Loved the design of the house. So peaceful, with beautiful sunsets. Great location. We used the dock, renting a boat to go to Leiden, on the Kaag. Ellen, we would be honored to host you in our home in Colorado Springs.

Very special location

Beautiful views for both sunrise and sunset over the water with friendly and welcoming host. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed. As a family of 4 with adult children, the house was spacious and perfect to relax in. Ideal for leaving the car for a week and cycling to Keukenhof and Leiden. Loved it.

Comfortable house, unique location

Very nice house in a very unique location as described on the web site. Enjoyed the view and the fireplace. Friendly and easy service. Kitchen is very well equipped could do with less ;-)

Walk

Was wonderful. Really enjoyed being there. House was clean and organized. Had everything we needed. The host was great, easy to talk to. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. Have to walk 500 meters from parking spot to the house over a path thru the field. Beautiful view on all sides.

Island property

It was special!!!!! Beautiful home. Beautiful. There is a 9 to 10 minute walk from where you park the car. Not ADA accessible but for those who are active and enjoy walking before they begin their sightseeing. It was perfect. Well stocked kitchen with spices and oils. All the pans, knives, cutting boards, plates and glasses you could need. Nice bed and bath linens. Definetly would stay there again.

Dreamy little getaway

We absolutely loved this lake house! I think it’s also the prettiest and most private part of Kaag but still easily walkable to the city and to the nearby restaurants.. Really beautiful and cozy design, from the furniture, decorations, the beautiful tableware.. Sitting on the terrace right at the lake felt fantastic and the sunsets were really magical, followed by great cozy evenings by the fireplace..:) You should just be prepared that Kaag itself is very small and there are no shops to buy food, so come prepared ;) But absolutely recommend to visit this beautiful and peaceful place! 10/10

Zuerst einmal: ein toller Kontakt mit einer super lieben Gastgeberin und ihrer Tochter. Das Haus ist für Menschen, die wirklich Ruhe suchen optimal. Eine kleine Insel im See, auf die man nur mit einer Fähre kommt. In dem Haus sieht man auf einer Seite die Sonne aufgehen und auf der anderen Seite untergehen. Und das immer über Wasser. Wunderbar. Es ist toll eingerichtet und wir haben wirklich alles da gehabt was wir benötigen. Es gibt vorherige Rezensionen, die störende Flugzeuge nennen. Uns hat es so überhaupt nicht gestört!! Im Gegenteil wir haben in der App geguckt welche Flugzeuge fliegen. Vom Haus aus sind alle wichtigen Orte in ca 30 bis 45 Minuten gut erreichbar. Amsterdam mit tollen Museen, Haarlem als einfach wunderbarer Ort. Oder Delft. Und natürlich auch das Meer. Wir können es nur empfehlen. Menschen, die keine Ruhe wollen, sollten sich überlegen ob es der richtige Ort ist. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeberin!!!!Für den Weg vom Parkplatz zum Haus haben wir uns einen klappbaren Bollerwagen mitgenommen. Sind ca 500 m Weg.

Wundervolles Haus, tolle Lokation

Sehr schönes Haus. Ausgesprochen großzügiger Wohn/Essbereich. Gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Haus ist ingesamt sehr schön und mit Geschmack ausgestattet. Besonders der große Ohrensessel und die lange Liegebank am Fenster mit dem Blick auf das Wasser hat bei uns großen Anklang gefunden. Außensitze vor und hinter dem Haus. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können das Haus wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Heerlijk huis!

Wat een fantastische plek en een sfeervol compleet huis! Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van het uitzicht, de tuin, het gezellige huis en alle faciliteiten zoals de BBQ en de hele complete keuken. We voelden ons direct thuis, mede door het hartelijke welkom van Ellen.We komen zeker terug.

Les armoires ne sont pas vidées : encombrées par du surplus de linge de maison (draps, serviette) et donc pas de place pour y mettre nos affaires Le chauffage pour la petite chambre du fond ne se déclenche pas (grande baie vitrée) donc froide La maison très loin du parking (pas adaptée à des personnes âgées ou qui ont des difficultés pour marcher) Il serait souhaitable de le préciser Peut être prévoir des vélos pour pouvoir se promener aux alentours Le banc de la salle pour manger est très inconfortable et la table assez abimée (heureusement que nous avions prévu une nappe) Il faudrait prévoir un micro ondes Les deux douches ensemble n'ont aucun intérêt Il serait mieux d'avoir deux douches séparées Aucune documentation pour visiter la région ni information sur les boutiques ni les restaurants Et le comble de tout c'est un pays où il est difficile de se faire comprendre puisque la plupart des gens ne parlent pas français Il faudrait aussi indiquer qu'il y a beaucoup de passages d'avions Par contre beau paysage devant comme derrière la maison Bref nous avons passé un séjour correct mais ce n'est pas une location que je recommanderai Trop loin de tout Merci

Empfehlenswert!

Superschönes Haus und supernette Gastgeberin, die Lage ist sehr beeindruckend, wenn die Anreise mit Gepäck auch etwas beschwerlich ist. Aber die Aussicht macht das auf jeden Fall wett. Alles, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht, war vorhanden.

Familieweekend

Wat een mooi en ruim huis helemaal omringd met water en tuin! Overal veel lichtinval waardoor je volop geniet van de zon in het huis. Na een prachtige zonsondergang genoten van een avondje rond de open haard. Het feit dat het autovrij is geeft je 100 percent garantie op rust! Wij komen hier heel graag terug. Der Urlaub war super und das Haus super gelegen mit allem was man braucht. Top ausgestattet, alles zur Verfügung, sauber und gepflegt. Der Weg ist ein Abenteuer, aber eine Reise wert :)

Leuk orgineel huis

Het huisje was goed verzorgd, heel compleet, prachtige ligging. Heerlijke achtertuin met veranda. Het weer was wat wisselvallig en dat is een nadeel. Maar ook enkele mooie zonnige dagen gehad, zodat we lekker in het sloepje konden varen en buiten eten en zonnebaden in de tuin. Om het huisje te bevoorraden moet je een bootje gebruiken of 500 m lopen over een pad.

a romantic hideaway

Das Ferienhaus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage auf der Insel ist sehr speziell. Unsere Ausflugsziele waren von dort aus, sehr gut erreichbar. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Très agréable maison en bois au bord du lac Très cocooning - largement équipée Attention non accessible aux PMR Accès à l’île par un bac 24/24 mais payant 4,50€ par passage Parking sur l’île et ensuite chemin à pied sur 500m environ par très carrossable
