Hawthorn Coach House

The coach house is a quiet, bright and new studio nestled amongst the trees, with a garden and forest setting in Halfmoon Bay. With a peak-a-boo ocean view and a private entrance, this fully equipped studio is yours to reduce the distractions of a busy life. Surrounded by the forest you can relax outdoors with your morning coffee in the garden sun.

The coach has a fully covered porch to rest and enjoy the outdoors whether it's the evening sun or the sounds of the rain. The grounds are well treed with access to a common area to enjoy coffee in the morning sun. A winding trail is available to access the Sunshine Coast Regional District public bike and walking trails at the back of the property.

With a private entrance you can come and go with ease. Parking is onsite at the foot of the driveway.

Hawthorn Coach House was as advertised. I very much appreciated the quiet neighborhood and close proximity to Sechelt. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Next time.

Great place to stay for couples. Clean and cozy. Both Rob n Dave are kind, accommodating and have great knowledge of the area. Amazing hosts. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

The property is bright, quiet, comfortable and located on a beautiful property. It has everything you need to stay a few nights or longer.Rob and David are incredibly gracious and welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. They are also a wealth of knowledge about the area. We are already figuring out when we can get back.

Short stay at Hawthorn Coach House

I stayed at the Coach House for two nights end of June 2024. The space is gorgeous, quiet and full of light. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed hiking at Smuggler Cove and a massage at a spa nearby. Would go again.

Lovely getaway spot

Lovely hosts and peaceful spot. Great value for the $. Worth noting that this is a studio space with no separating walls. The bed is in the living space which wasn't clear to us from the listing and a bit of a surprise and not really what we wanted. The tiny shower was also a bit of a struggle. Overall pleasant stay if you know what to expect.

Nice, quiet getaway

This place is a nice, quiet getaway. It's in Halfmoon Bay so it's perfect if you want to explore the coast from one end to another, as it's right in the middle between Skookumchuck and Gibsons. You'll be staying in a house that's close but separate from the hosts' main house. It's really clean and spacious. The kitchen is nice and big with lots of counter space. The house is obviously quite new. The hosts, David and Rob, were very friendly and had lots of good recommendations on places to eat, etc. I would recommend this place to others for sure.

Welcoming and well appointed

Rob and David are warm and friendly hosts and the suite is modern and comfortable. We also appreciated the excellent access to trails for walking and cycling and the ability to walk to a nearby beach.

Clean, comfortable and convenient

We wanted somewhere to stay near friends forThanksgiving. The Coach House was perfect! It was cozy and had everything that we needed and the owners were very helpful. Nice location for looking round the area as well, Would definitely come back.

We enjoy meeting new people and enjoy stories and adventures. Our interest in the coast is every changing and we attribute this to all the guests that have shared their sometimes quiet and outrageous days discovering the hidden coastal gems.

We spend lots of quiet time in the garden and with our hounds and the coast is a perfect setting for both.

This property is set midway up the coast 10 minutes north of Sechelt.
It is a great launch pad for hiking, biking and enjoying the Salish sea.

Quiet and nestled in between a well treed garden setting, it's an ideal spot to recharge.

Property backs on to a network of walking and bike trails, including beach access which is a meandering 10 minutes away.
