Don't miss out on this dream of a vacation cabin!! Enjoy the seclusion of a creekside mountain retreat in this 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin with private hot tub.
The property borders the beautiful Nantahala National Forest of the Great Smoky Mountains and offers an abundance of exploration. Let the sounds of the rushing waters soothe your soul day and night. Walk across our bridge to enjoy bonfires or even pitch a tent for the night on our property across the river which is lit by festive cafe lights strung around the campfire. Hike through the Nantahala National Forest right out the backdoor. Or if you prefer the creature comforts, enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, comfortable new beds (King and Queen), new gas logs in our stone fireplace, Wi-Fi, large flat screen TV in the den and another in the King Bedroom with Dish Programming. Read a book or just gaze at the river from the sunroom/sleep porch with its comfortable oversized chairs and sofa which opens into a queen sleeper sofa. Enjoy family dining at the large dining table beautifully made of reclaimed barnwood.

Conveniently located on the Wayah Road section of Mountain Waters Scenic Byway, a paved road, the home is easily accessible even during inclement weather. We're just far enough out of downtown Franklin (8 miles) to be secluded yet we're directly on the way to Wayah Bald, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Lake Nantahala and The Appalachian Trail. Franklin/Macon County has 16 local water falls, world renown gem mining, and numerous biking and hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail and Bartram Trail. Grocery shopping and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away. A quick 15 minutes to downtown Franklin you'll find antique shops, local crafts, restaurants, entertainment and two locally owned Micro Brewery Pubs. Adventures are abundant in every direction - or you may choose to never leave once you've arrived!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin! Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The cabin was beautiful, cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.Our favorite part was the creek — it was absolutely amazing! The sound of the water, the beautiful surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere made the whole experience even more special. It was the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and enjoy nature.We truly loved our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful escape surrounded by nature!

My brother, sister in law and I really enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cabin by the water!! My sister in law named it the Babbling Brook!! It was just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing getaway from our extreme Southwest Georgia heat and humidity. We rode railcars, we hiked to the waterfall at Rufus Morgan and enjoyed Lake Nantahala!!! We went to the Georgia Mountain Fair in Hiawassee. We visited my sister in laws Uncle and Aunt in Dillard, Georgia. We visited my friend Brenda who owns Haywood Smokehouse BBQ (amazing brisket);and Horse Feathers clothing and decor store and all of the other meat shops in Dillsboro, N.C. We also went antiquing and thrifting!!! The cabin is the perfect home away from home with everything needed for the perfect vacation!!

We highly recommend this Creekside cabin! Our family had an incredibly relaxing stay and loved all the amenities, especially the peaceful creek, the hot tub, fire pit, and the convenient location close to so many beautiful hiking trails.Our favorite adventure was hiking to Rufus Morgan Falls, and the panoramic views from Wayah Bald were absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect combination of outdoor adventure and peaceful mountain relaxation.The cabin was comfortable, well-equipped, and made a wonderful home base for exploring the Franklin area. Kathy was super easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again!

I cannot tell you how much my little family enjoyed this cabin by the stream. The cabin itself was perfect and had everything we needed, but the property was just amazing for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and my son says that he can’t wait to rent this cabin again and again.

We had an amazing stay. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was very clean with a warm and cozy environment. We enjoyed that we could hear the stream while we were sleeping. Would definitely rate this stay 10/10 and were already talking about booking it again in August.

Our second stay at this lovely home on a pretty creek. Well-stocked kitchen and extremely comfy furniture and beds. Clean hot tub overlooking creek. Kids loved the giant tv that connected to their favorite streaming services. Multiple outdoor spots including creekside fire pit to enjoy coffee/wine. Sparkling clean interior and exterior. Wayah Road is one of the prettiest drives in WNC. Farmland, lush forest, Mountain views at Wayah Bald, great waterfall hike minutes away on Rufus Morgan trail. Host is so kind and excels at customer service. Very responsive to any issues.

This was a neat little place on the river! The host was very welcoming and had a list of nearby things to do as well. I found it very odd having to take our trash to the dump ourselves, but we made it happen though. Wouldn’t mind coming back and staying here again.

Hello, thanks for viewing our property! We bought this home in 2016 because we loved the location on the stream and the fact it is always 10 degrees cooler here than in downtown Franklin! We live a large part of the time in Georgia where summertime heat is inescapable and the Fall leaves are never quite as spectacular. We decided in June of 2017 to share what we think is a wonderful mountain retreat with others. We hope you love it as much as we do! We have another home 3 doors down if you need more space, VRBO #7935707 as well as another 11 miles away on Lake Nantahala, VRBO # 9453752. Additionally we have 2 vacation homes in the Florida Keys (VRBO #1027392 and VRBO # 2413494) and another on a beautiful lake in Central Florida, VRBO #1090075.
We take pride in offering guests immaculate surroundings with tasteful decor and all the creature comforts of home.
