A lovely, modern apartment just 350 yards from the beach. The perfect base for walking or touring and great for couples and small families, and pet friendly too.. All on the Ground Floor:

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Central heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Courtyard with garden furniture. Bike store. Parking on private road. Please note: This property has a security deposit of £250. Situated on the southeast coast of England between Dover and Deal, Headland is a comfortable and cosy apartment that adjoins owners’ holiday home. It’s located at the top of the White Cliffs in St Margarets Bay. It is an ideal property to use as a base to explore the sights and attractions of the local area.

The beach, just 350 yards away, nestles beneath the cliffs, in a picturesque and sheltered bay. At low tide it is perfect for rock pooling and crabbing, and the Coastguard Pub on the beach is a welcome stop to enjoy a meal and local draught beer.

The area is a walkers’ paradise with long walks along the cliffs. You can explore the South Foreland Lighthouse, where you can stop for a delicious cream tea, or walk to Kingsdown and visit the Zetland Arms pub on the beach.

Opposite the cottage is Pines Gardens, a lovely 6 acre organic garden with a lake, a poetry path and children’s trail, along with an organic kitchen garden. The award winning tea rooms are worth a visit for a light lunch or tea with divine cakes.

The apartment has a bright and modern open plan living space and two bedrooms, one double and one single with a trundle bed under. The courtyard to the front to this St Margarets Bay apartment is a peaceful spot to sit and relax and listen to the birdsong and overlooks Pine Gardens.

Marvelous

We were completely satisfied with this cozy little apartment. Great location, just a few minutes up to the cliffs and a few minutes down to the very good Coastguard pub and Bay. The apartment was very clean and there was everything you need for a relaxing vacation. There was even bread, butter, eggs and jam ready for us when we arrived - we felt very welcome. We will be very happy to come again!

Gezellige cottage op een geweldige locatie

Het is een prachtig klein huisje op een geweldige locatie. Op wandelafstand van verschillende wandelpaden en dus ook van de prachtige uitzichten op de kliffen. Het huisje was perfect voor ons en ons 8 maanden oud baby’tje. Het is er netjes en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Zeker een aanrader!

Home from Home but better location

The owner of this fabulous property is very thoughtful with the gifts he left us: bread, milk, butter, jam, eggs etc. This perfectly situated cottage is on a private road and so quiet and peaceful and there is no light pollution so the stars at night are wonderful - since I live in a city I forgot what stars looked like! The shower pressure is amazing!! Heating was needed as it was cold in late November. The Kitchen is very well equipped and thought out. The king size bed is medium/firm. The settees are comfy but a bit low for me as I suffer with arthritis so this is personal choice, nothing wrong with them for most people. Ironing Board/Iron/Hoover,dustpan and brush, clothes airer are provided which is nice. There's even an ipod speaker. We loved our stay, and having restaurants and shops nearby is a bonus as well. The Coastguard pub/restaurant has a lovely menu with a wide range of food & desserts, we recommend going to the Battle of Britain Memorial as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quite this place has in abundance.

Country Cottage in the Bay

Beautiful property situated in the heart of the Bay. Walks across the cliffs from the door. Excellent cafe, almost next door, serving delicious food and a clifftop tearoom not far in the other direction. The property is convenient for exploring the Kent coast and the historic castles at Deal and Dover.

We had a lovely relaxing break at Headland. The cottage is in a perfect location for walking the coastline with pubs on the door step and lots of local history for those interested. We stayed 4 nights during half term and had a delightful time. The location was perfect for us, (we have a 5 year old and a 3 year old.) we spent our days wandering the White Cliffs, down on the beach or exploring the local sites at Deal and Dover. Loved the cottage and it's perfectly placed. Some lovely walks and pub near by. The cottage was lovely and had everything you needed. However, because of it's location boots and dogs get dirty on your Walks and on your return you walk straight into the cottage. Something is needed for your boots, we had to put one of our dog towels down to help. Would definitely go again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A very good holiday property for a couple looking to enjoy a short break on the Kent coast.

A very good holiday property for a couple looking to enjoy a short break on the Kent coast. There's an excellent tea room / cafe just down the lane and an interesting pub within walking distance. Great coastal walks from the apartment - wasn't able to make the most of them due to monsoon conditions for the first couple of days. However was able to sample enough of the coastal path to appreciate the potential. Headland provided a warm and comfortable base to retreat to after braving the elements. The level of equipment in the property is good, but needs a few extras to justify some of the high scores and positive comments awarded for this area. A bonus for some would be that the wifi is excellent - this is not always the case in properties where it is advertised.
