We spent 10 very pleasant days in this lovely barn conversion. Feels secluded but only a few minutes drive from Barga where you can find everything you need. Laura was on hand locally to make sure everything was ok.

As a landscape artist, I felt like I was in heaven. We had a thoroughly enjoyable six days, which was not as much as I would have liked.

Spectacular location! It is idyllic. Carol is a very communicative, responsive host. Comfortable bed. We loved the privacy and the proximity to Barga. We recommend and hope to return.

What Three Words are: Wisdom, Drilled, Flamed. This takes you to the parking spot.A beautiful setting in a quiet location overlooking the valley and Barga. Very relaxing to spend time in the house and garden. The garden had wild flowers leading up to the house and young olive trees in the grove.The bread van every morning was a bonus. Barga was just a 30 minute walk away and made for a nice evening stroll.

Barga country living

This place is wonderful, right in the mountains and with a gorgeous view of Barga itself. You can even walk into town via the backroads.

Another wonderful stay

This is our second stay at the barn and we’re planning to return again next year. The accommodation is clean, well presented and spacious. The setting is fabulous, with amazing views across to Barga old town to one elevation and far reaching views across the valley to the mountains to another. The tranquil setting is ideal for a relaxing holiday and being a pleasant 25 min walk to town is ideal to avoid having to go everywhere in the car. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was our third time staying in 4 years, which hopefully says it all. The barn itself is full of character combined with modern fittings. The setting is idyllic with a lovely sunny patio and garden, and gorgeous views across to the duomo and Barga old town, and far-reaching views over the valley. It really is a special place with a sense of tranquility yet just 25 mins walk or 5-10mins drive into Barga. We’ve only been back a few days and already can’t wait to return.

Not very customer friendly. Very basic.

House was furnished without any inspiration, did not feel very welcome or comfortable. Expensive. Will not go to this house again.

We were very sorry to hear that you did not find the property comfortably furnished. This isn't something we've been told about the property before, and we regularly review and replace furnishings (e.g. recent replacement of double mattress), but we do of course take all feedback very seriously, and will continue to review the property's furnishings. Ein sehr hübsches Haus in großartiger Umgebung. Wir hatten eine "Aprilwetter"-Woche erwischt und konnten uns nicht satt sehen am Wechselspiel des Lichts in den Bergen.Zum Haus führt eine kleine aber gut befestigte Berg-Straße.Vermietet werden zwei Häuser, jedes ist aber ganz für sich.Alle Ausstattung funktioniert, und bei Fragen steht vor Ort Laura zur Verfügung.Danke für eine schöne Woche!

Petite maison fort sympa. Petits détails à corriger comme nous étions les premiers locataires de la saison, mais tout résolu grâce à l'excellente communication avec la propriétaire et les personnes sur place. Merci!

So eine schöne Unterkunft! Mitten in der Toskana und das kleine Örtchen Barga ist nicht weit entfernt (10 Minuten mit dem Auto). Wir hatten eine super Zeit und können es sehr empfehlen

Schönes Haus

Sehr schönes Haus. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr gut. Zur Begrüßung war etwas Brot, Butter, Marmelade und Vino da. Der beschriebene „Pane-Van“ war super. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit!

Traumhafter Ausblick

Wir hatten das kleinere Objekt auf dem Grundstück gemietet. Das Has ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung war für uns optimal und der Garten ist mit der Terrasse und dem herrlichen Ausblick einfach wunderbar. Das größere Objekt auf dem gleichen Grundstück hinter unserem Haus, war während unseres Aufenthalts nicht vermietet, so konnten wir die einmalige Ruhe sehr genießen. Die letzten Kurven zum Haus sind nur für ein Fahrzeug befahrbar, dies ist für einen versierten Fahrer jedoch unproblematisch. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

A fabulous location

The farmhouse and barn are in a beautiful spot outside Barga, with fabulous view of the duomo from the outside seating areas. We loved that it was walking distance from the Old Town, Our son and his partner came with us and we all had a wonderful relaxing week. We will be back!!!! 😎

Beautiful Buvicchia

We have stayed at Buvicchia many times and always enjoy its beautiful setting, the peace and quiet it offers but still convenient for Barga centre with it's excellent restaurants and bars. The barn itself is very well equipped and comfortable and I would not hesitate to recommend it to other guests.

A place to chill

This was our 4th visit we just love it. It is basis but very clean and the views are absolutely wonderful. It isn't far from Barga and if you like walking then its A very enjoyable walk.

Barga Beauty

This is a little gem of a capanna and very well equipt. The picture are deceptive as its very spacious for two inside. The views from the terrace are stunning and we had two weeks of beautiful weather. The walk from the house to Barga town is about 30 minutes but lovely to stroll in and enjoy the warm seafood salad at Riccardo's restaurant - a must. Alpino's for the best capaccino and cake to kick start your day. We had everything we needed in the capanna and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great Value and would highly recommend it to explore the acient town of Barga and experience the many events and places to visit during the summer. Thank you for the easy transactions and communication in our booking and we will certainly be looking to return.

Lovely Converted Barn with Great Views.

We stayed for two weeks in June 2009 and were blessed with beautiful weather. The property is clean, well equipped and very spacious for two. The area is hilly affording beautiful views of the Apuane Alps and Barga. Although the area is hilly the 25 minute walk to Barga is relativley flat and easy. Barga is a quiet town with a maze of narrow streets, plenty of restaurants and enough life to watch passing by. Its a ten minute drive to the local train station where you can park the car and catch the train to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. We will recommend this property to our friends.
