This is our third stay at Poppy and we love this beautiful house. It’s well kept and well stocked with everything you need. It’s a great base to explore the Lizard Peninsula and Cadgwith Cove.

The cottage was the perfect place for my partner, our dog, and me. Paula and Paul are fantastic hosts who give you plenty of space to enjoy your stay, while always remaining available to help out and offer local advice. The cream tea on arrival was a very welcome treat, and the cottage itself was spotless, featuring lovely touches that made it feel incredibly homely. It is just a short walk to The Devil’s Frying Pan—which is well worth a wander over with a glass of wine to watch the moon rise.Cadgwith village is less than a quarter-mile walk down a fairly steep footpath, but it is well worth the effort for the fresh fish and authentic insights into local life. We loved the folk singing at the pub, the great food, and the lovely surrounding walks. The location is also perfectly central for visiting other spots around the Lizard Peninsula.

We had a great stay in poppy cottage. It’s a perfect location, very tranquil setting and the children loved the goats and ducks. It’s very easy to walk to the local pub for dinner either on the coast path or the road. The cottage had everything we needed and was very cosy and stylishly decorated. The local coastal walks are stunning and the main shops aren’t too far away. It’s a perfect place for a peaceful stay.

Paula and Paul were fantastic hosts, any issues were dealt with swiftly and professionally. The house was bigger than expected and we had plenty of space. The access to local walking routes makes this place magical and appreciated the welcome booklet from Paula and Paul highlighting this. We cannot wait to return!

Property in a lovely position just above Cadgwith and within easy walking distanceCottage was great. Clean with everything you could need for a holiday stay.The host could not have been more helpful and was there to greet us on arrival.This was our second visit and would be more than happy to stay again.We took our small dog and there are numerous walks all around.Patrick

Best doggie holiday ever

Excellent property, clean and perfect for our doggies. Area was beautiful so many beach coves to visit, fun was had by all. Would highly recommend.

The host provided very good communication and decorated the cottage with a Christmas tree and festive lights. There was a nice welcome tray of scones, cream and jam and little xmas goodies

A great place.

This is a great place to stay. Great location which is just a short walk down to the cove. The house itself has everything you could want for a couple or small family. We tboroughly enjoyed our stay and if we are ever back in the area we wouldbt hestate to book again.

We had a very nice stay in 'Poppy'. Very friendly hosts, clean, cosy apartment, with beautiful surroundings: the village of Cadgwith is beautiful, and so are the walks you can make directly from the doorstep. Would reccommend it to anyone.
