Beautiful guest cabin located on 170 acres! Private lake, views, gourmet kitchen, jacuzzi bathtub, Roku, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, 2 bathrooms, custom cedar sauna, hiking, cross country skiing, biking and more. Located 30 miles west of Hayward and 12 miles northwest of downtown Spooner in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.

This is a 5 star accommodation. You won't be disappointed and a great retreat in every season! In the summer and fall, enjoy the outdoor fire pit, paddle boat, canoe and row boat (with electric motor), swimming raft and trails for walking and biking. In the winter, cosy up with a good book and hot cocoa in front of the gas fireplace or enjoy the custom cedar sauna after snow shoeing or x-country skiing.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove and electric convection oven, and is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes - everything you need to make great meals & an outdoor Weber gas grill. There is a ROKU with YouTube TV and you can log into your favorite streaming accounts (Netflix, Amazon, HBO+, Disney+, etc), plus a DVD player and video library with classic DVDs plus wifi.

You will enjoy privacy and solitude on this 170 acre retreat with rolling hills, trees and private trails. Our comfortable cabin has beautiful hardwood floors and ceilings, maple cabinetry, natural tilework & a gas fireplace with beautiful views of nature from the open plan living space. You almost feel as if you are in a tree house.

Families or active couples will be comfortably accommodated in this cabin. Our location offers you a secluded Northwoods feel that is still close to both Spooner and Hayward and all that the area has to offer. Note - we allow 1 well behaved dog. There is a dog living on the property and friends and family may visit with their dogs. We ask your pup be leashed when right outside the guest house or when walking past the main house.

Long winter’s Nap

My wife and I both work and have grown kids that weren’t around for the holidays. We decided we needed a quiet getaway to relax, hangout, and just enjoy reach other’s company. This cabin fit the bill perfectly. Great spot in the north woods of Wisconsin.

Rustic Treehouse

Rental is as described, clean, beautiful, comfortable. Home is set back a bit in the woods on a private driveway which in my opinion is ideal for privacy and overall tranquility and enjoyment. Private lake with a row boat. Lake has bass and bluegill in it. We stayed when the fall leaves were changing and it was a site to remember. Owners are kind and communicative. We will definitely be booking again.

A wonderful and relaxing experience

This is the second time we stayed at this cabin. We have always enjoyed the beauty of this location. The setting is quite and peaceful. We enjoyed the great fishing, and use of the aluminium boat with the electric motor. We plan to return in the future. The host was always available if we had questions or for any problems that we might have, which we had none. Thanks for the great stay.

Another Great Vacation

We've lost track of how many years we have stayed at this property. Each years are new memories made. We had wonderful weather and a fun and relaxing time. The lake is wonderful for kayaking and fishing. Spending time in nature is refreshing and the time went too fast. We look forward to more vacations here!

Peaceful getaway

Really lovely property next to a lovely lake. Property owner was really responsive whenever there was any issue, the kitchen was great to cook in, and the beds were really comfortable. We canoed around the lake, and it was a great way to finish up a great day. The rest of the area has a couple of cute towns, nice restaurants, and it's a fun, relaxing weekend.

Great stay !

Beautiful 2nd floor guest house ! Perch Lake was still, quiet and spectacular fall foliage. Owners, Brenda and Heidi were very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed a bike ride to Big Mckenzie lake and visit to Spooner. House was very nicely designed and appointed. The sauna and shower on lower level is very nice and welcomer on a cool day. Stairs up to the 2nd floor are steep and easy to misstep. railing should be routed for a safer hand grip. We would like tot come again and have already recommended the guest house to friends. Thanks, a lot. !

Wonderful Stress Reliever

This property was just what the "doctor" ordered after a stressful year of dealing with the health issues of our elderly cats and the death of one of them. I loved the view from the deck and enjoyed reading and drinking coffee at the kitchen counter every morning. We took the hike around the lake and enjoyed that as well. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. A word of warning for elderly people who might be contemplating a stay. There are about 16 steep steps to the kitchen upon entering thru the front entrance. You can also enter via the deck side which is a little easier to climb, but that door needs to be unlocked first. Also, it might not be clear to guests that the entrance to the sauna and 2nd bathroom is thru the garage or via an outside door. I mistakenly thought you could use the 2nd bathroom directly from the main cabin area without having to go thru the garage or go outside. The hosts respected our privacy and also were very responsive to a problem we had with a broken seat on the canoe. It was fixed immediately. A good hiking spot near Spooner is the Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary. Also, we recommend the Trego Nature Nature Trail along the Namekagon River. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
