Only Minutes from the Ocean- Modern & Clean. Enjoy Grilling on the Deck.

Whether you would like to come visit for a one week getaway, or for a month, we will be happy to accommodate you in our carriage house. We can sleep up to 4 guests with our 2 bedroom, central air conditioned, carriage house.
We have two carriage houses to choose from now, as we are just making this property available for the summer season.
Our other property, also located on the same property can be viewed here: https://www.vrbo.com/571827 . Please check the reviews from past guests on the listing, all 5 star. We are very proud and happy about that.
The beach is less than a mile away, whether your stroll, bicycle or drive. The parking is free at the beach, and enough parking at our property for 4 cars.
There is a deck to sit out or dine on. We provide a gas grille to cook on as well.
If cooking is your thing, a fully equipped kitchen is here for you with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans, cutlery, plates, glassware etc. We offer a home away from home!
Also included is a stackable washer/dryer, linens, towels etc. Everything except beach towels- those you must provide for yourselves.
Our area is beautiful. Great restaurants, a wonderful Irish pub just a two minute walk away, plenty of reasonably priced golf courses to choose from, many charter and party boats to go out fishing on the ocean, only 2 miles down the road at the Shark River Marina. Fresh seafood is served at a number of excellent restaurants, or any other type of restaurant you desire is nearby.
We have plenty of flower beds here, and there is always something blooming in spring, summer and fall!
We can provide a couple of beach bikes if you are not bringing your own. Let us know ahead of time.

Experience

Location is perfect. Carriage house is good size and communication with property owners was good, but disappointed with cleanliness. The floors were not clean. There was so much dust and pet hair in the carpets and mattress/bed frame. There was mold all over the shower curtain (pictures taken) and ants on floor.

Spring Lake 2023

Very clean, very fast correspondence and reply with owners. Close to a delicious cafe, adjacent to the property. Hoffmans ice cream, a staple in Spring lake was in a short walking distance away, St Stephens Publick house was 2 short blocks away and food and irish entertainment was exceptional. Under a mile to the beach,bikes were provided and used. Ubered to other fun restaurants and spring lake shopping, all under 4 miles of home. I had a wonderful time and would recommend this home to all.

Spring Lake

Lovely little carriage house! Ken and Pat were excellent and helpful hosts. They live nearby and were very accommodating! The house is simple and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Appreciated that there was already a good supply of TP, paper towels, dish soap and laundry soap. Nice TV, good hot water, pretty little porch. Loved being walking distance to Hoffmans Ice Cream and Marigold Cafe. Enjoyed riding bikes to the boardwalk. We look forward to visiting again!

Nice people, nice place

A nice carriage house, as advertised. The owners greeted us warmly and were lovely people. And the town is beautiful. Comfortable bed, nice sheets, plenty of towels. A couple of downsides: The railroad track across the street had trains blowing their horns late at night, and there were early morning deliveries in the parking lot nearby. Somewhat antiquated plumbing. All in all, we had a lovely week there.

Great location, lovely hosts

We enjoyed our stay! We were in town for a sports event and decided to add a few days for the beach and sightseeing. Our hosts were kind and helpful, recommending restaurants and helping us navigate the area, and seeing us off with a lovely bouquet of hydrangeas. The rental is light and airy and comfortable with everything we needed. The location was perfect, easy access to the beach, remarkably quiet and private. My kids especially appreciated borrowing the boogie boards, they had so much fun. A great little spot! Thank you!!!

Wonderful vacation rental

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Spring Lake. Pat and Ken are wonderful hosts. I asked for an extra bike and they were happy to accommodate me. I had a very peaceful beach bum vacation.

couldn't find better hosts

On the second day of my vacation my iPhone stopped working and I accidentally slashed a front tire while driving. Ken drove me to Verizon and stayed with me while they looked at and fixed my phone. He also completely took care of my tire, insisting I not miss a day at the beach!! He called for emergency road service to put my spare tire on, he called tire stores to find one that could have my tire in stock that day. Then he drove and picked up the tire and drove my car to the gas station have it put-on !!!!!! Unbelievable. instead of losing a day of vacation I had a wonderful day at the gorgeous Spring Lake beach.On a separate note, Pat offered to take a letter to the mail for me as well as offered to pick up vegetable and fruit for me at the farmstand when she was going! In addition, the 2 bedroom apartment is a wonderful, comfortable, nicely furnished, fully equipped 2 br apartment with very nice deck outside. You will be very happy here if you choose their apartment.

