Fully furnished 1st floor apartment in two-flat w/private entrance and plenty of off-street parking. (There is also a second floor apartment.) The two-flat is 4 miles from the airport. 2.5 miles to UW Madison Campus/Camp Randall/Kohl Center and the Alliant Energy Center. 1.5 miles to the Capitol Square/Monona Terrace/ Overture/ Children's and Veterans Museums. A shorter commute to: Breese Stevens, Barrymore Theater, Farmers Market(s), Jenifer Street Market, Festival Foods. Short walk to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, unique shops & Madison's nicer parks and beaches.

We had a great stay! Roberta was a wonderful host. The apartment was the perfect size for two people and was surprisingly quiet for how close it is to East Washington. We have already booked with Roberta for the next trips trips we are making to Madison.

I very much enjoyed my stay here! I was here for a clinical rotation and the house was located very close to downtown and the nearby hospitals. Roberta was an excellent host and very quick to respond to my questions. I would 100% recommend staying here.

This was a great property. It was very clean and it was great to have laundry available onsite. The kitchen also had all the essentials you need.

The location is excellent. There was plenty of room to park off the street. The amenities were good. The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns. I would stay here again!

Lovely spot to visit Madison

We visit Madison often, but found ourselves in need of a place to stay as the relatives have down sized. We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Easy to find; great off street parking; clean; and the owners even gave us a coffee grinder when asked! We would love to stay here again when we find our selves in Madison.

This is an amazing property. The neighborhood is safe and close to so many things like bike paths, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and grocery stores. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our month long stay. Our host was very accommodating and available if needed. We really enjoyed our time in Madison visiting family.

Great house for two people. One bedroom, clean and roomy, comfortable bed. Kitchen is small but well equipped for cooking. Lots of room to live in the space. Nicely decorated. We enjoyed our four week stay a great deal. Roberta was responsive when we needed her. Great location on the Isthmus, lots of walkable restaurants and shops.

Great option for a longer term stay

Small, quaint and comfortable, nicely distanced from downtown but still very accessible. I stayed here for 5 weeks while doing a clinical rotation at UW Health and it was an excellent option. Quiet, with off street parking, onsite laundry and a well stocked kitchen. Also there were cute rabbits in the yard. The host was responsive. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Thanks much for your kind words, Allie. We have tried to make the space feel like your "home away from home". It is especially nice for students who come to Madison for shorter term educational opportunities. Guests have told me that it is hard to find affordable rentals for 30-90 days that don't require a lease or a deposit. Our guests can also check in or out on any day of the month they choose. The only requirement is that guests stay for a minimum of 30 days. It is also a great choice for those who are here for shorter term career opportunities as well as those who are on sabbatical or on vacation.

So quiet

Very clean and well stocked. Bed is comfy and I am picky, I could cook anything in the kitchen, it was very well furnished. Lots of windows that feel private as you face away from the street. The neighborhood is friendly with a steam near by, perfect for walks and as a single woman I always felt safe . Most outstanding was the quiet. So peaceful. Host was very accessible and responsive. I will definitely be back! Thank you Roberta!safe.

Who ever stays in this accommodation, has to realise, the noise levels that emanates from the wafer thin ceilings of the above appartment. The kitchen needs updating, and the bathroom grizzly, with smelly towels....generally damp feel...

Peaceful stay on Main

Excellent stay! Clean and roomy house with loads of privacy. There was an Isthmus power outage while we stayed and Roberta was amazingly available to help problem solve the brief outages. Plenty of off street parking, too. Very quiet and easily accessible neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this rental! Will definitely stay here again.

A great hideaway in Madison

Nicely appointed, cozy and well situated in a quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was extremely well supplied. Only regrets was that we didn’t get to use the outdoor area, but that was due to some lousy weather. The enclosed porch provided a nice substitute.

Very nice, clean, comfy apartment and a convenient location!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Very comfortable and clean. Off-street parking was good - convenient to entrance. Outside lighting was good. Location was great for us between downtown and Ulbrich Botanical Gardens. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful rental.

This place was wonderful. It was absolutely spotless, tastefully decorated and wonderfully located to all that I needed. So much better than a single hotel room, I had the whole house. Really liked having the kitchen to cook meals instead of eating all meals out. Bed was awesome and so comfortable it was really hard to get up each morning. Felt very safe in this area. Only glitch was spotty tv service but really no big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your kind words. We've got Netflix with "antenna" TV (20+ local channels). We're trying to figure out how to get rid of the "spotty" reception . . . stay tuned.

I enjoy biking during the summer months and like to snow shoe, cross county ski and ice skate in the winter months. We recently purchased a cabin that is also available for rental thru VRBO. It is located on Amber Lake in the Town of Minocqua, Wisconsin.

The property has been in my family since 1965. I was fortunate to be able to purchase it in 1987. It is an ideal location in that it is in the heart of Madison and the perfect location to enjoy all that the city has to offer.
