Fairytale accommodation. Sylvie was super helpful. The swimming pool is fabulous and the area is lovely, there is so much to do. We loved it.

Lovely location and terrific pool. Downside was definitely no where comfortable to sit.There are quite a lot of cobwebs around but to be expected.Amelie was really helpful during our stay, we had no wifi for the first few days but she came and organised a technician. Just a shame these things weren’t spotted before arrival.Overall a great place to explore from and we had wonderful weather so used the pool loads!!

Highly recommended

This is an amazing place! The house is very spacious (we were there for two weeks with - in varying composition - a maximum of seven people and there was plenty of room for everyone). The well maintained pool is large enough for the whole group and there is a large garden with old trees. The location is peaceful, even though every now and then a local train invisibly passes by at the far end of the huge garden. We highly recommend this place!

Peaceful and beautiful

We had a lovely time staying in this beautiful house, the surroundings are peaceful and tranquile. Just the noise of birds and the occasional tractor in the vineyards. The rooms are neat and clean and all have their own bathroom. The livingroom is huge and has a large dining table. The fire place is big and works, so nice and warm if the weather is dissapointing. The swimmingpool is big and cooling when the weather is hot, enough space for everyone. Do take a guided tour through the vineyards, it is very interesting and the man who does the tours is so nice and full of passion for his profession. Also the tour around the castle is recommended. We had a lovely time and would love to come back one day.

Nice house, some issues

Beautiful looking building and grounds. Lots of spacious rooms. Furnishings in keeping with the house though sofas hard and need respringing. The pool is super and stunning views of the Loire from the belle view. However, it was not really a comfortable house for us. We had notified the owner that two of our adult sons would be joining us but the host assumed they were a couple! This meant that only two bedrooms had been prepared. We asked for more bedding to make up another room, but this was refused. We then had to buy another set of bedding. The central heating was broken, and was not fixed in the two weeks we were there. Also little to no hot water in the evening. The guy who looks after the pool etc. was great and provided an electric radiator and four small fan heaters and access to fire wood, but getting washing or bath towels to dry and keeping warm was difficult (the weather was cold and sometimes wet during our stay in September). The kitchen is very small for the house but is reasonably well equipped. There was only one very large casserole dish so we had to buy one suitable for the four of us. The Kenwood mixer did not work but on the other hand the cooking knives were sharp which is often not the case. In high summer with no need for heating where you can eat outside and have BBQs this house would probably be excellent but the lack of heating/hot water and the lack of cooperation over the bedding slightly spoiled our holiday.

Heerlijke vakantie in prachtige natuur

De Couvent is een zeer comfortabel huis om in te verblijven. Als de zon schijnt is het zwembad heerlijk en als wat kouder is kan de enorme haard aan. Keuken is aan de kleine kant, maar dat is een klein detail.

Séjour au calme

Nous avons pu profiter du calme absolu de la propriété et de la vue magnifique (pas de voisins directs, pas de vis à vis). La piscine a été très appréciée par toute la famille !

Heerlijk ruim sfeervol vakantiehuis met groot zwembad

Met z’n zessen een fijne vakantie gehad in het sfeervolle huis in Tracy sur Loire. Heerlijk rustig, mooie tuin en zwembad. Bij vragen werd er direct gereageerd, top! Auto noodzakelijk voor de vele dorpjes die je in de buurt ( < 1 uur) kunt bezoeken. Tennisbaan in Pouilly, fietsen huren en bezoek aan Sancerre. Aanrader; wijnproeven bij de ‘buurman’ in Chateau de Tracy.

Une semaine sur les bords de Loire

Une maison très agréable au calme au coeur des vignobles. Dans cette semaine de forte chaleur, nous avons largement profité de la magnifique piscine. Entre Sancerre et Pouilly, Tracy est à moins d’une heure de Bourges, et encore moins de la Charité sur Loire ou de Guédelon.

Super environnement

Grande maison (plus grand que ce que nous pouvons imaginer sur les photos). Nous sommes partis à 2 couples avec enfants en bas âge (de 3 mois à 8 ans). La météo n'était malheureusement pas avec nous mais nous avons pu profiter de la piscine (non chauffée) pendant les quelques éclaircies. Vue magnifique, bois très agréable. Pas grand chose à faire à pied et ni aux environs. Cependant nous avons passé un bon moment où chaque famille a pu profiter malgré les rythmes différents. Petit bémol sur la literie de certaines chambres. Cuisine bien équipée.

