bedroom.

This is a beautiful, historical apartment with all of the French charm we were hoping for. Original wood floors , high ceiling, a lovely garden and functional kitchen. We enjoyed a few days in the garden on the sunny days It is a six minute walk to Vieux Marche in the old town. We felt very secure in the apartment . I would definitely stay again .

We really enjoyed our 10-day stay at Chantal's place. The apartment was large, bright, and comfortable. All the beds were great. The kitchen was minimalist, but we managed to prepare some wonderful meals. It was a short walk to the edge of the historic center, where you are never far from restaurants and cafés, boulangeries/pâtissiers, épiceries, boucheries, and poissoniers, etc. Chantal greered us warmly and was a great host.

Great location, paid parking was available but needed to be noted as such, parking available applied that there was a parking spot. Parking was complicated and took us a good portion of a day to figure it out. Dishwasher did not work and neither did the stove. Kitchen was minimally equipped and was a bit disappointing, could use a remodel. Second bedroom was smaller and beds nearly on the floor, not as expected. Place was spacious and well located, just tired and could use a deep clean. Outdoor space was lovely. Would recommend but need to know what to expect.

Charmibg appartement in great location

We had an excellent week long stay in Rouen. The appartment had a lot of space, perfect for our three member family. The location, only a few minutes walk to the old city of Rouen was perfect as well. The appartment has a charming atmosphere, little out dated at some points.

First Time in Rouen

Dear Chantal The apartment had everything we needed, everything worked as it should and the location was excellent. We had no problems with either the television or Wi-Fi connection We would be happy to recommend you to others and hope to return soon

Where to begin?......

It began with poor communication from the owner. That should have been our red flag. When she finally got back with instructions on how to enter the property, they were wrong. She provided a phone number, missing a digit, and an access code that was obsolete. What to do? Ultimately, we asked a local shop keeper if she knew the owner. She did and called her. After such a hassle, we got in. That's when the condition of the apartment became apparent. - No parking included, as advertised in listing. - Dust and grime throughout. - Mold in the bathroom and shower. - A set of doors to the outside did not close or lock. - Every time any resident in the building used the toilet, there was a loud, long groaning sound. This happened through the night. -There were two filthy towels left to use in the bathroom. - The AC flooded down the wall and onto a table and the floor below. Because there were no towels, we had to wipe up the water from the AC with a bedsheet. - There was a toilet plunger (!) left on the table in the middle of the living room. - All of our previous rentals offered a bit of coffee and/or tea, soap, S&P etc. to carry us for the first day. That was not the case with this rental. There is more to say, but let this suffice. Steer clear of this rental. We reached out to the owner and still have not heard from her. We left early the first morning and found a hotel. We are currently pursuing reimbursement through VRBO.

Never again!

Our stay at this apartment was not nice at all and we had to stay for 3 weeks. It was spacious, nice decorated and the location was good, but that was about it. 1. The absence of English. We mostly received mails in French and when we arrived it was not possible to show us around in English what made it difficult, because our French was quite basic. 2. The bad Wi-Fi connection. We actually had to work but could not do so, because the Wi-Fi signal was very bad and if you were lucky you could get a signal just in front of the router. 3. It was super loud from upstairs and outside. There is a wooden floor in the house, so you could hear every step, running around and kids screaming upstairs. When we were there there were also construction works in the building next door until 1 AM (!!!) at night (several nights) and they just stopped because we complained several times. Oh and just to make it clear: they were all part of the family who rented out the flat, but the owners said they cannot help us with that issue. 4. The flat was sooo cold but the owners refused to turn on the heating system before Oct. 1 (after we left). So we had to make fire and sit with blankets all the time (not so much sun in the flat). The fire of course did not heat up the apartment because it was too big for that. In the end we left a day earlier because we could not take it anymore and the owners were not really helpful and not that polite either. We also tried to write a review before but the owners said we have never stayed at their place. Let's see if the review gets published this time!

Très mignon

J´ai passé 2 semaines avec mes 2 enfants dans l´appartement et nous étions vraiment commodes. L´appartement est centrique, confortable et acueillant. Mes enfants jouent piano et ils ont profité jouer quand nous arrivons le soir. Les propietaires sont tès gentilles. Nous avons passe deux semaines magnifiques et Rouen et La Normandie sont merveilleuses

Très mignon

Eine außergewöhnliche und große Wohnung, die vielleicht hier und da ein wenig mehr Liebe verdient hätte. Es war sauber und eigentlich alles da, und die Lage ist wirklich perfekt. Parken ist etwas herausfordernd, hat dann aber doch ganz gut geklappt. Die Kommunikation war auch ok, wenn auch manchmal etwas verwirrend - wir erhielten zunächst eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung für ein Haus 20 km von Rouen entfernt. Wir wurden aber dann doch zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt am richtigen Ort von einer sehr freundlichen Dame empfangen, die uns alles gezeigt hat (und das ist viel). Rouen ist definitiv eine Reise wert, und wir würden die Wohnung auch wieder buchen.

Appartement très grand belle terrasse

Les lits de la petites chambres sont excellants. La salle de bain est pratique. Le sejour et la terrasse sont spacieux. Le créneau d arriveée est stricte. Si vous dépassez l heure indiquée cela se complique.Pour les equipements annoncés, quelques uns de nombreux sont défectueux ou très endommagés comme le lave vaisselle HS, la table extérieure rouillée et l eclairage vous demande de chercher le bon interupteur. Pour sortir dans la rue il ne faut pas oublier les clefs sinon vous etes bloqués dans le sas (ce qui peut être un peu limite d un point de vu sécurité)Un sejour agréable néanmoins en faisant abstraction de la dimension "bohème" du lieux .

