The Buckhorn Baptist Church had this story-and-a-jump frame house built around 1880 to house its minister. The house’s understated decorative features include a front gable with simple ornament, diamond shaped louvered vents in the end gables of the triple-A roof and corbeled and paneled brick chimneys. Tapered posts with molded caps are featured on the front porch. The house has weatherboard siding and a front entry with sidelights. Four bedrooms and two and half baths, great room with wood stove, eat-in kitchen, laundry room, screened back porch, and patio provide our visitors with plenty of room to relax. Comfortably sleeps eight in the main house and two in the cottage. Fully equipped updated farmhouse style kitchen includes range, refrigerator, dishwasher and eat-in area for four.