Perfect Spring Lake Getaway

Ken and Pat’s place was perfect for our quick getaway to the shore! The carriage house is exactly as described- clean, cool, and convenient to all things Spring Lake. Hope to be back again next year!

Quick Stay Down the Shore

Ken and Pat were excellent hosts! Their genuine friendliness made us feel welcome for our weekend in Spring Lake. They were accommodating with directions, recommendations, and were quick to answer any questions we had about the property. When you’re out at the beach all day, it’s a fine place to lay your head. Would recommend a few updates to the carriage house to allow a more comfortable stay, say if one wanted to spend more time inside. Thank you for treating us well!

Exactly what we needed

This was a great location. With great hosts. We were in the area for the holiday weekend. This property is in a great location and a quick drive to bars, restaurants, and beaches. Ken was a great host and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded Expectations!

Well, our stay was absolutely the best. Carriage house is even better than photos suggest. Super clean, stocked with everything you will need, easily accessible from road, offering great privacy, and great proximity to beach. My family (2 adults; 2 kids) was super comfortable here. Pat and Ken, always immediately responsive and on top of our needs, went above and beyond to make our stay fun, relaxing, and overall wonderful. Spring Lake is quiet and relaxing yet super close to so many other beach towns on the shore, if you choose to venture further away. Great restaurants and all conveniences nearby. Nothing in our experience has been better for the value. Book it!

Simple place near spring lake

Small and simple place near the beach. We drive to Manasquan, Asbury Park, Belmar for meals and straight to spring lake for beach time. Location was good for all this. Place was clean. We didn’t do much more than sleep there, and get ice cream across the street!

Terrific in every way!

Could not have asked for a better experience. Owners are so nice and attentive to all details. The apartment is clean and attractive. Location is just a pleasant walk to the beach.

Great location, perfect weekend

We had a perfect weekend at this carriage home. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants a weekend getaway! Ken and Patricia were very sweet and were easy to contact if needed. Perfect location as well.

Great place for a family and fantastic hosts!

We stayed at the carriage house for a family vacation on the Shore and could not have been happier with the choice. Great location with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby. The hosts are wonderful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay at the shore

The place was great, everything we needed for four people. Grill, air conditioning, deck, and close to everything in Belmar and Spring Lake. The beach is about a 5 minute drive, made for a nice Saturday morning.

Lovely weekend getaway

The house is a perfect spot for a family or a few friends to spend the weekend together! The owners were very helpful and easy to reach whenever we had questions. Close to the beach and within a block of a great pub and ice cream shop. The outdoor gas grill was a bonus- we love to cook. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful stay - lovely host and better than pictures suggest

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the carriage house is great - a beautiful 10-15 minute walk from the beach. The home is very comfortable and lovelier than the pictures suggest. We loved spending our evenings on the deck and we grilled up a feast. We can’t say enough about Ken - he is a superb host, so helpful and funny! The gas bottle on the bbq needed changing and he came over in a flash. He then had us all in stitches with his anecdotes - he really is a gem. This place is amazing value in a gorgeous destination on the Jersey Shore - please don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed!

The house was a great spot to stay for me and my girlfriend, along with 2 other friends. Ken and Pat made sure the house was clean before we arrived and had everything ready for us. They even let us check in a few hours early after we told them we were in the area. I highly recommend staying with Ken and Pat!

Our area is very unique for visitors. Spring Lake has a charm all its own. There are 3 lakes in the town. The architecture is spectacular ,with beautiful Victorian homes going back many decades, built over time,as the town grew into a beachside paradise. The beach is clean, beautiful and open to the public. There is a 2 mile boardwalk that goes from one end of the town to the other. It is built through the sand dunes and grasses with 2 saltwater swimming pools, one at each end. They could have filmed the movie 'It's a Wonderful Life' here.