Depuis ces 3 dernières saisons, nous rénovons l'ensemble de la literie : °l'ensemble du linge de lit a été changé par des parures neuves ; °certains lits sont neufs ; °tous les matelas ont été changés ou améliorés ; si vous voulez bien encore prendre quelques instants, auriez-vous l'amabilité de me préciser dans quelle chambre la literie n'était pas conforme à vos attentes : °au rez-de-chaussée, chambre à l'œil de bœuf ? °à l'étage, chambre jaune ? °à l'étage, chambre Melchior (avec douche) ? °à l'étage, chambre Artus (avec bain) ? Sylvie, notre hôtesse, avait-elle bien mis le linge de lit à motifs pour vos enfants ? Vous a-t-elle proposé le lit parapluie ? Espérant vous recevoir à nouveau chez nous, bien à vous ; Melchior Derouet

Très belle demeure pleine de charme et bien

Séjour très agréable dans une superbe propriété, très propre, ménage parfait. Juste un problème de cafetière dérangeant car sur 2 appareils figurant dans les accessoires promis l’un était absent et l’autre ne fonctionnait pas. Nous remercions Madame d’Assay pour sa courtoise intervention au sujet de ce problème. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre semaine au Couvent.

Parfait pour un séjour au calme avec beaucoup d’activités à proximité

Excellent séjour, grande maison au calme avec une très belle piscine, pas mal d’activités à proximité (pêche, visite de vignobles…) Hôte très disponible sur demande et à l’écoute.

Sérenité et calme

La propriété est au calme, même s'il existe une voie ferrée. Celle-ci est très peu utilisée et est quand même éloignée. Du coup les un ou deux trains qui passent sont extrêmement discrets. D'ailleurs, on se rend compte de rien. Au vue de son emplacement géographique, elle est idéale pour ceux qui souhaitent se couper de la vie quotidienne.

Train noise and cobwebs

We (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here for 2 weeks in summer 2018. The weather was wonderful but the house was very disappointing. How clean was this house? Not very. Ours was not the first booking of this season (according to their booking calendar) but there were many cobwebs around the house and dusty surfaces. Also, bedspread covers were very old and looked as if they hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. And the sofa-bed mattress so stained that we couldn't sit on it let alone sleep on it. This was all despite us being charged a full cleaning fee that presumably had also been charged to the previous renters. Before booking I'd asked the Owner if there was WiFi at the house and I was told there was. For the first week the WiFi was so slow as to be useless and in the second week very intermittent and temperamental. No-one comes to a house in this sort of location for the WiFi quality but 2 weeks without even connection in the evening caused difficulties. Before booking I'd also noticed on Google Maps a train line serving the Tracy-Sancerre station that seemed to pass near the house but there was no mention at all of it in this property's description. So I'd asked the Owner how busy was this train line and whether the trains could be heard near the pool. The Owner had replied "It’s a classic line but it is down the hill. So it feels you are 6 floors above and yes the many trees block the sound." They didn't at all. We heard the trains very clearly in the house and of course by the pool. The trains passed at least every hour, and the earliest passed noisily well before 7am while we were still trying to sleep. This was a very disappointing holiday.

Just a great vacation

Nice old charming house. Large living space. Great location. Peaceful. Clean. Great pool to cool down in on hot days. Everything worked fine. I recommend the house to everybody who likes to enjoy a secluded vacation in the Loire Valley visiting the vine yards, villages and cities around. Don't miss out on Bourge!

Le charme d'une maison de famille dans un site sup

Belle et vaste maison, bien entretenue et décorée avec gout, agrémentée d'une grande et agréable piscine protégée par un volet roulant. Conforme aux photos du site Un séjour très agréable dans une belle région avec de jolis sites à visiter. Ne payez pas la caution sur le site mais directement au propriétaire car nous ne récupèrerons cette somme que fin septembre... Je recommande chaudement cette location.
