House is amazing, view is beautiful, Carolyn the host is very friendly and helpful. This was our first trip to Montana, but would definitely come back just to stay here

A very beautiful and tranquil location. We traded time catching trout in the river with relaxing in the hot tub. Beautiful drive into the park. Even saw a grizzly on the way there. House itself has everything you need. This is our second booking there and we will do it again.

Beautiful property right on the Gallatin River. We had 6 people (4 adults & 2 kids) and all comfortably slept upstairs. There was still room for 8 downstairs. The location was perfect for us. Yellowstone West gate was less than an hour drive. Ziplining was 20ish minutes, ATV/UTV riding about 1/3 mile from house. Horseback riding nearby with plenty of other riding options available if they are booked up. Bozeman was about an hour away. The museum of the rockies was great. Now we are back home and need some rest from our vacation. We had a blast and did something every day so the hot tub was a blessing in the evening.

Beautiful, relaxing location. House is very cozy with two lovely fire places, and loved the hot tub by the river. Kitchen is well stocked. Location is great with nearby fishing, hiking, skiing, restaurants. House was an excellent place to hang out with family and friends.

I loved seeing your two motorcycles on the trailer behind your truck. I knew you would head up Buck Ridge for some awesome views. It's a real plus having the trail head so near our guesthouse. Looking forward to your return.

What a great place for a family vacation. Access to fly fishing couldn’t be better as the property is located directly on the Gallatin River. Proximity to Big Sky is excellent .West entrance to Yellowstone is reachable as well. Terry and Carolyn were great hosts . They were there for us if we needed them. Looking to go back again next year ! Highly recommend this guest cottage.

Our favorite place to stay anywhere

We have stayed here 5 or 6 times and always relax and cherish the stay. Super comfortable, right next to the river and very spacious. We love the hot tub and back deck. High quality bedding and everything needed to make a good meal. Very nice hosts. You can not go wrong by staying here!

Amazing property

The Guesthouse is a gem! Location is perfect for all activities we did and the accommodations were just as advertised. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the deck and hot tub as well. Carolyn and Terry were very gracious hosts as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful home

We stay in the Big Sky area every year and this was our favorite place. The guest house was beyond our expectations. It was private and right on the Gallatin River. The home was clean and inviting. Very spacious, lots of room, incredibly clean. Close enough to Big Sky, without the traffic it can sometimes have. We very much enjoyed our stay. Bed in the master bedroom was super comfortable. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. Terry and Carolyne were perfect hosts.

Exceeded our expectations!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the O’Neill guest house… from the location, house amenities, host hospitality and communication, etc. etc. All was perfect. The only bad part was that we had to leave :)

Our third stay at this awesome house

Everything about this house is great. Comfy beds, nice dining table to gather at, and a great living room with woodstove for end of day. Great, spotless hot tub made for some incredible stargazing. Carolyn and Terry are the most awesome hosts on all of VRBO. I could go on and on.................

True Montana experience

This house is perfect both inside and outside. We loved the outdoor sitting area and had our suppers out next to the Gallatin River. They have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beautiful home, beautiful location, awesome hosts!

My family of 4 brought along the grandparents and we all had a wonderful time enjoying this home, it as perfect! We had many fun nights around the dining room table playing cards and it was even cool enough to have a fire one night, what a treat! We loved the river out back, my boys spent hours building boats out of sticks and leaves and letting them "set sail" while my husband fished in the river every day! We loved the deck, bbq, and coffee and wine while listening to the sounds of the river. Carolyn and Terri where delightful hosts and were so wonderful answering our questions, it was a pleasure meeting them and staying at their beautiful home. We hope to come back soon!

Lovely winter haven

Our family of 6 came over the Christmas holidays and spent our time downhill skiing at Big Sky (20 min drive from the house), miles of beautiful cross country skiing at Lone Mountain Ranch, hiking, and one day of snowmobiling in Yellowstone (50 min drive). On a rest day we drove into Bozeman to shop, see a movie and go to the indoor climbing gym. So much to do. The house is nicely situated off the road so you have a feeling of privacy and seclusion, and the back deck is right on the Gallatin River. Hot tub on the deck is fantastic: gentle snowfall on your head or millions of stars on a clear night. The house is spacious and clean, love the Montana decor. Has everything you need for a fabulous family vacation.

You were sure packing in a lot of activities while in Big Sky. It's good you saved some time for one the favorite things to do at the ONeill Guesthouse...sit in the spa on a star-filled night and relax. Lots of snow made for great skiing and snowmobiling but a day off visiting Bozeman was a nice break. Many visitors come to Big Sky but never take the time to go to Bozeman. They sadly miss a cute Montana town!! I would like to thank you for leaving the guesthouse so clean. I always try to thank our special guests that treat our place like home. Hope to see you again.

Absolutely Perfect!

We can't say enough about this property! It is a lovely guest house that is well supplied with everything you may need or want. The location is also perfect!!! It was so comfortable and we loved listening to the Gallatin River as we drifted off to sleep each night. The Gallatin is just feet away off the beautiful deck and we enjoyed sitting there each evening...watching the water and looking for wildlife. We love fly fishing and were able to catch and release some nice trout right in this spot! The icing on the cake was that the Hosts, Terry & Carolyn, were so welcoming, informative and helpful. We spent just a short amount of time with them and left feeling like we have new friends. We are so appreciative that they shared their piece of paradise with us!

Wonderful

Great place to explore all the amazing experiences Big Sky and West Yellowstone offers! The home is spread out and our family of three generations had more than enough space to unwind without bumping into each other, The grandkids loved playing in the snow and all the adults fell in love with the beauty of Montana. The kitchen had everything you could need and we loved dining in a couple times in front of the fire and sharing our days of fun and adventure. The hosts were more than accommodating and when asked about sledding for the grandkids delivered some sleds within a few minutes ....wow is all we can say! Can't wait to return!!! Fabulous property

Our party consisted of 4 adults. We arrived June 4, 2017 staying for 6 days at this special home. The home is spacious and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the deck with our coffee in the morning and then in the hot tub in the evening - both with the sound of the Gallatin River as it flowed by. It doesn't get any better! Carolyn and Terry's attention to detail is reflected in all aspects of the house. They responded immediately to any question we had. We booked a full day tour of Yellowstone and took the lift tour to the top of Lone Mountain as well as some short driving trips to check out the wildlife. It is the perfect spot to experience the grandeur of the Big Sky area. We would definitely recommend this property.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Terry and I were on our way to Yellowstone National Park when we spent the night in Big Sky, Montana. Needless to say, the next day was a glorious July day and we immediately fell in love with Big Sky. After extending our stay another 4 days, we began planning our next trip to Montana to ski Lone Mountain. That January we knew it had won our hearts and we began our search for the perfect property. In 1991 we purchased our thirteen acre paradise on the Gallatin River. It was the best decision we have ever made!!
