Stable cottage has been converted from the old stable block for Spital House. It is all on one level and is situated next to the current stables within the peaceful grounds of a private estate. There is an abundance wildlife you can view from the cottage - deer, badgers, hares and many birds. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was very quiet and peaceful and in a perfect location for exploring the local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back next time we are in the area

Cottage was easy to find and the grounds are beautiful, it was really clean and the kitchen has everything you need if you are eating in. It is very spacious and comfortable. Staff attending to the horse and ponies were friendly and 2 beautiful friendly dogs. Liz was away when we got there but kept in touch via text. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

A very comfortable cottage with plenty of room, although the shower/toilet is relatively small and cosy. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, etc. Liz the host is very approachable and responsive to requests.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stables Cottage. On arrival the welcome pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We found the cottage well presented and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Stables cottage is conveniently located for both coast and country, alongside being in a secluded and peaceful setting within landscaped gardens. The surrounding gardens and wildlife providing much interest throughout our stay. Stables cottage is highly recommended as a comfortable location and base from which to explore this area of the Scottish Borders and Northumberland.

The house is well equipped in every way- a bit too hot within the cottage but excellent in every wayIt was a pleasant surprise to receive a welcome pack including milk in the fridge Local pub gives excellent evening meals with friendly staff.The pub is only open Wednesday- Sunday evenings.The cottage is situated well to visit place’s of interest .

Beautiful location

Liz the owner welcomed us as we arrived she is lovely, the cottage is very well equipped and the location is so lovely, near to Berwick and surrounding area found it very easily, would recommend it to all.

Great relaxing Bank Holiday weekend away from home

Lovely setting & accommodation, all as advertised. Fabulous grounds with plenty of nature,around when sat outside relaxing. Very good kitted out kitchen, and locally produced welcome treats on arrival. Thanks you very much Liz, would definitely stay again.
