Number 20 Nautilus is a duplex luxury apartment in a contemporary development adjacent to the magnificent sandy beach at Westward Ho! The holiday apartment is owned and furnished by the architect Guy Greenfield. In 2005 the building won the only Royal Institute of British Architects annual award for architecture in Devon and Cornwall. It has been featured in numerous publications. The apartment is exceptionally spacious, the sculpted roof creates an exciting interior with huge windows to make the most of the sea view. There are three balconies including an external sea facing terrace on the living level with table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining and to enjoy the magnificent sea view and sunsets.

A wonderful place to have a long weekend, yes the weather was kind to us, but we think it would have still been wonderful if the weather was not so good.Spectacular views and a very good nights sleep was had by all, will return

I incredible property in an incredible location! The whole process was seamless, the apartment was comfortable, lovely & bright despite the weather being wet & windy. It had everything we needed for our stay and exceeded our expectations , we would highly recommend this place . thank you

Summer holiday

We love westward Ho and this property was ideally located for the beach, restaurants and pubs. The view from the balcony was perfect!

Lovely apartment and an excellent stay

The location of the property is amazing. Outstanding views and located right in the heart of everything. Was great seeing and hearing the sea so close by. Good communication and the apartment was equipped with everything I needed. Highly recommend

A second visit to this amazingly lovely apartment. The weather was beautiful which was a bonus. Really well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Love the balconies and views.

Spring holiday

We had a lovely break at this apartment, you couldn't fault the view nd everything you wanted was included within the property. Also plenty of amenities in the area ie shops, bakerery and places to eat and drink. We also found it to be quite easy to visit lot's of places around North Devon and Cornwall.

Fantastic views

Light and airy property slightly tired in places but compensated by fantastic sea views. The property is literally on the sea front and close to pubs, cafes and eateries. Communications with both the property manager and the owners were excellent.

Absolutely beautiful apartment. Very clean and modern and just the best location. The pictures don't do it justice. The hosts were so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back...... we were gutted to leave!! Thanks 😊

Great family half term mini break!

Fantastic apartment with great views and perfect location. The apartment itself is exactly as described really comfortable with all you would ever need and more. Suited us with two ten year olds! Great communication with the hosts and flexibility with checkin and check out due to low season, which we really appreciated given the typical half term rain!!!! Lovely area, great walks, long beach and rock pools to explore. Lovely cafés close by…. Definitely go for cake at ‘Tea on the Green’, AMAZING! Atlantic Bay do great fish and chips and we loved the pizza at Pig and Olive! The perfect little trip away 😊

Not as expected, very tired property

We were affected by the weather, there were no blinds in the lounge upstairs and it was scorching, very uncomfortable even with the doors open. Being so close to the sea when we had stormy weather we could n't sleep due to the sound of the crashing sea. The corridors are very narrow in this property and the two flights of stairs far too steep. We were expecting a luxury property from the photos and description; unfortunately this it was not.

I am sorry to hear you had both hot and stormy weather. due to the proximity to the sea these are elements we cannot control, some visitors enjoy watching the changing weather and sea. It is not possible to install blinds upstairs, due to the unusual architectural, shape of the roof, most visitors find that keeping the balcony doors open gives a cooling draft. The corridors and stairs are a standard width and height. the stairs are described in the description and with bedrooms on the first floor, it is possible to rest between levels. Sorry to hear the stairs etc. were a problem for you and that the weather was very changeable.

We've just returned from a 9 day stay in this property in Westward Ho! The property is exactly as described, and very accurate to the images - in fact we found the views even better in real life than the photos here. The flat was very well equipped and is in an excellent location with the beach, pubs, bars and shops all a few minutes away. Communication with the owner was straightforward and effective, and access instructions very clear.Overall very highly recommended.

Fabulous

We loved the apartment. The views are stunning and we enjoyed watching the tide go in and out. Hope to return soon! Only very minor problem is that I found the Verbo app stopped working and I couldn’t send any messages to our hosts.

Excellent location and fantastic sea views

We very much enjoyed our stay at this well appointed apartment. The private parking is an added bonus. It is a short walk to local shops and amenities, and the beach is just across the road. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful views

We stayed in this lovely property last week, it’s in a busy location in Westward Ho! Surrounded by shops, pubs, restaurants etc but looks out on a beautiful beach. Lovely walks. The host is easy to communicate with. Overall a lovely stay.

Fabulous sea view

Had a wonderful holiday. Lovely spacious duplex apartment overlooking the beach. Great location with fantastic sunsets over the sea. Lots of places to visit. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Just what we wanted...

This apartment was just what we wanted, - the sea view from the main bedroom and the living room is superb. All the accommodation was first rate and comfortable to chill out in. Everything is provided to eat in if you wish, and Waitrose delivered to the door. There are places to eat in Westward Ho! itself and plenty to choose between there and Bideford too. The location is great for days out around North Devon.
