The house was great - conveniently located and perfect for the needs of our family. I particularly liked the abundance of toys, games and books for entertaining the kids. Unfortunately there was no hot tub but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Spacious with a true homely feel. Initial access was the only snag as the host only shared the property postcode, not the house number. So on arrival we didn't know which door to try! While on the phone to Vrbo helpline a neighbour took pity on us unbolting the rear gate to reveal the key safe. Apparently this wasn't the first time she had had to come to the rescue.

Hi Chris, there seems to be some confusion as the neighbour was me the host who checked you in. Also the check in details are provided by VRBO. I was disappointed by the state of the property once you left and it had to be deep cleaned

The description on Vrbo states the property has a Hot Tub and a picture is shown in the gallery. This is false.

The hot tubs are attached to a Center Parcs Aqua Spa which offers spa days 1 mile from the house, a lot of my guests go for evening spa’s there. Seems very unfair to give me such a low rating based on that

Lovely stay in Warminster while we completed on our house purchase. Lovely clean house with a very good layout and good connections into Warminster.

A brilliant child friendly home.

We had a lovely short break in this beautiful home, we loved all the animal references. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and lots of toys which kept our daughter occupied. Short walk into town and very well located for Longleat and Bath.

Brilliant Place to Stay!

We all thought the house was beautiful, the lounge in particular is so serene and peacefully decorated, very relaxing. We all had plenty of room and the area was so quiet. The kitchen was amazingly large and it was an added bonus to get allocated parking. We had an excellent experience....hopefully see you next year!

Perfect family home!

The house was ideal for our family. We wanted for nothing for our 1 year old daughter and felt completely comfortable. We will definitely be booking again in the future!

Fantastic

The property is gorgeous. A fully stocked kitchen, beautiful decor, and child friendly. Nestled away in a quiet little neighborhood. We really enjoyed this place and easily would have stayed longer had time allowed. The host was fantastic! Highly recommend staying here if your looking to get out of London and see the countryside!

Life's a Beech

I had family visiting from Australia, and this wonderfully presented, spacious and historic property was the ideal base to show them the delights of our picturesque corner of Wiltshire (Longleat, Stonehenge etc..) and beyond. Highly recommended.

A Gem

A great stay in a convenient location for myself, wife, and two adult children. Home was easy to find and spotlessly clean. The facilities included two bathrooms (one had a bath but no shower) as well as fast WiFi and a good-sized TV. Communication with the host was always incredibly fast and I even messed up the payment schedule and they were understanding. There are a number of items in the house that are geared towards younger children which I can imagine would be well received. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Beeches

The property was extremely clean and spacious downstairs. The lounge had a large toy corner which was wonderful for our 3 year old grandson. Upstairs was lovely but bedrooms were a bit cramped. Being winter we all had large warm jackets and it would have been useful to have a coat stand or hooks in the hall. We had to drape them over the kitchen chairs. Overall a very pleasant property.

Misleading zero host response

New Year booking for 1 month . Cited as historic country house near Longleat which is in fact in the middle of housing estate , windows with blinds all necessary as property totally overlooked.Insufficient heating for winter with no double glazing , some radiators not working. We tried extensively to communicate with host with no response . In the end we had to appeal to VRBO to assist as we could no longer stay. They did offer assistance and invited us to rebook as they could also not ctc host. It got worse, under VRBO “book with confidence guarantee” whilst agreeing and being guided by VRBO support on recovery bookings this resulted in us spending a further £2500 of which they only covered 50% which after exhaustive communication they also took a further 4 months to pay after 4 follow up calls. Summary ? It was all about the money and process not about the customer especially with the mystery host Sobering experience only just over late May.

Unfortunately Ian booked and stayed in my home as he did not want to use his own home returning back with a contagious tropical disease from a cruise excursion. Consequently I had to hire a specialist cleaning team to disinfect the house as I had families and you get members staying. Ian spent the whole stay harassing and trying to engage in money laundering activity. I was very concerned from a safe guarding perspective, I would highly not recommend this guest and would advise against any other hosts to engage with him.

The house was spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and everything was clean. The owner responded to messages beforehand. The location was perfect for visiting Longleat. However, there were a few things that weren't to our expectations. The floorboards were very creaky, meaning that we all got woken up anytime anyone went to the toilet in the night. The bath does not have a shower attachment so it eas a bit of a rush in the mornings as we had 5 people waiting to use 1 shower. The plug sockets were in awkward positions in the rooms, so when we were charging our phones we weren't able to have them on bedside tables. Mirrors also did not seem to be near plug sockets, making it difficult when drying hair etc. The rug on the landing was quite unsafe, as it had curled upwards at the sides and some of our party nearly tripped over it a few times, resulting in us having to roll it up and move it. The thing that disgruntled us most though was the fact that in the list of amenties for the property on both expedia and vrbo, it states there is a hot tub, which there is not. This is really misleading as on the photos, there are photographs of hot tubs which, when we queried this with the owner, we were told were actually at Centreparcs aqua sana spa. We only found this out a few days beforehand, whereas if we had have known from the start we probably would have just paid that bit extra to stay at centreparcs for the weekend. This needs updating on the sites.

Séjour très agréable

Nous avons séjourné à 4 avec 2 grands adolescents. La maison est très claire et joliment décorée. L'environnement est très calme. La cuisine est spacieuse et bien équipée (notamment grand frigo et congélateur, lave-vaisselle, lave-linge séchant, bouilloire, cafetière Nespresso, micro-ondes). Nous avons apprécié d'avoir 3 chambres et 2 salles d'eau avec WC (en haut et en bas).
