Perched high above Broken Bow Lake, Bella Vista offers some of the most spectacular lake and mountain views in Southeastern Oklahoma. This secluded mountain retreat combines breathtaking scenery, complete privacy, and the peaceful experience of staying surrounded by nature.



Surrounded by National Forest on three sides, Bella Vista is one of only four private cabins on 80 acres. Spend your mornings watching the sunrise over the lake, your afternoons exploring the property, and your evenings relaxing by the outdoor fireplace under a sky full of stars.



Many guests tell us the views are even better in person than the photos.



Guests frequently spot deer, wild turkey, hawks, and other wildlife right from the deck.

Cabin was clean and well maintained. Road in is as described, we made it no issues in a Bronco Sport. It is as secluded as they say. There was an issue with the air conditioning the host noted before arrival and was on top of getting fixed before we got there, and had a back up plan ready just in case they couldn’t get it going. Stay was nice and super relaxing!

Bella Vista isn't just a place to stay—it’s the true Broken Bow experience.My fiancé and I were blown away from start to finish. The scenic drive up is stunning, and arriving at a spotless cabin with jaw-dropping views was the icing on the cake. Wonderful 30th anniversary trip off the grid and away from the noisy world. Two mile hike down to the lake was refreshing (moderately difficult). No hair dryer. Highly recommend!

Because our mountain cabins operate on off-grid solar systems, we are careful about providing high-energy appliances that can place a significant demand on the system. Excellent place to get away for rest, relaxation, peace, and quiet! Loved being outdoors taking in the one-of-a-kind views; sunrise and the low lying clouds fogging over the lake… just breathtaking! Insects were a bit of an issue, but you are in surrounded in nature; so be sure to take OFF or Fogger type spray. We were not prepared to hike, but will be the next time we stay there. Will need to have appropriate footwear and hiking type clothing as there are a lot of vines, bushes, trees and overgrowth. It’s the forest and nature at its best! Loved the rugged industrial feel of the cabin; very homey. Provided the basic standard amenities for 2 people for a couple of nights; will need to take your own additional towels (only provide the 2 sets) as there is no washer/dryer for this particular property (who wants to do laundry when on extended vacation). Great and thorough communication from the owner; very nice! Highly recommend this little hidden gem!

Andy and I have a passion for travel and adventure, exploring incredible destinations like Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and countless places across the United States. Our journey led us to discover the charm of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, in 2007 when we first began boating and ATVing in the area. We instantly fell in love with its natural beauty and tranquility.

In April 2012, our dream of owning land within the National Forest became a reality. Shortly after, we started building our first cabin, marking the beginning of Bear Creek Vacations.
