Journey through time to Bessie’s Landing in Jefferson, Texas. This charming cottage is located in the City’s Historic District and is ideally suited for a weekend get-a-way or long-term stay. The cottage has 2 bedrooms (sleeps 3), 1 bathroom, private entrance, WiFi, and includes a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer and a beautifully decorated living area. Bessie's Landing is a 2 ½ hour drive from Dallas and an hour drive from Shreveport. Adjacent to the cottage is the main house which was built in 1857 and Guests are welcome to tour. Most attractions are within walking distance and include:

The best stay ever. Ken was very attentive with our questions. Felt like home. You will want for anything. Visit from the fur babies (Mira & Shadow) was a plus for me as an snimal lover. Will definately stay here again. Highly recommend.

An outstanding stay! We were sooo comfortable! We were welcomed along with our dog! The Casa had all sorts of “goodies” for breakfast and snacks. Very clean and comfortable stay! Great information about things to do in the surroundings. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful and we hope to be able to stay the next time we visit!

This property surpassed all expectations! Elaine was quick to respond to any questions. It was clean, great location, and well stocked (including breakfast food and snacks!)I highly recommend Bessie’s Landing.

This was a great stay. The host lives on the same property, so was able to greet us when we arrived. We loved the house and the ability to walk into downtown (10-15 minutes). We were surprised that the refrigerator, pantry, and wine rack were stocked with items available for our use. We had planned to grab some items from the grocery store (a block away), but did not need to. We had no issues during the stay, but if there had been any, I am sure our host would have dealt with them immediately.

Nothing but good things to say about this adorable cottage. The Hosts were so great! The fridge was stocked with everything we could have wanted….the decor was delightful and the location was perfect, if you want to enjoy Jefferson and all it has to see and do But, if your wanting to relax, sitting on the porch listening to the waterfall and enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine is perfection! We will come again!

The hosts offered a wonderful place to stay. Bessie's Landing was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. It was also walking distance to downtown shops, the local grocery store, and a number of Jefferson's many historic homes.

We had a great time staying at the cottage. Elaine was a very gracious and courteous host. She made us feel right at home. The cottage was very cozy and close to downtown. So,it made site seeing and shopping very convenient. We will definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bessie's Landing. The cottage is located perfectly to be able to walk to the local eateries and attractions. The details made it a special way to celebrate our anniversary. The front porch was the perfect place to enjoy a cup or two of morning coffee. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. And the well stocked refrigerator, complete with drinks and snacks was a welcomed treat after traveling or out shopping.We've been coming to Jefferson every few years since 1979; it's the perfect getaway from the Metroplex. We try to stay someplace new each time, just to have varied experiences. I suspect we'll be coming back here again next time, though, just because it has so much to offer.Hats off to our host, and the great little oasis they have created. We heavily recommend it.

Loved my stay at Bessie's Landing. Elaine and her husband are outstanding hosts. Enjoyed our visits. The cottage is lovely, fully stocked with whatever you may need, super clean, comfortable, and close to everything. Highly recommend and will book again!