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Rouen, une découverte pour nous!L'appartement est situé idéalement à 5 mn du centre historique, point fort !Seul petit bémol, le chauffage est à réviser...

Rouen

L appartamento ha un ottima posizione nel centro storico di Rouen e vicino alla stazione. Sicuramente non è perfetto e ha qualche problema con l'impianto elettrico ma è una casa con personalità, noi abbiamo soggiornato in agosto e siamo stati benissimo. La descrizione della casa e le fotografie presenti nel sito rispecchiano perfettamente la casa. Monica

Un appartement comme celui ci ne devrait pas être loué. L'état est négligé,abîmé, malpropre, sale, présence de moisissures, tâches sur les meurs, les rideaux, odeur d'urine forte dans la sale de bain, la douche n'est pas étanche et donc coule sur le plancher, plancher tres bruyant qui craque dès que quelqun marche, entend le voisin du haut donc bruyant. Triste car bien situé et photos sont prométeuses....

Bonjour L’appartement est bien situé. L’accueil était très bien. Nous avons eu des problèmes avec le fonctionnement de la cuisinière. Le four ne fonctionnait qu’à broil. Une des deux chambres n’avait aucune prise électrique fonctionnelle. Donc pas d’électricité dans cette chambre.Envoi d’un courriel ´à la propriétaire. Elle nous a répondu que pour la cuisinière, il fallait « tâtonner » pour trouver le fonctionnement. Sans succès Pour l’électricité, elle a écrit qu’il y avait des problèmes . Résultat: il a fallu trouver une rallonge électrique afin de brancher une lampe de chevet.Nous avons eu l’impression d’avoir été laissé à nous mêmes. J’ai suggéré ´à la propriétaire d’écrire le fonctionnement des appareils électriques et de l’afficher dans la cuisine.. J’ai suggéré ´à la propriétaire d’écrire et d’afficher

A wonderful stay in Rouen

The property was pretty much as described, and that's not a complaint. It was a charming apartment that was perfectly located to the historic district, as well as food, entertainment, etc. We enjoyed our stay, felt comfortable and safe and will likely consider it the next time we visit Rouen.

Optimale Lage zur Altstadt

Zu Fuss in einer Minute in der Altstadt, das war für uns sehr wichtig. Der Angebotspunkt "Parkplatz" ist schlichtweg falsch, die Wohnung hat keinen Parkplatz. Kostenpflichtige Plätze in den Seitenstraßen, mit Glück zu finden. Wir haben manchmal auf der anderen Seite des Flusses kostenlos geparkt, der längere Weg zur Wohnung hat uns nichts ausgemacht. Insgesamt eine wunderbare, von Licht durchflutete Wohnung, wenn man alle Türen öffnet. Für jeden zu empfehlen, der den alten französischen Einrichtungsstil mag. Im Bad lagen leider nur vier Handtücher bereit, das ist für drei Personen für eine Woche zu wenig. In den Osterferien war es auch noch nicht so warm, sodass die Handtücher nicht trockneten. In der Küche war alles vorhanden (aber leider nur ein Geschirrtrockentuch), etwas eigentümlich eingerichtet, nicht schmutzig, aber eben benutzt. Die Wohnung insgesamt war leider an einigen Stellen nicht ganz sauber, Staub war auf den Glastischen besonders gut zu sehen und ich fand Haare auf dem Nachttisch. Die herrliche Dachterrasse, von Schlafzimmer und Küche aus zugänglich, war leider sehr ungepflegt. Metalltisch rostig, Stuhlauflagen schmutzig in der Ecke und nicht zu nutzen. Einiges Gerümpel in den Ecken. Wir waren von der absolut hervorragenden Lage zur Altstadt, von der Einrichtung und der guten Aufteilung der großen und hohen Räume begeistert. Das hat für uns die anderen Punkte ausgeglichen.

Séjour Rouen

Superbe appartement clair, agréable, vaste. Seul problème les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur 1 seul torchon pour la cuisine, des couverts hétéroclites, pas de lave vaisselle, douche sans mitigeur thermostatique et pas assez de linge (serviettes de bain). Autrement très bon séjour

Nous sommes partis un jour plus tôt

Nous avons eu un gros souci avec la clim très bruyante et lumineuse dans toutes les pièces (sauf la SDB ou elle était cassée et il faisait froid), nuits très désagréables pour cette raison, pourtant nous avions échangé avec la propriétaire a ce sujet au vu des commentaires. Prestations assez cheap, pas de LL ni LV, un évier simple pour faire la vaisselle a la main, 2 torchons seulement, machine a café a filtre. Nous avons été gênes par la forte odeur de tabac dans l'appartement. Communication compliquée ou nous avons fait tampon-choc entre la propriétaire et Mr P qui visiblement ne s'entendent pas et se renvoient la balle pour régler les soucis. Séjour décevant, nous sommes partis une nuit plus tôt pour ne pas accumuler les nuits blanches.

Chic et confortable

Appartement tres chic et confortable avec une superbe terrasse, conforme a la description donnee. Tres bonne isolation donc tres calme. Il est idealement situe a 5 minutes a pieds du centre historique de Rouen et 10 minutes du bord de Seine, parfait pour decouvrir cette superbe ville. Accueil efficace et tres sympatique 😊. bonne communication. A recommander.
