The property was exceptionally clean and the location was perfect for our needs. Contact with the host was easy and prompt. The WiFi connection was excellent and the facilities were exactly as listed. Being able to park onsite was useful. The sun lounge are decking were lovely and the views were spectacular. There were lots of chairs inside and outside and plenty of comfy sofas for relaxing inside. All in all a perfect holiday rental experience.

Wonderful stay - beautiful views and short walk to amenities. Property has everything you need, lovely conservatory and decking, and pretty garden areas.

The communication from Chris the host was excellent, she was extremely helpful and gave us plenty of extra information about the area. The chalet was clean, comfortable and well appointed, its location was amazing with such beautiful loch walks fantastic for our dog. The local cafe, Inn and locals in general were all so welcoming. I would definitely recommend the chalet to anyone wanting beautiful scenery on your doorstep!

Tayvallich is a great spot to explore the surrounding countryside and coastline. The chalet has a lovely sunny conservatory and deck with views to the lock. There are comfortable beds and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us. (We didn’t use the 3rd bedroom). WiFi is fine. We spent every morning kayaking from the easily accessible shore (which the dog loved as well) and some mornings even paddled across to get fresh sourdough bread from the honesty box across the bay. My one criticism is that there is no washing machine - but this is a minor concern. We had a wonderful week and would recommend the chalet.

Peaceful break

The house and surroundings are lovely. We enjoyed a restful stay in Tayvallich. The house is very well-appointed and the terrace and conservatory area are both great places to sit and chill out.

This a lovely chalet in a beautiful location....incredibly peaceful with fantastic views. It was more spacious than I expected from the photos and was very comfortable. The kitchen area is small and it would have been good to have bit more storage space for food. There's a great variety of walks in the surrounding area and I was happy to see otters nearby.

Excellent views plus lots of comfort

The chalet is extremely comfortable. Could sit on the comfy sofa's in the conservatory all day just admiring the view of the loch and the comings and goings of the boats.Was better than anticipated.Also enjoyed exploring the surrounding area especially the Crinan canal.

Christmas at Tayvallich

Lovely property in a fantastic location. We were within walking distance of the pub and the bay overlooking Jura. The kitchen was well equipped and the main bedroom spacious and comfortable. Central heating would make this a perfect house for a break.

A lovely property which had everything we needed. It was clean and well maintained with a luxurious feel- lovely big bed and high quality towels. The only thing to be aware of is that the garden isn't enclosed so we had to keep a close eye on our dog when the patio doors were open in the sunshine

Tayvillich is charming

If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back.

Lovely house in quiet location

A very pleasant holiday house. There's a spacious conservatory, patio and garden at the back with lovely views over the loch. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher. (No washing machine or tumble dryer.) There's no traffic noise. We will probably stay there again.

Relaxing and chilled holiday

The property was spacious with three bedrooms, ensuite, bathroom and toilet for myself and my two teenagers. The location was very quiet except for the occasional barking dog. The house eas next to the loch and a nature reserve which i enjoyed very much. i had the opportunity to walk round the nature reserve, and I was able to enjoy my kayak in the loch. There were also many walking routes nearby.

Family trip to visit friends in the area

Fantastic location on the harbour shore. Clean and tidy with 3 great bedrooms, good facilities and a great conservatory and deck looking over the boats. 5-10 min walk to the village with a good pub and shop and the passenger ferry to Jura. Slight glitch finding location, VRBO location didn’t match property. Also be aware no washing machine. Would definitely come again.

it was ok but there was a mouse invasion we used the mouse traps and got 3 all pans had mouse droping and it need a washing machine the rest all good

Thank you for the review Martin although poorer than expected.Apologies for the mice invasion.We occasioally get field mice in they are very determined but so are we and have a house sealing plan in hand. In the light of your comment about a washing machine we will make sure future guests are aware of that as although we dont state there is one its easy to assume so thanks for that.

We had a very enjoyable stay in the cottage, which is a warm dry and very comfortable house. It was very clean. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and we were pleased to find the fridge freezer in the utility room. The WiFi was good enough to stream Netflix etc. Excellent showers in the bathrooms. The grass had been cut and so there was easy access to the lochside. The spacious conservatory was a great place to sit and watch the activity in the loch. The parking was really only suitable for one car or 2 small ones.

The only fault we found with the house is the decking area the decking boards were loose causing a trip hazard .Also the right hand saftey rail is very unstable.
