Lake Street Carriage House

The Lake Street Carriage House is a fully renovated 1860's carriage house located in the heart of Picton, Ontario and has just received the Prince Edward County's 2016 Builders Award for Best Residential Build.

Great for families, multiple friends, and couples looking to be within walking distance to all restaurants, shops and Theatre. It is a 10 minute drive to the Sandbanks Provincial Park, and close to all the County's wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries. It is also steps from the Millennium Trail for those who enjoy jogging, walking and biking. If Golf is what you are looking for it is only a 5 minute drive to the Picton Golf & Country Club.

Set back from the road, the Carriage House provides the space and privacy to enjoy your down time after a long day of exploring all the County has to offer. A two-story three bedroom home that has been renovated and restored to ensure that the history of the building has been maintained wherever possible, while still providing a destination that affords you all the amenities that you would want to ensure that the time spent at the house is as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

The main floor consists of an open concept floor plan with full kitchen, a living area with a gas fireplace, laundry room, half bathroom, a large fenced in private backyard and deck with a 6 person hot tub that can be used year round, BBQ, and outdoor propane fireplace/heater.

The second floor has three bedrooms; the master is very spacious with a sitting area and features a king size bed. The second room offers a Queen, and the third bedroom offers two twin size beds. It also includes a 4-piece bathroom with soaker tub and a walk in shower.

Approximately 2.5 hours from Toronto and Ottawa, 3.5 hours from Montreal and is located in the heart of Picton, Ontario

Picton provides multiple options for getting around, including, Taxi's, Limo services for wine tours, and bike rentals(Bloomfield).

A Sandbanks Provincial Park Pass is included while staying at the Carriage

An amazing place to stay

This is a fantastic accommodation. The house is beautiful, clean, comfortable & has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The location is also great as there are lots of restaurants you can walk to & lots of stores & wineries nearby. The hot tub is a lovely bonus! We certainly hope to return.

Restful stay

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is beautifully renovated and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook and eat. The patio with hot tub is an added bonus :)

Girls weekend away

The Carriage House was perfect for our girls weekend getaway. The place was as advertised and even nicer! Beds were comfy and the house is well stocked with everything you need. We would definitely stay there again.

Great week in the county

This Carriage House was the best rental we have had in the County over the past 11 years at a fair price and excellent amenities. The kitchen and bedrooms are all well appointed. Great Home

We were on a girls golf getaway. Very convenient location. Close to LCBO and restaurants. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures. Relaxing in the hot tub after golf was an added bonus. We all want to return next year.

Beautiful Home

This home was amazing, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need/want. The beds were comfortable. Both the hot tub and outdoor fire table were lovely. The house is a great location, very close to the main strip in Picton. Overall, I have nothing negative to say, we were very happy with our visit and would 100% recommendation!

Why would you stay anywhere else!!

Our group of five women loved this accommodation. This was my fourth time staying with Cory and Rusty. The house is always spotless. Who doesn't like a hot tub on the deck and always a bottle of wine chilling in the refrigerator for our arrival. Why would you stay anywhere else?

Absolutely perfect!

Charming, cozy, comfortable, exceptionally clean, open concept on main floor felt very spacious for a group. Wonderful blend of modern amenities in kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms while keeping design features of the historic carriage house. Lovely private backyard and patio. Beautiful home

We booked this home for a girls golf getaway. The home was very clean. Very convenient location to restaurants, shopping and LCBO. The hot tub was very relaxing after playing golf. As an added bonus, the host also left a bottle of red wine from a local winery which we enjoyed very much. We are already thinking we should book it again for next June.

Incredible stay

It is such a beautiful, charming home. A nice greeting card and a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival immediately made us feel welcome. This home is equipped with all necessities and more. Practically Perfect

The property was lovely, spotless, well outfitted. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. The hosts were amazingly welcoming and responsive. We suggest they improve the signage that marks the location as it was very difficult to see. Perhaps some shelves inside the closet of the second bedroom for folded clothes. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Great getaway!

Ticks All Boxes

We were very pleased with our stay. It was at the end of a month long trip to New England and we wanted nothing more than the convenience, comfort and privacy that this spacious coach house afforded. The setting was perfect, back in off the street, an easy walk into the town and close to grocery stores. Cori and Rusty were great; not at all intrusive yet we had an interesting chat when we happened to meet in the driveway. I’ve already sent the website to friends with suggestions that we all make this our next stay when we visit The County. It is a beautiful design.

Clean, spacious and quiet

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and very well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised by how large it was! The photos don’t do it justice. It rained during one of the days of our stay, so we were able to take full advantage of the amenities and catch up on our laundry with the included washer and dryer :) My only wish would be to have hooks behind the doors and in the bathrooms to hang our wet bathing suits and towels. A drying rack would also have done the trick. Aside from the lack of hooks, everything was perfect.
