CASA CABALLOS Located On Rancho Danza Del SolOur stay here was great. It was a combination of wonder, exploration and relaxation. The owner, Dirk did a very good job at keeping us informed and answering any questions we had. The rescue dogs that are on site are extremely friendly and will give you lots of healing doggie love! You can pick fresh mangoes and tomatoes from the garden. There is a very laid back feeling to the whole place. It is an amazing place to rest recover and heal. We will be telling all our friends about this place and we will definitely come back to stay!

We have stayed in Toto Santos a total of eight times and this is our favorite so far. While there are several different houses on the property, they aren’t close to each other so you get the feel of being the only one there. Dirk was extremely helpful with recommendations And kindness. We are dog lovers so we became attached to several of the rescue dogs on the property. We will be telling our friends about this place and look forward to return on our next trip.

Amazing Oasis

Rancho Danza del Sol in Todos Santos is an amazing place. Everything was great for us! The place the location the amenities and especially the hospitality by Dirk. We will be back!

Loved being mostly off the grid. Be prepared for the right kind of diy, kind of like visiting a helpful friend who is out of town unexpectedly. Looking forward to going back some day! If you're wanting pool/tennis/etc - best to ask before booking if the season is right for it!

Wonderful

This was our second stay in TS and throughly enjoyed the solitude and peacefulness the ranch offered. La Cachora is such a cool neighborhood with a short walk to a deserted beach. The restaurants nearby were very good and reasonable and fairly priced. There's no question that we'll be back and the tribe of rescue pups on the property are precious.

Quiet and peaceful

A great place to unwind after playing in Todos Santos or nearby. Deysi and the 6 resident dogs take good care of you. White winged doves serenade you all day long. Close to town, groceries and the beach

We love the ranch!!

Dirk provided all necessary information before our arrival along with excellent recommendations! The property is beautiful, dogs are so welcoming, and Casa Cabello was so cozy. 100% will return.

Owners are very kind, helpful and genuine people. They want you to enjoy their paradise, offered suggestions and shared knowledge. My room was just what I needed (bathroom with shower, outdoor kitchen, big bed), private, quiet. WiFi didn’t reach to my room but that was a welcome change for me, settled me into my book and I could walk over to the signal if needed. Other guests were also warm and welcoming when I saw them. The well loved and cared for (9!) dogs were a highlight. Not too far of a drive to town at all.
Big firm bed! Lots of pillows to choose from.
Outdoor wrap around patio with outdoor kitchen.
Lots of big palms, lychee trees and some mangos too.
Just a few of the lovely dogs. I think that’s Cruz, Cocoa and Santos!

A lovely respite

Despite this being a working organic mango ranch, it is beautifully quiet, with doves and other songbirds in the morning, owls in the evening. Walk to a pristine beach, visit with other guests by the pool, enjoy fabulous food all around you nearby. The owner is very responsive and available. The rescue dogs are an integral part of the goings on; each with its own personality and all friendly.

Fun, funky and relaxed

It’s a bit of a time machine and how I envision Mexico of 30 years ago. Visible development pressure throughout the town reflect how unusual Rancho Danza del Sol’s spacious property remains. Dirk is super responsive and his suggestions are spot on.

Oasis in the Baja

Off the beaten road is an oasis of quiet and relaxation under the gentle swaying of palm trees. Casa Caballos is a one room hacienta set in a mango farm surrounded by palm trees and gentle loving rescue dogs who come to keep you company while you read on the porch. There is a gentle breeze that flows through the room with doors on three sides. A big kingsize bed with the best mattress in Todos Santos is the center of the room. We had a very relaxing three days at Cas Caballos.

Perfection

SCORE! Everything about this place made us feel like the luckiest travelers in Baja. The host went over the top to make sure we had all the information needed for a successful stay. Our casa was very clean & supplied with all the thoughtful extras we wanted. The privacy was ideal for relaxing and just a lovely short walk to the beach. We could hear the waves crashing in between the hooting of the owl pair hanging out in the palm groves. The dogs were such a treat to hang with - we absolutely will be back soon!

Todo Santos Getaway

What a great surprise! Our stay exceeded expectations. The hosts, both two and four legged, are awesome. Dirk was available to answer all of our questions. Upon arrival, the "Pup Pack" greeted us with excitement and accompanied us to our casita. Our location on the property was very private and simply designed. We loved it! The firepit just off of our porch was a nice touch and we put it to good use. An absolutely beautiful beach is just a 10 minute walk. As others have mentioned, there are two nearby restaurants, Logan & Logan and La Esquina, that have great food. Given the opportunity, we will definitely return. Thank you, Dirk and canine crew.

Love Casa Caballos! Love dogs! Love Ranch!

