This 1902 home sits in the heart of Baker City - nestled between the Wallowa Mountains to the east and the Blue Mountains to the west. You are minutes away from downtown where you can grab dinner and drinks at top restaurants, wine bars, and brewing pubs. You can take a day trip to our local ski resort, Anthony Lakes Ski Resort or the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Either way, you will not be disappointed in our rural getaway that comfortably sleeps six, with two bathrooms and a kitchen. Spacious, Comfortable place for a weekend stay

The home was comfortable and spacious. We had 6 adults sharing the space for a weekend to attend a local gathering. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and the space was welcoming. We enjoyed the nature and landscape photographs decorating the rooms throughout.

Nice comfortable stay in the heart of Baker City

We had a wonderful time staying at this home. With 5 adults and a 2 year old things can get pretty crazy but staying here during our trip to Baker City provided us a haven for relaxing and getting our 2 year old the afternoon nap she needed to support our other activities. The owner was very responsive to our needs and any questions we had. The kitchen had all the cooking gear we needed to make breakfast in the morning and plenty of plates/utensils when we grabbed food and brought it back to the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Vintage house with still some of the beautiful, probably original lights, doorknobs, window and more. Beautiful ornate radiators! And a heating system that was very cozy in the snow and cold weather! Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms are adequate, but old. Teresa is an exceptional host! Very responsive to any little thing.

Not bad for price

Could’ve been worse, not bad if you don’t plan on spending much time there. Definitely a tenant upstairs with a “fire exit” door in one of the bedrooms that we think connected to the upstairs. Left us feeling kind of uneasy and didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in there but no issues with it that we knew of. Also the listing says washer and dryer but really means a laundromat is available nearby. Weird smells too the first night but we got some air refreshers that helped. Two bathrooms is accurate but the dollar tree cut up shower curtain situation in the bathroom with the clawfoot tub was gross and we only used the front shower between all of us. Got it for a good price so I can’t complain too much, however I feel like the listing isn’t completely accurate and others should be aware. Real close to downtown Baker City tho, good location

This was a stay for my mom and a couple of friends as my mom grew up in Baker City area. They loved the house and charm of it. Excellent location and close to all amenities that beautiful Baker City and surrounding areas have to offer! Host was very responsive and friendly! Definitely will stay again!

Turn of the century charm , close to a lake - I don’t think so. The house inside and out, was very unkept. Between the fallen branch and weeds, the tiles falling off the wall in the bathroom and taped broken glass, the house needs some TLC. Also, we were not told there would be people on the floor above and the notes on the back door that say “don’t lock,” our sense of security was shaken. And between the loud motor of the refrigerator and the poor quality of pillows, and our sense of security being in question, it was a restless stay. If I could have cancelled the 2nd day of our stay and get our money back, I would have. There is more that I could say, but you get the gist. It was obvious the owner does not take pride in her property or the comfort/safety of her guests. Old doesn’t mean shabby.

Older home, spacious with charm. Communication was excellent. Loved the king four-poster bed. If you like modern, this is not the choice for you. If you appreciate older things, you will feel comfortable in this space.

Safety

Loose rugs, could cause falls for the elderly. Bath tubs had no non slip rugs or stick on tabs. This is just asking for a fall with the elderly.

Darling vintage house

We stayed overnight as a waypoint on the road to the Oregon coast. The house was adorable with beautiful original antique elements. Four stars was because the back door is in the third bedroom with pretty sketchy “security” (it could easily be broken into) and my teenagers wouldn’t not stay in it.

We love this house!

We’ve stayed at this place before, and the host has made this a fantastic spot to stay while in Baker! Her communication is outstanding, and the house is very clean and comfortable! Looking forward to staying here again!

Comfortable But A Bit Shabby

The host was great with communication and the location was wonderful - walked to the historical district & shops. We did encounter a few disappointments. For the price, I didn't expect broken blinds, curtains with holes, front door knob falling apart, tv being very small, cheap amenities, and walls that needed some fresh paint and patching. Perhaps it is still in the process of getting updated (the pictures led me to believe everything was spit-spot) or maybe it is just a very old house that looks well used. At any rate, we did enjoy our stay in Baker City but if we go there again, will probably find a more pristine place.

baker city visit

my sisters and i had a reunion in baker city and stayed at teresas. this place is quiet, well outfitted for cooking and convienient to town. we walked a lot thru the shady neighborhood and felt very welcome. lovely place!
