A Gem of a Lodge.

We had a magnificent stay at Forest Trail Lodge from 18/5/26 - 25/5/26. The lodge was immaculate on arrival and everything perfect for ourselves my son and daghter-in-law and 18 month old grandson. I could not fault anything from the design of the lodge, the comfort of the beds and couches, and the range of kitchen crockery and utensils. The range of wild birds and a red squirrel delighted us all especially grandson Liam and I would recommend getting a bag of wild birdfood early in the stay to get as much benefit as possible. All in all a great week and we hope to return next year.

The forest is on the doorstep which is fantastic for walking whether with a dog or not. A lovely lodge to come back to after a cold walk. Cosy and with plenty hot water for showers etc. A fab venue for a family get together.

Amazing place in a great location

We had a fantastic time in Forest Trail Lodge. It is perfectly located in the village of Nethy Bridge with an abundance of walks around the area. The house itself was ample room for us all and felt like a ‘home from home’. We found the app highly useful, both before and during our stay. There was a problem with the heating and hot water during our first night, however Audra was incredibly helpful and communicative about everything too. This was sorted very quickly and did not hinder a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Lovely forest cottage

Beautiful comfortable cottage, very spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. A super location right next to the forest where we saw deer and red squirrels. A lovely base for touring Speyside, away from the bustle of Aviemore.

May break

The house was in a great location with walks from the doorstep. Rooms were large and airy with plenty of equipment in the kitchen for self catering apart from a bottle opener and a potato people. Communication was good. Thanks I would book again.

Family break

I rented Forest Trail Lodge for my husbands birthday and we were not disappointed. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The lodge is very spacious and has a nice homely feel to it. The huge garden with the forest at the back was wonderful for the children. We will definitely try and return in future.

Nethy Bridge visit

Great house with a superb enclosed garden for the dog, great surprise of a pool table in the garage. Location is perfect for peaceful walks straight from the door and back garden with access to the forest through the garden gate. Lovely rooms with everything you need. Only thing I would comment on is the rubbish bins were full when we arrived, apart from that everything was perfect and we had a great time with excellent weather which helps immensely- thank you.

Fantastic stay in Nethy Bridge

From the minute we walked through the door, we knew that Forest Trail Lodge was a special place. The layout of the house is perfect with access into the forest from the gate in the garden. Beds very comfy and the house has everything you could want for a week's holiday. We were blessed with beautiful weather all week and had a fantastic time. The garden was perfect to relax in and is totally enclosed so safe for kids and pets. We would love to return but understand that the house has recently been sold. If the new owners decide to rent out Forest Trail Lodge as a holiday home we will certainly be back.

Fabulous place to stay

Forest trail lodge is a delightful house. Perfect setting next to the woods, the house is spacious and comfortable with everything you need. It’s a very social house with social spaces in the living and dining areas. Spotlessly clean with large rooms. The Great North Lodges app is very useful and helpful with the information provided and discounts for eating out. The house is expensive to rent but I guess that’s just current costs. Will definitely return.

Fantastic week!

Our second visit to Forest Trail Lodge, we were so lucky with the weather this time round. We were able to see the house at its best and made the most of the trails from the front door. The house has a lovely flow, the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. The garden is enclosed which kept our little dog safe. A lovely selection of welcome gifts was provided, thank you. We would highly recommend the Nethy Bridge cafe and the Balliefurth Farm shop/ butchers (a short walk away) Thank you, we can't wait to return!
