We had a wonderful stay here with our dog. The place was very clean and tidy and we found it cosy with the fire on during the rain. Would definitely consider returning if we come back near Keswick area!

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at the cottage. Such a beautiful and great location for exploring the northern lakes and perfect for us with our dog. Would recommend.

Beautiful cottage set on a breathtaking farm in the Northern Fells of the Lake District, with Skiddaw directly behind and walking trails accessible right from the farm. Keswick is only about 10 minutes away. Matthew is a wonderful host - thank you for sharing this special place with others!

I have just spent a wonderful 2 nights in the cottage on the farm and what a beautiful place it is! It is on a working farm, but so clean almost immaculate and so cosy! I loved it and would recommend to anyone. Just a little advisory, takes the essentials with you like shower gel, bread and butter etc, and you will have a perfect stay x

Cottage on the Farm is lovely, cosy & very well equipped. We managed to coordinate our stay with Storms Austen & Boelo so can also vouch for the comfy sofa! Matthew very kindly popped round with a torch, water and candles just in case we lost power. Thankfully we didn’t for any length of time. Would definitely stay again & hopefully actually see more of the lakes!

This is a very charming cottage on a working farm so you will hear farm noises. The animals are very friendly, especially the cat and sheepdog

Cute cosy warm cottage with everything we needed. Very quick responses from Matthew, who was happy to help. Special thanks for jet washing the car for us. We’ll be back.

Amazing little cottage on a beautiful working farm. Lots of animals, and machinery around but lovely and quiet in the evenings. Close enough to places like Keswick but far enough away to feel like you are away from everything. Local pub a couple of miles away so easy enough to walk to and a great walking route up Skiddaw straight from the cottage

This was a beautiful place, nicely equipped and we were lucky enough to see a lamb being born. It is a working farm and the host was very accommodating. It was a nice overall experience!

A wonderful , rural escape . Matthew met us as we arrived and had been excellent with communication after booking . The cottage is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean in an ideal location for exploring the north lakes or spending time in the fields . We will definitely be returning !

Lovely well equipped cottage situated in a picturesque area. Great base for walks and visiting local lakes & Keswick. Matt our host was very welcoming and we enjoyed being able to wander around his farm. Really enjoyed our stay!

This is our third stay at the host's tranquil, cosy and very lovely cottage - which has beautiful surroundings and fantastic views. It's also a great base to discover Bassenthwaite and Keswick, and the wider areas in the Lake District. The host/Matt and his family are really friendly and helpful, as well. Thank you so much.

Brilliant short stay

Matthew's place was ideal for my husband and our lads who stayed for two nights to extend a holiday. It's a lovely place off the beaten track and Matthew is very helpful and accommodating.
