Beautiful Break

Absolutely fantastic stay. Loved walking around the holiday park enjoying the views. The staff were lovely and the location was great - 5 minutes from the town. Will definitely be back!

Fabulous Stay

This was our fourth time visiting the Rhayader site with this being our second time in Hillside View. If you want a peaceful, off the beaten track getaway with a secured plot for your dog with fabulous views enjoyed from the hot tub - this is the place for you. The accommodation has everything you need for your stay. A short drive to the town which has a few shops for essentials and a couple of lovely pubs and cafes with a riverside walk perfect for dog walking and a bit of bird spotting. A visit to Elan Valley is also a must. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely stay!

The hillside view was a beautiful place to stay! Beautiful views of the valley, very comfortable beds! And much more spacious than I would have thought for a hut! Everything was modern and very very clean! The hot tub was excellent, great fenced in area for kids to run around and play! Grounds were kept in excellent condition! We had some user error with the shower but we were helped quickly! We took a walk around to see all of the animals which was fantastic, and explored some local areas as the weather was nice A small climbing frame or something swings for the kids would be a brilliant addition to the area Would definitely love to come back!

Hillside view

We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub jets weren’t working too well but we made the most of it, the children enjoyed the tub. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Our second visit to the views, definitely recommend this Site for cleanliness, the views are amazing!

Few days away with partner and dog

Couldn't have asked for anything else, Except for on some websites it shows that there is a microwave and it doesn't Could be misreading for some but having been there before i wasn't expecting one

Lovely place

Beautiful hut perfect location and spacious. Kids loved the garden and we all loved the hot tub. Everything was perfect and it was nice to escape to the countryside Kids fav place to visit was the pump ramps with their bikes in the town.

Hillside View April 2024

The location is absolutely perfect with stunning views and only a few minutes into the town. The place was clean and the facilities were just what you need for a little getaway. This is our third time and we will definitely come back again!

Lovely little Shepherds hut in mid waled

We had a great weekend in hillside view; its in a great location to go and explore Elan valley and the dams, and only a short drive to the village of Rhayader to get essentials or a takeaway. We loved the hot tub and the enclosed garden for our dog. Beds were comfy and all utensils provided. Fantastic stay, thank you.

Nowhere better to relax

A fabulous stay in a spotlessly clean and comfortable shepherd's hut. Cosy and warm with everything we could need. The enclosed garden was a huge bonus for our dog. The hot tub is a great feature and we were lucky to see red kites overhead whilst enjoying the valley views from the tub. Would have no hesitation in recommending for a relaxing break.

Great little secluded stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in Hillside View. It’s on a lovely site with great views over the countryside. Close driving proximity to a little town with pubs, a shop and takeaways (if needed). Very clean accommodation with a few little welcome treats, which was a nice touch. Hot tub a really nice addition and the enclosed garden was great for the dog.

Staycation.

This is our 2nd time here as a family with dog and we again would come back. 2nd time also staying in the same lodge. Had issues with shower and electrics and the onsite guys sorted straight away, no hesitation. Great service and lovely conversation with then also. Location= stunning. Town= quaint. To Do= loads. Recommended to friends and family already.

Second time staying & it was even better

We stayed here in 2021 in the May. It was partially in lockdown in Wales but it was amazing then. We had out two young kids& dog. We loved it. So when I saw it pop up again at a reasonable price I booked it for August 2026. And again it was perfect. Perfect timing with the weather (there was a heatwave which unfortunately couldn't escape from sadly) but we had the eclipse & meteor shower as well. Fantastic location to see both. Theres a local forest walk with a large river just in the town. It also has a playground & benches. The red kite centre ( a bit expensive £37 for a family of 4 plus a dog fee, just to watch 10 minutes of birds feeding from a distance. Theres nothing else in the site). There's also the reservoir walks no to far away on a drive. Plus a nature reserve walk 10 minute down the road by car. The van itself was clean , well stocked with kitchen equipment, had milk, tea, coffee on arrival & clean towels. Enclosed clean garden for the dog. The sofa folds up into a double bunk (not suitable for very small children as its very high & steps are very steep) The only criticism if I have to put one is the hot tub has seen better days. The lid is broken on one side and the jet tops keep popping off when in use. The maintenence guy kept popping in to look at it but I think it's due for an upgrade. But Over all it's a 10/10 for me and my family. Its ideal for young families up to older couples looking to get away. We will definitely be back. We made great memories again ♡

Perfect stay

Just had are second stay at hillside view and once again we had a lovely stay the hut is lovely and clean big garden and the views are amazing it was lovely to see the upkeep of the hut since we last stayed and it had had a fresh coat of paint and freshened up the weather was not on are side but we made the most of it plenty to explore near by and the girls enjoyed going to the local play centre we will definitely return again in the future Thankyou for a perfect stay Lara and family

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

A wonderful relaxing weekend at Hillside. Weather was kind so we lit a fire and watched the sun go down after a dip in the hot tub. Our dog loved the enclosed garden. Everything you need in the cabin. Spotlessly clean. Very quiet and peaceful. We have stayed on this site for a few years now in a number of their properties and can't fault it.

40th birthday trip away

The location was amazing, near to a local town and lots of attractions. The accommodation was lovely and well maintained. My only issue was we couldn’t use the hot tub the first night as had to be emptied and wasn’t up to temperature when we went to use it later. Apart from that would definitely come back in hotter weather.