We travelled to Mexico from Australia for 2 weeks, I chose this ranch for half our stay and I’m so pleased we did!! This Ranch is a very special place. It was our little paradise to come home to after exploring todos santos town, the beaches, the turtle release at sunset and dining out at the many local restaurants. Logan & Logan, La Esquina and 5 Tacos and a beer were our favorite. To stay at this ranch you need your own car. We felt very safe as a mother and daughter travelling together. I highly recommend for those seeking a truly humbling experience in Todos Santos! There is 6 rescue dogs there at present and we honestly felt a bond with them all. Thank you Dirk, Christina, Deisy and the lovely man (who I kept forgetting his name, sorry!). We will be back xx Lisa & Lou xx

If you love sweet rescue dogs and the people who give them a haven, you delight in hearing and seeing a variety of amazing birds, and you welcome the chance to dwell for a spell among dozens of beautiful lychee, mango, coconut and other tropical trees, this may be the place for you. However, if your idea of rustic includes a clean bathroom, an actual kitchen, consistent electricity, and a place to hang your clothes, this casita may not be for you. Regarding host communication, direct, clear and concise answers were hard to get. Instead, I received a plethora of repetitive, unrequested information and advice rendered with plenty of deflective asides.About WiFi, the host reassured me it was excellent. Come to find out, it’s just available in one location on the property, not at all in the dwelling where I stayed. The misrepresentation turned out to be a considerable inconvenience and yes, there was advice about relying on the internet. I loved the dogs and the natural beauty of the place. I adored the stately palm trees lining the drive into the ranch (though the gate closure and bumps on the road were ridiculous). The bed was comfortable, the water pressure and temperature good. I loved not having to lock or even close my door. I loved knitting beside a criollo mango tree and watching the birds feast on its fallen fruit. Deeply relaxing.

That is totally not fair review. You arrived as an elderly single female into the Ranch at night. Arriving in a rural Mexican town at night and out of kindness. I stayed up late and. I sent you lots of information since you were arriving in the total dark. And you accuse me of giving you a plethora unnecessary information. You sat doing knitting at the house and we’re so content as we checked on you every day with all the rescue doggies hanging out with you. The bathroom is spotless. The kitchen is a cute, small kitchen, and we have had a celebrity che stay there for a week and absolutely love it. There’s nothing we can do about a six hour power outage. to even bring that up shows me the level of your misery I’m sorry for you Blessings

3 Night Turned into One

My wife and we’re staying in Todos Santos for a week and decided to stay at Rancho Danza De La Sol for 3 nights. Our decision to stay here was based on the online listing and communication with the owner. We were generously allowed to arrive early and the drive in was nice. That evening we had a lovely fire in the fire pit next to our casa. After retiring for the night we were woken by several mice with sounds as if they were fighting. They ran along the brick walls and scurried into holes. We tried to sleep but at 6:30 am decided to leave. Without getting into to many details, the property looked like it was once a beautiful place with mature trees, a pool , basketball court, fitness equipment and a tennis court. It appears though to have been left to fall into disrepair and is in need of some tlc. The owner seems to be a lovely person who refunded us for the nights we canceled. He explained the the mouse issue was related to cold temperatures and that guests prior to our stay had left food in the room. I hope the future guests have a more pleasant stay.

Yes, it was unfortunate. there were actually only two little mice that came in. It’s rare.. They were captured the next day. I refunded you all your money immediately and the guest that stayed immediately after you had no visitors and the two guests since then also are loving our Narnia in bliss. They are all absolutely loving it. Problem solved. When you have an organic mango ranch, and the weather turns really cold in end of February like it did for those five days, well, then rarely a mouse will seek refuge. They’re clean little field mouse. Mean no harm. Blowing this up like this and giving us one star is kinda lame And the pool is sparkling clean. And I mean sparkling. Guests are in there today loving it. The pool is gorgeous and paint on one little patch on the bottom has a chlorine stain. Do you understand? It’s a paint discoloration. Nada issue. In summer we will repaint pool just for fun. Saludos dirk

Peaceful place in a lovely location

This is a rustic accommodation, clean and attractive with a comfortable bed and hot running water set in a palm and mango orchard. The wifi is almost non-existent, which was disappointing since we both use the internet for our work and leisure. The solitude was wonderful as Todos Santos can be very noisy at this time of year. We are elderly and the primitive gate to the property was a nuisance. A more conventional gate would make getting in and out easier. We have been to T S many times and were surprised at the enormous development and gentrification. This place is a reminder of the past and is why we were initially attracted to this Pueblo Magico! A restful stay in beautiful surroundings all in all.

This isn’t a resort….

It is much better… relaxing and private. The property is big with 2 other casas on it but you would never know it. We took advantage of the rooftop at night to look at the stars and listen to the sounds of the town…and to have our coffee in the morning and listen to the birds. There are dogs on the property but they kept to themselves by the big house…. There was a cat that adopted us and was very affectionate and at times demanding… A car is a must to get around… but keep in mind driving in Mexico is an adventure in itself. We enjoy the ruggedness of Todos Santos with lots of great restaurants and beaches for miles… This is our second time in Todos Santos and looking forward to coming back again! Thanks Dirk!
